Having a very bad Friday afternoon, no idea how I can eliminate a possible race condition? I have a working script intermittently :(

The architect suggested it might be a race condition, can someone with a lot more experience than me (it's pretty anyone) suggests an alteration that may well solve this problem? I guess I could put breaks in but I'm not 100% where would be the best place to do so or if maybe it's the mickey mouse method?

Have you ever tried to test if $ds-eq $null before you call the RefreshDatastoreStorageInfo method?

In the error message, it looks like $ds contains $null, no idea why when the data store 'LUN9_BASIC_MATADM_ONLY' exists in the environment in which you are conencted.

In fact, you could test immediately after the Get-data store.

Ah, but wait, you seem to be doing the first Get-Datastore (there are two in the script, but I guess you know) before the connect-VIServer, it won't work.

Unless I'm missing something here

Satellite C50 - B - 11 L - erratic Touchpad

Hello

I have a Tosh C50 - B - 11 L for only 2 weeks (to replace an old Tosh Satellite L300, which was very reliable).
I want to throw it away, due to the response of the touchpad. It will freeze or no reagent, erratic, will ignore the taps, etc. Causing destruction at the sites where the cursor is not where he appeared to
be. And is extremely frustrating, as I am simply unable to use the laptop to its potential.

I got the latest driver of momentum. I see that this seems to be a problem, that does not seem to be addressed properly by Toshiba.

Any suggestions? Could I delete the drivers of the momentum and always have a touchpad to work?
Or should I forget it and buy a hardware mouse (which rather defeats the point)

Looks like in there was no one else here for awhile. My question will likely go unanswered as well.

Personally, I think that the touchpad, that you got was made at 3:30 Friday afternoon, recently classified computer of someone with exactly the same type of problems. Turned out there, it was nothing of evil to his computer, it was the wireless mouse get funky.

But there is another thing that is interesting to watch too, she is part of a tutorial to help Google Desktop, I wrote and it may be relevant to your problems as well. Background programs

It is the most common problem with Windows, programs running in the background. Some programs such as your antivirus software must run constantly in the background so that they can check all files that it is open and make sure that you're not everything to trigger a virus. I wonder if anyone can help. I took a laptop Toshiba Satellite L350-170 on Thursday received last week, left turning the battery for 24 hours before using (oh patience!)-he walks from Friday afternoon at around 15:00 and step 1 and step 2 of the initial installation went well. I created my profile login and password. He then started on step 3. Unfortunately I had to leave my office for a meeting, (the laptop is my personal, I got it to be delivered at work), and I guess he went into hibernation or mode 'sleep', because I had to sign in again when I came back to it.

I decided to leave over the weekend, but this morning, I had to reconnect, and it still occupies in step 3 to the top... it's now under 2.5 hours and it's still step 3 - is it meant to take this long? What IS 3 stage? Installation of the software?

I'm obviously reluctant to turn it off (certainly a last resort), but it's very, very stupid. every few minutes I turn and move the mouse on the touchpad. Someone at - he encountered this before? What is the bust? Should I turn off and see what happens?

If anyone has any suggestions I would be extremely grateful.

I put t know what happened with you for laptop and why the installation doesn t go to the next step and doesn t finished, but I guess something was wrong during installation and now the OS crashes.

Try to recover again and check if you can complete the installation.
Press F8 after you turn on the laptop.
Then choose the option called fix my computer.
Then a new window opens and there you have to choose the last option called Toshiba recovery.

Well, now the new recovery will begin and the operating system will reinstall again.

Omega TCP IP 66 error

Good Friday afternoon!

I used the web interface for my OMEGA with Option Ethernet iNFB counter successfully. Now, I'm rehearsing the communication in Labview. The program appears to write the data very well but then does not receive a response back, or at least Windows is not patient enough to wait one because I get error 66 to try to read. I added a while loop to re-establish the connection when an error trying to read is reported. I still get no response from the unit. The format of the command is:

* - selected character recognition (any character from ASCII table)

X - read measurement data in decimal format

01. address of the first sensor (actually only)

-carriage return

When this command via the interface 'internet', the device reacts with (for example): X0100076.0.

Fixed probe is a probe of RTD and playback of content in the response is correct: 76.0.

Solution:

The attached above code works fine (less the while loop) when the i-server is properly configured to accept connections. Apparently, when you use the Web interface, this parameter is ignored and regardless of access. To configure the iserver for access set the "number of connections" greater than 0, most often 1 should suffice. Once it's done VI standard TCP/IP communication as fasteners at the top works like a charm.

I hope I can save someone else some time...

