frmcmp cannot compile the modules containing SQL code that connected to the database

Hello

I checked several hundred messages of the forum on the net without finding a solution.

I have a Linux server with 11.1 WebLogics (11 GR 1 material) and FormsRuntime installed.

I am logged in as root.

I put all the environment variables based on the values in default.env.

In addition, I updated TERM and ORACLE_TERM vt220. And TNS_ADMIN to the location of the sqlnet.ora and tnsnames.ora.

I compiled a simple .pll containing only the following code:

IS test PROCEDURE

an INTEGER: = 0;

BEGIN

a: = 1;

END;

command:

frmcmp_batch module = TESTLIBPLAIN.pll userid=myuser/mypassword@mydb module_type = LIBRARY output_file = TESTLIBPLAIN.plx compile_all = Yes = Yes = No. batch connection

result: successful compilation. generated .plx.

now, I'm trying to compile an another .pll containing just the following code:

IS test PROCEDURE

an INTEGER: = 0;

BEGIN

Select 1 in the doubles.

END;

command:

frmcmp_batch module = TESTLIBSQL.pll userid=myuser/mypassword@mydb module_type = LIBRARY output_file = TESTLIBSQL.plx compile_all = Yes = Yes = No. batch connection

result: error:

the two libraries differ by having used SQl commands or not.

I tried to compile some more complex .pll and .fmb containg the SQL code. I get similar error messages. The messages that I receive for each module are the same, I would get when compiling the module with FormBuilder 9i (Windows) without being connected to the database.

So my first thought was, this frmcmp_batch is unable to connect to the database.

BUT:

From frmcmp_batch with an invalid user, password, or database name not existing (resp. not in tnsnames.ora), results in appropriate error messages (not found TNS, refusal to sign etc.).

With myuser/mypassword@mydb I don' t get this kind of messages.

sqlplus myuser/mypassword@mydb works.

myuser can access all objects in the database mydb.

mydb tnsping works.

When I check v$ session on mydb while (!) frmcmp_batch is running, I see that it is in fact a db session, created from myuser: DB-User = myuser, terminal = myappsever, osuser = root, remote process = frmcmp_batch.  And State of the current session of the db is ACTIVE.

As a result, frmcmp_batch fails with error messages that I expect that when there is no connection to the base, if it is connected!

Any ideas what could be wrong with my setup?

Help appreciated.

Jean

I found the solution. Seems, fmrcmp 11g can connect to, but compiles not on the 9i database. With the help of a Database 11 g resolves the problem :-)

  • ColdFusion 10 - cannot create the database

    I think that this error has to do with permissions, but I'm not sure.  I'm not under personal service accounts to run IIS 7.5 or Coldfusion.  There is some dirt on my server and Setup:

    History of this server:

    A installed version 9.0.1.  Installled CF 10 Beta and then uninstalled beta 9 and 10 to install 10 final.  Ran into a problem with IIS 7.5 refusing to release some settings somewhere deep beyond web.config files so it was a dev server I simply uninstalled IIS 7.5 role and also uninstalled WAS, wonderful Windows Process Activation Service, test function (if it is really what it is... more as a burden IMO) and delete the files C:\ColdfusionX and C:\inetpub to purge settings and garbage.  I then rebooted and again installed IIS and WAS.  The previous problem had nothing to do with the substance of data base, it was the IIS for CF 10 connector not properly be created and applied by IIS, resulting in .cfm files offered for download.

    After all the changes, I was able to connect to the CF admin date to which I applied the update of 10 CF 2.  Web server here on out stuff is practically install stock.

    Complete cleaning action

    Ah shucks!  I can't believe how far from the solution I was looking for.  Documentation has revealed what I had to do it even if it honestly should have probably been better treated with the best comments of the error.

    "Note: when you add an Apache Derby Embedded data source, verify that the specified directory does not exist."

    Which is a bit ridiculous given a fileOpen dialog box is provided which means just the opposite.

    I came across this problem before CF 9 awhile back and I am surprised it is still hidden and I had forgotten about it.

  • DBCA cannot create the database in 12 c in Windows

    Hello

    After the installation of Oracle 12 c on R2 Windows Server 2012 and successfully running the netca command to configure the listener, I run with the DBCA tool question

    It throws an error message of "Recovery Manager could not restore the data files"

    I looked at the log files, here is some information:

    Corrupt block 1 found during the backup piece, reading file=C:\ORACLE\PRODUCT\12.1\DBHOME_1\ASSISTANTS\DBCA\TEMPLATES\SEED_DATABASE. DFB, corr_type = 4

    Review of blocknum = 1, file=C:\ORACLE\PRODUCT\12.1\DBHOME_1\ASSISTANTS\DBCA\TEMPLATES\SEED_DATABASE. DFB, found the same corrupted data

    Not sure if this helps, but I am attaching several log files to help debug the problem.

    I read the post DBCA cannot create the database in 12 c, but it doesn't quite have an answer.

