  Good night. I bought a 9100 pearl unlocked. Everything on the phone works fine except one thing.

  I was not able to take 3g because I got on the phone. I brought the phone to my service provider where I discovered that the phone's 3g bands are not compatible with their 3g network. (They went into the section of the phone and 3 g bands listed there were 1,4,8). The bands used on their network are 1,2,5,6.  I want to know if it is hardware or software controlled and if something can be done to change the tapes of 1,2,5,6. Any help would be appreciated.

  Wanted to see what time it was this morning and my phone is empty. Everything I pressed the button and it does nothing (the battery is not dead), press the power button... nothing. Tried a reboot hard by pulling the battery still nothing. Connected to the charger to see if the screen would light up, nothing. Tried to connect to computer still nothing. Never let drop the phone or get wet.

  Less than a few months ago, I had a new Pearl 9100. Two days ago I had to remove the battery and after I put the battery back on, the phone started to reset itself. It is the red light on the top right the start screen of Blackberry with white line where you can guess how much of the OS has loaded (percentage bar?)

  It loads about 1 to 2% of the bar and then it resets. I tried to reload the OS according to the scheme instructions on this site, but it is not possible, since the phone is not long enough for the upgrade.

  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  Have you tried these steps to recharge your device software?

  1. check that the Desktop Manager and BlackBerry Device Software are installed on the computer.
  2 remove the battery from the BlackBerry. Do not re - insert.
  3. connect the BlackBerry to the computer.
  4. in the main screen of BlackBerry Desktop Manager, click on Application Loader.
  5. click on start.
  6. click on Options to select the applications to install.
  7. click on next.
  8. click Next.
  9. click on finish.
  10. when the load of the application starts, reinsert the battery into the BlackBerry.

  My blackberry pearl was crushed by a vehicle. I can receive and make calls, but my screen is not working. I need to find a way to transfer my phonebook from internal memory to my sim card, but I don't see what I'm doing. How can I do this? I don't see any option when it is plugged in to my computer and make a backup of any file and put it on my press card. Please help I have a lot of numbers, I need.

  Don't try to transfer it to your sim card.

  Desktop Manager allows you to make a full backup of the device.  Get your replacement camera, then restore the backup to it.  In addition, you could synchronize with Outlook and then sync again.  However, the backup is the easiest way if you are going to get another BB.

  I thought.  I restarted many wet BlackBerrys.  However, it is imperative that the device removed battery immediately and do not have rear power until completely dry.  If the device cannot be disassembled it may take several days in a warm place or in a bag of uncooked rice.

  Launch the BlackBerry in safe mode and go to Options > Advanced > Applications and delete that last charge (BBM) application, then restart the machine in normal mode.

  I can't have the gps to work on blackberry maps.  I can get a satellite signal using the test program free telus navigator.  I'm womdering if telus makes the blackberry maps not to pick up the satellite signal in the cards blackberrry free so u pay the extra money to use the router to telus telus adavertises the Pearl has an internal receiver that works with the blackberry browser).  I would really like to use blackberry maps with gps work - can someone help me with this.

  One thing that I tried that seems to work at least occasionally time to erase the memory of the device before you open maps of BB.  It seems to work I think maybe the international program out of the internal memory until u clean the memory.  You can do this by going to options-security-clear memory.  You can also put an icon to empty the memory on your screen.  Give it a try and see if I work for you.  Kevin Miehm

  I have a Pearl 8220.  I wish I had a Style.  (I like the flips.  ) T-Mobile does not offer carry Style unfortunately.  Can I buy a Style somewhere else & just put the Sim Card from my 8220 in it?  Would this work?

  The BlackBerry Style is a CDMA device and does not have a SIM card, so it wouldn't work.

  I have a Pearl 9105. There is no icon for the maps so I downloaded the Blackberry site maps. I downloaded it twice, once via a device and once via a PC. Twice, I received a message stating the complete installation and the unit restarts, but I can find maps anywhere on the device. Icons in the menu are set to "Show all" and nothing is hidden. I have a data plan with my service provider, but it is not specific to Blackberry (BES) non-registered). Is someone can you please tell me if Blackberry Maps is compatible with Pearl 9105 and if so, how can I make you properly install and use it.

  Do I need a Blackberry data plan for cards to work.

  It is available for the 9105.

  However, your data plan should be specific for BlackBerry Maps BlackBerry.
