Freeze and cannot type anything, need to start in safe mode

Firefox suddenly do not allow me to enter in dialogs of a Web site, a Web site, or browse the toolbar. It just goes back to normal when I pass in 'Safe Mode '. I disabled each card add on etc, without success. Using the latest version (v15). I tried to uninstall and install without success.

Two things happened that may have contributed: installed ZoneAlarm and installed Adobe flash. I removed the two of them now, and Firefox still does not - I am now using Chrome which does not seem to suffer the same issues as Firefox - goodbye Mozilla, you have been so good to me in recent years.

An additional feature of Safe Mode, is that it disables hardware graphic acceleration. You could try in 'normal' mode as follows.

You need to restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

Orange Firefox button or classic menu Tools > Options > advanced

In the mini ' General' tab, uncheck the box for "use hardware acceleration when available.

If you restart Firefox, the problem is solved?

    Try this to save your data:

    Data recovery:

    1. slave of your hard drive in another computer and read/save your data out there.

    2. put your Hard drive in a USB hard drive case, plug it into another computer and read/save from there.

    3 Alternatively, use Knoppix Live CD to recover data:

    http://www.Knopper.NET/Knoppix/index-en.html

    Download/save the file Knoppix Live CD ISO above.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm
    Download the Vista software from the link above.
    After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.
    Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.
    Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1 in the boot order.
    Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.
    When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.
    Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.
    Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).
    Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.
    See you soon.
  • MacBook air does not start in safe mode
    Hello
    I have a MacBook air 2015 and my disk got full and now I can not connect with my user. The progress bar stuck at 100%, and the system won't let me connect. I have read that I need to start in safe mode but I can't do it. My MacBook does not sound at startup and even if I press the SHIFT key the system takes me to safe mode. The only thing I can do is to go into recovery mode.
    Can someone tell me please in the right direction.
    You can use target disk Mode to access the MBA:
    When you delete or copy files on the MBA, remember to empty the trash.  Then only the space is allocated for the new data.
    I already got Malewarebytes Anti Maleware and installed AVG, but this virus that bypassed and infected my computer. I tried the standard F8 during startup to go into safe mode and run my anti virus scanners, but apparently it does not work in windows 8. Some say SHIFT F8, that does not work either. Also any other method of setting up safe menu starting boot or mode does not work as it should connect on the desktop to go threw the settings and activate it for the next boot upward. This does not work for me since the virus I have apprently made my fall display driver, after I get my user password to start the desktop computer, so I don't see anything but the pointer of the mouse, everything is black.     Hello
    > Windows will only start in safe mode or safe mode with networking
    It seems that the bootmanger is corrupt or something like this
    > I really don't want to lose all my contacts!
    I know, I Safe mode, you have access to all data on the hard drive. So, you can move all the important data on USB or on the partition (if available) 2 nd on your hard drive and you don't need to remove the hard drive
    Then you can reinstall Windows with a recovery disc or by using the disk copy of Win. This is the best solution in your case, try to fix windows can take a lot of time as a new installation.