    Looks like a bad installation or a bad block on your disk. Have you tried creative using the "Custom Database" model in the wizard dbca (one that does not come with the data files)? It will take more time to create, but shouldn't read the dbca reported as corrupted file

    Nothing to do with the Muse at all. You have things backwards. If you use a dynamic interface, you work in the API hooks and predefined functions and that he don't just slap on an arbitrary HTML façade. It is simply not how it works.

    Connection string is "connect username/password@database".

    The analysis schema is a database account, that's why you can log on to SQL * more like that.

    This allows to get the database name

    select instance_name from v$instance;

    And if you forgot the password for the PT

    alter user PT identified by 'your_new_password';

    When I have a parameter not valid, the I often resolve when the database does not open is to simply create a pfile the spfile file:

    sqlplus

    Connect / as sysdba

    create pfile='/home/oracle/pfile.txt 'to spfile='/u01/app/oracle/product/12.1.0.2/dbs/spfileorcl.ora ';

    Then use a text editor to fix the value of the parameter. When done, save the changes. Then create spfile from pfile this and you should be able to start the instance.

    create spfile='/u01/app/oracle/product/12.1.0.2/dbs/spfileorcl.ora 'to pfile='/home/oracle/pfile.txt ';

    startup

Can anyone help to suggest if there is an example of code that is a bit detailed with a kind of complex problem which will give students a hands good example? I see a nice example at this link: http://tucano.tucanowebdesign.com/oracle/tutorial5.html - on an inventory system. It gives the feeling of being one on the issue of real-world work. So that if anyone knows of some other example say about 150 t0 300 lines or so of the code, I'll be grateful if it is shared.

    Thank you

    That said, I feel again (my perception) that more code a person writing/comments the better he gets. So, I want students to examine several code examples. I guess I need to see some books to bring out some really long piece of PL/SQL - like case studies.

    . . .
    But these guys are too busy and so I try to find the net / books some really detailed examples.

    But you seem to be overlooking that PL/SQL is supposed to be used for: PL means "procedural language.

    So, PL/SQL must be used to 'procedure' treatment; This is typically several process steps. For example, when you want to run three applications as a "TRANSACTION". If all three completed successfully you COMMIT and if any of the three you don't ROLLBACK.

    You can do this by using SQL only. And a developer doesn't have to write the code until they have a technical requirements doc that explains what problem the code is supposed to solve and the constraints and requirements that the code must implement.

    So, my suggestion is the following:

    1. identify and teach the types of issues that PL/SQL is used to help solve. Multi-step transactions, I mentioned above is an example

    2. use the documentation and the code of your own organization in the form of samples. These 'guy' is perhaps too busy, but they should be able to provide to you all the documents for the code they wrote and that you use which would be good to use as examples. If they have no documents technical requirements so you just identify a MAJOR gap in the operations of your org that you must bring to the attention of management.

    3. you can provide value added a lot more if you use code from your own org as a basis for what you are doing. A very useful training exercise is to ask students to perform 'code review' of a code (a procedure or function) and write simple comments, one line that explain, in plain English, what makes each piece of code.

    4 comments, students create to step #3 can actually be incorporated into your code then existing so that future developers can use these comments to understand what the code actually does.

    5 part of your 'education' should be on the way to 'test' correctly a piece of code PL/SQL to make sure it is doing what it is supposed to do. Again, if your students actually your own org code allows to create tests, these tests can then be added as a result of 'test' for this application and that adds value. A lot of times those developers 'busy' will not create the actual test cases and that your students can help remedy that. In addition, it does no good to know how to write PL/SQL code if you don't know how to test properly.

  • Cannot start the database instance - cannot open the spfile

    Here's what I did, that lead to a problem starting my database instance. It is a database that I just load data, and I do not have a backup yet :-(

    I created a structure for a new database and data loaded from a different database, which has been a very long process of becasus of the amount of data.

    Today, I decided to create a model of this database by using the Configuration Wizard.

    Before you begin the management of models, I decided to remove an old database that was never created correctly. I used the Setup Wizard to remove this database and got an error that SPFILEROVM. There is no such thing as ORA. But the removal has completed, and I worry too much.

    Then, I started to create my GoodDatabase model. I stopped with the message again that the SPFILEROVM. ORA (from the old database) did not exist. But it is already stopped my GoodDatabase and I can't restart. I use OEM Database Control for restart, but I get the complaint about the SPFILEROVM once again. ORA of the old database. How can I solve this problem? The error of OEM is attached below. The database is under Windows Server 2003. I can connect in OEM to another database instance (orcle) but I do not have the OEM rack.

    Thanks in advance.

    Please advice me how to remove this error.

    You might want to try this

    SQL > alter database backup controlfile to trace;

    Database altered.

    Then I check the udump directory. There are a few trace files to find the one that contains the control file, I simply do a text search:

    I have run the commands that is included with CREATE CONTROLFILE REUSE DATABASE

    SQL > startup nomount
    ORACLE instance started.

    Then recover db.

    SQL > RECOVER DATABASE USING BACKUP CONTROLFILE
