From Lightroom 6 Lightroom 5

Hello

I am now in possession of a license for 5 Lightroom, I would switch to Lightroom 6 but not CC. It's just because I want to be able to read the raw files from my new camera Fuji XT10, not that I really need to have the latest program. Thus, on the Adobe Web site, I always can buy 6 of Lightroom, but I just want to upgrade, only not to repay the whole of the program. Can someone tell me how I can switch to Lightroom 6?

Thank you very much!

One of the key steps is that you must indicate which version you are upgrading. It's not until you put in the information that the price will change.

  • Color profile question from lightroom to PSE 12.

After changing for Windows 10 I find that the color profile is deleted when opening a file from Lightroom 6 to 12 of PSE.  I also get an error message when you try to load a 12 for 8.5 RAW update.  The error reads U44M1I210.  If anyone can help with the problem.

Ok. What is the setting in Lightroom under preferences > external editing > color space? Here you have the choice between sRGB, Adobe RGB and ProPhoto. The default is ProPhoto, and unless you have changed, it is how it opens in the external editor (in your case, PES).

If you view while in an another viewer of photos without color management, color will be away (dark and desaturated).

Now, there may be color settings of the specific items that can strip or convert this profile, so I would still recommend that go. All I can do here is to take the floor for Lightroom and Photoshop.

  • Import directly from Lightroom still not possible...

    Hello Adobe,

why it is unable to import photos directly from Lightroom?

It is no good workflow open Lightroom, export photos to a new folder and import them manually into Muse-. -.

I suggest that this post really belongs in the forum lightroom under "request a service"?

But I'll try to answer anyway.

Lightroom is a program intended for professionals (who are not the original to be changed when editing image) that is why all the export options are defined as a 2-step... The idea is to make | Export your changes without touching the main image.

    Why it does not = because Adobe has not got around manufacturing it syncs to the library of cc or update web code built-in to make slideshows (the reason for which our company dropped) fixed the just basic UI work on modern windows machines then your options are;

    • Put up with it until Adobe bypasses to fixing the program or
    • Use photoshop instead... My recommendation.
  • Keep the dng or CR2 files when switching from Lightroom and Photoshop.

From Lightroom and Photoshop, how can I keep the dng or CR2 files. Now it changes the psd and when I return to Lightroom it removes options in the section of Calibration of the camera, so that while I have a choice (Adobe Standard/camera faithful), after returning from Photoshop file I have "Embedded." How can I keep the dng or CR2 files

Adding to the good advice of Alfred - a raw file cannot be registered as the other files.

Its only use is the basis for the creation of new files, which must be regular files, such as tiff, psd or jpg.

When you edit a raw file in Lightroom, it does not change the file, the changes are written to the catalog.

Optionally, save the changes in the form of metadata (xmp) sidecar files, or in the case of DNG in the file itself.

  • Images from Lightroom slow opening in Photoshop cc cc

I just upgraded to the stand-alone versions of 6 cc Lightroom & Photoshop 6 (hoped for an increase in speed and new features). When I want to edit an image in Photoshop from Lightroom, it opens very slowly or I try a couple of times before opening. Any advice on a solution would be appreciated. Thank you.

The standalone version and the CC version share the same program code. Regarding speed, you won't see any difference. However, the CC version adds new features that the stand-alone version does not.

  • Editing photos from Lightroom CC CC of items in layers

I have a question or forgot with pictures of stratification from lightroom to items CC.  I've done this before and have not had a problem.  The background layer is tiny on the layer and I can't fill the layer with the complete picture.  The other layers are enormous.  What I am doing wrong?

    A possible answer-

The dimensions in pixels are different for each image.

'Document' that Photoshop creates should take the size of the bigger picture. The small images will fill only part of the area of the background of the document new box appears therefore as image on a transparent layer.

You should not use "Transform" or similar to resize the layers.

  • When to go from Lightroom to Photoshop

    Hello

I searched the forum and not quite found the exact answer, but I confess, I'm new here so sorry if this is old news.

So, I'm working on my photos in lightroom (do the majority of the edition) and occasionally in Photoshop (fluidity and more nuanced and powerful healing and fading of shit).

My question is: when if the best time to go from Lightroom to Photoshop?  First option: before making changes to lightroom, go into photoshop and make the changes, then apply changes to lightroom to the new tiff file?  Option two: when any changes in Lightroom are fully completed, then send to Photoshop and edit (realizing that once I go to Photoshop, I'm no longer by changing the RAW file, but now to edit the Photoshop tiff file) Option three: anytime?

Are there other options I think not?

    Thank you

    Jerm

I think you do as much editing in Lightroom as possible, and only then you go to Photoshop for editing you need which is not possible in Lightroom.

Of course, you could go to Photoshop when you want to, but there is little benefit unless you have done as much as you can in Lightroom and still have editing capability that has only Photoshop.

  • How to get my files from lightroom on a single computer to lightroom on another.

This might be a really easy question, but I'm really illiterate when it comes to computers.  I was using a PC and just bought a Mac.  How do I get all my images from lightroom on the old computer to my new computer?  Any info or advice would be greatly appreceiated.

    Thank you

  • Problem when I open an image from lightroom to PS CC

Hello! For some time, I have a lot of noise on my image in PS when I open it from lightroom. I think it is started after an update, but I'm not sure. It is very annoying because I never know if my picture is good or not. In lightroom, all is well. Someone knows what to do? I really need my PS, but I can't use it and I paid for it.  Thank you

    Marie-Josée

Assess the noise and sharpening must be made to the 1:1 / 100% view - any other point of view will be inaccurate and misleading.

Therefore, compare reviews of 1:1 in Lightroom with 100% view in Photoshop,

If the image is still louder in Photoshop, go to Preferences > performance and try to set the Cache level to 4.

  • Printing from Lightroom 6 blanks

I can prepare an image to print, but when I press print, and the Panel of the printer busy at work seems to show what works on the printer, the tile is a white rectangle with letters at the bottom, that seem "rnr".

    I use a Canon IP7250 printer.

The printer ejects one sheet of blank paper and that's it.

If I export the edited from Lightroom image and open it in preview (I'm on a Mac) and print it, all right. Even the miniature work list is here. I have no impression of any another application problem.

This suggests that it is a problem in Lightroom.

I reinstalled LR, deleted the plist and pulled my hair, does not.

I'll be the only person in the world to what is happening?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Yes. Completely uninstalled the program and reinstalled and updated again. Everything is good.

  • I just bought a version of lightroom upgrade 6 (mac, upgrade from lightroom 4) and began the process of installation, but when I entered the serial number of the previous version, I got the message "the serial number you entered is not valid. Please try

I just bought a version of lightroom upgrade 6 (mac, upgrade from lightroom 4) and began the process of installation, but when I entered the serial number of the previous version, I got the message "the serial number you entered is not valid. Please try again. If the problem persists, contact customer service. The number I entered is correct - I checked against the original package and on the products of my adobe account page, and I get the error message even if I try to enter the serial number of the version of lightroom 3 I had before. I am at a loss to understand what I can do: I paid for this product, but I can't install it. The only thing I can think is that the lightroom 4A was purchased from an old computer, but it has migrated successfully to my current imac, as surely, it should work.

Problem is resolved now - it's due to my misunderstanding of what was required, and enter the serial number of the previous version (as an upgrade) instead of the serial number of the version I had to buy). My apologies for my mistake and thank you for your time.
