You say you can't left-click or drag a rectangle around the red eye?
(This may indicate that your video driver should be updated)

What happens when you try?

Might be interesting to try to download and install Windows Live Photo Gallery.

I look forward to continue to transfer my photos from this computer to my old machine to my editing.

You might not be able to use these features, because you haven't gotten to complete editing the page again,

Click on the photo you want to edit in any way,

    And press the Enter key,

This will open the photo selected in the edition full edit where the toolbar is available, also listed is close file on the right end of it, by clicking on file close will take you back where you started.

Crop a photo is the only edition that you have to click twice

Time to start the process and once after finishing harvest so it will save the changes.

All other changes are to be saved after you click Close file, red eyes may also have one separate record other than close file.

The photo is relatively dark, but he has pretty bad red eyes. Its pretty pixelated, but want to try to pull together. Not sure the best way to do this would be. I used to use photoshop a bit, but have somewhat forgotten most of my knowledge

For something that low res and underexposed would go in with a brush and paint on the highlights.  Use a low flow and keep zoom out to check.  You do not want it completely opaque.

When you drag the selection box... try doing a

bit easier if you zoom in closely on the eye.

Hi, I've seen other posts on this problem here, but have yet to see someone follow up and report on a solution that worked.  So I ask you once again.  When I try to open Windows Photo Gallery, it opens briefly, then stops.  The only thing I did recently was reinstall Office 2007 and Outlook 2003 installation.  Here is the error information I receive:

    Hi John,.

Thanks for the quick response!  After that, I tried the reallocation of photo gallery Windows Live as the default application for photo files.  So when I saw your response, I followed it for Windows Live.  I don't understand what you mean by "you'll have to recataloguer."  I changed the name of the file, and then open the photo gallery, according to the instructions.  But shortly after a stop too it (a few minutes with 'Live,' immediate versus with regular photo gallery).

What I started to do, is try to copy old photos from a CD on this relatively new computer.  They would not copy.  Then I tried to select 'Import pictures' rather than 'open folder '.  That's when I noticed the problem with the photo gallery Windows stops immediately.  It seems to be the same problem another user has pointed out - Data Execution Prevention stops the program.  But I can not turn off DEP for library - it will not allow him.  I tried an update, or a DEP-compatible version, but found none.

Here's a maybe stupid question: can I just move to another photo application?  Aren't my files always in there somewhere, accessible by another application?  Or am I totally off base regarding how it works?

    Thanks for the ideas!
    Veronica

New catalogue means when you rename or delete the .pd4 file... your Photo
Gallery will return to the way it was the first time that you opened. The
    Photo Gallery will fill again.

It may be interesting to try to uninstall Windows Live Photo Gallery (you can not
uninstall Windows Photo Gallery). And if it is a recent issue... it can be
worth a try to restore the system to an hour before it began.

Yes you can use another software... IrfanView, Picasa and FastStone Image
Spectator got three which may be worth a try (all free).

Your photos are probably in your pictures folder.

    Good luck.

  • Windows Live Photo Gallery - how to increase the limit of tag 1010 people on the search function

The search function in Windows Live Photo Gallery people tags seems to be an arbitrary limit of 1010 different tags (1000 in the alphabetical list + the 'Top 10'). Is there a way to get around this?

When I used the Vista Photo Gallery and my tags 'people' were just a subset of 'descriptive' tags that I created, I could find just a name on the left panel. Not sure why it isn't a section he tags in the version of Windows Live people. If you put arbitrary limitations on the functionality of Visual search 'whizz bang', it would be nice if there was a relief when it does not work.
Is return to the starting point - maybe somewhere where the limit is stored in the registry and it can be increased or an another workaround?

  • What are the causes of automatic red-eye fix to 8 items do not work?

Difficulty of problems I have experience using the red eye:

With a single topic, sometimes the red-eye correction will set only one eye.

When there are 2 subjects, red-eye correction will work correctly on a subject, but not on the other.

In each case, I repeated the process and I am unable to get the desired results.

I used the auto red eye fix in all locations, that it is, as in the Enhanced and when I press F11 and it's just the quick fix feature.

I can't wait to hear a simple solution.

Unfortunately, the removal of red-eye PSE is not all that reliable.   I never invoke the automatic deletion, because in the past, he had a reputation for giving bad results, fix "red eyes" who were not.  Instead, I do two things in the full Editor:

    1. I use the red-eye tool to select a small box around each eye to be fixed.  Sometimes drawing a little more or a little more small rectangles made work a little better:

    http://help.Adobe.com/en_US/PhotoshopElements/8.0/win/using/WSae2ea3b149d0c3591ae939f10386 0b3d59 - 7edb_WIN.html

    2. If this does not work, I use the elliptical selection tool to select an oval around the red part of the eye and then use Enhance > adjust color > Hue/Saturation setting > red, greatly reducing the Saturation and lightness, as needed.  There are other more advanced recipes, but I find this one is simple and gives satisfactory results.

Because you must call the complete Editor, none of them are also fast based on removing auto red-eye.

I used the reduction of red eyes and got the grey shadow son my face in the photo, how to remove?

I assume you are using Windows Live Photo Gallery
for editing? Back to the original version of the photo...
Left click in the option "Cancel" until the unwanted
Edit is deleted or until the gray option out.

When you use the "Fix red eye"... enlarge the eye by
Zoom with. Carefully drag the box so it only
borders the red eye area. Releasing the
mouse button activates the change. In some cases, you
may need to use the tool 'fix red eye"more than once.

If you make a box larger than the red area of the eye
and if there are shades of red in the region of the face... they can
be obscured. The tool detects red in the selection box
but has no way of knowing if it's in the eyes or elsewhere.

  • I can't change red eyes!

I just load some of our pictures of Christmas in the Media Gallery window and its not not let me save edited photos.  I can rotate and put, but I can't remove red-eye or crop.  It throws a message saying "an error prevents photo library to save this image" advice? Please, I beg you!

My Photo Gallery will fix red eye and make a copy of this file. I don't really see an explicit 'save' in the gallery. You do this? If so and it is the fault, you may be able to fix Photio Gallery with SFC

    The System File Checker tool

    3. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click continue

    Hello

I guess you should know about color correction and hue/saturation, because the tools of red-eye is not enough to remove the stain and bring originality in the capture.

    Steps to correct this.

First of all choose the feather of the spot and change the color of the closest match.

Play now with hue/saturation. If necessary add reflections mannualy.

Make sure that you are working on a different layer not on the original layer.

NOTE:-you can start with the removal.tool red eye as a first step.

Hope your problem is resolved. try it