Coordinates of the elements in the array

I'm playing with mouse click coordinates, especially because his Friday afternoon , but also because it might be useful

In the attached code, I want to click on one of the channels of my table control and what element of the array corresponds to (which later will be used to draw the other pieces of the code based on the content of table)

I can use the position of the table and the coordinates of the mouse and everything works fine.
BUT... only if I select the zero element until I run the code. If I select another element, then run the code, I get wrong results.

-Are there a way to get the coordinates of the element zero of my table regardless of what the user has done?

I can think of workarounds using the coordinates of the control table (rather than details of the chain), but it is affected by the label size/visibility control feels so less reliable.

I swear does not change a thing between Friday afternoon happiness and sadness of this Monday morning! Despite this, I had a devil of a time getting everything working again. I even uninstalled and reinstalled MySQL (twice).

- MySQL 5.5.19
When I go into the dance of creation of the file *.udl, top reports success Test button.

Using a control of the chain with the Enter key, return * and * allowing repeated identical entry

There must be a simple solution for this, but it's Friday afternoon, and my brain is not cooperating.

I create a simple terminal through which a user can interact with an instrument. My question is about the only query string control. The button send and the Terminal Table are here for reference.

Here is my desired behavior:

(a) the user types a command in the field of the query, tape input or return. An event is triggered, and the request is sent to the instrument. The focus remains on the field in the query.

(b) with any other action the interface user, the user types Enter or return again and again, by triggering an event that sends the request to the instrument every time Enter or return is typed. The focus remains on the field in the query.

Here's what I have:

This allows for one), but fails to b). The reason is, because the value of the field in the query has not changed, change value event does not fire when the user starts to spam keys enter or return. There is a way around this, as suggested by this post. Here is the solution in a few words:

Instead of looking for the change in the value of the query command, the event fires for each key event to the bottom of the control and resembles a pressure of enter key or return. What attracts the user action, even if the content of the field of the request have not changed. The problem with this approach is that, when this event fires, I need to read the value of the query string order and send it to the instrument, but the value I get via the local Variable query is the old value, probably because the key down event fires before the value of query is saved as changed. Is there a way to programatically "enter" the contents of the control channel so it is recorded as a change in value, until I have the question via a local Variable? Is there a different way I should go about it? I'd rather not do anything that bound the input keys or return to this particular area, since I have many other UI elements that need these keys in my program.

I thought about it.

In any case: I've been labelling my curls for documentation purposes. It seems OK but years ago, a developer, that I worked with was a great way to make the color of the label and the context of the loop look seamless. I can't duplicate this look. Anyone know what I want to talk to and know how to do this? My apologies for not having an example.

Spread the table 4 d - I give up...!

This might be a typical question on Friday afternoon, but I was stuck on this now pretty much all day and close enough to throw the laptop out the window.

The case is as follows

* I've sorted 5 markers in a 4 d array by which I have 5 volumes

* Each volume (marker) contains data sets 5 in 5 pages

* Each dataset is built out of lines and columns of different lengths (less than 10% of the other), but a similar amount of columns.

* Each columns is another measurement channel

The amount of repetitions and markers as well as duration of the measurement of markers is variable.

I now try to way automatically to the data for each channel (column) with the other relevant channel data in a marker.

So, for example, I would like to create a graph of resources (+ stdev) of channel 1, for each marker.

I have attached a picture example for reference, I am using LabVIEW 11.0.1f (yes I know this is acient!) and would really appreciate your help!

Your average isn't too far unless I am struggling to understand what you're trying to average.

Autoindexing is your friend.

Start by autoindexing on the volume/marker (outside of the loop)

Then automatic index in the page/group of data (1st level nested loop)

Then transpose your data set so that the next level will loop on columns.

Then autoindex in each column.

Band of zeros and driving through the deviation Std and Variance.vi.

Automatic indexing on your results for standard deviations and the average and you have a 3D tables where the first clue is marker, hint 2 dataset, 3rd column.

DPM - check on the status of a consistency check?

Recently, our (virtual) file server crashes, so I had to perform a consistency check on the volume.

The total size of the data is approximately 2 TB

The consistency check was launched Friday afternoon but it still says "checking" in DPM

Is there a way to check on the current status of the consistency check that is % completion?

I want to basically just to check that he is doing something and it is not just say that it is.

How to restore Windows Updates?

RE this post, automatic updates of Windows 7 have broken my development environment and cost me some valuable development time!

Friday afternoon, windows update did some updates during my lunch break, after which I was unable to debug applications at all. This seems to be a known issue.

Is it possible to make back, or do I have to re - install the OS/IDE from scratch and turn off the automatic updates permanently?
