Satellite L450D-119 recovery is stuck in a loop of reboot running TUPIT

It's the kind of a question answered itself to halfway!

I had to reinstall Windows 7 Home Premium 32 - bit "Product recovery" DVD from Toshiba. He went through a complex process involving many Windows CMD copy stuff on a HD recovery partition (I think). Then, he went through the installation of Windows 7 from scratch. Then it restarts Windows 7, but whenever it starts, it opens a full screen splash screen saying "the installation may take several minutes. Please do not interrupt or shut down the computer. This continues for about 5 minutes or more (sometimes much more), then it restarts and does all this many times.

I let her do this about 10 times and got bored. It may be interruped with CTRL-ALT-DELETE, but if I try to start the task from the Task Manager window manager is immediately covered by the start screen. I can also break the command prompt that starts everything, but then the PC restarts after a short while. I had to stop once and he seemed to be in a State of some drivers, but the progress bar was not progressing.

When it starts every time, the splash screen graphic Windows, it displays "Preparing for first use Windows" or something similar and it goes through the same process.

Is this normal?

An update, I pass by another loop 10 min + while I was typing this and it ends up wearing a screen asking me in user name, password and the input locale. My heart is squeezed then I saw "Preparing Windows for first use" and then "preparing your desktop... '. ", but fortunately he got at the installation of McAfee.

It has now completely installed, but it would have been nice for the booklet to tell what he do and give us some advance warning that this will take hours...

Yes this is normal. Laptop restarts again and again and the installation of any recovery may take about two hours.
I put t understand how you can say he's bored. It is the installation process which should not interrupt. If you do this, you can start from the beginning. Please contact don t nothing until the installation of recovery is not over.

You are right. This statement about a few minutes is a good joke. On my laptop, it takes more than two hours for a complete installation.

In the end, I must say that this recovery facility is very uncomfortable.
What do you think?

  • Satellite C660 - 115 Win7 update stuck in the loop. SOLVED!

I have a Satellite C660-115 which is stuck in a loop "of despair".
I am a COMPUTER engineer support and a customer brought this laptop of mine, who was stuck in a loop of repair Win7 (64-bit prem) that simply says Win7 could not be repaired.

I backed up the profiles of subscribers using Hiren boot CD (done chkdsk as well - everything is OK), and then did a factory restore.
No problem at all with the restoration.

Started doing the updates for Win7; SP1 seems to install OK without errors.
The system then picked up 37 Win7 updates automatically and asked to reset.
Upon reboot, Win7 entered "drvload.exe" and started an auto repair.
It took time and the system started OK, but without any sign of SP1, looks so much like system restore to an earlier point?

I though this update to process 3 times now and each time after that a lot of auto update, the same sequence occurs.

How to exit this loop? What is causing this problem, which I have never seen before?

No software has been installed, other than that of the recovery process.
I even uninstalled McAfee, just in case this could be a problem - no change.

Ah, just took another look. It is stated in Win7 system registers that the restoration was caused by a corrupted file C:\ci.dll. Google to find it was a sign by a rootkit virus in the HARD Master Boot Record disk (the file ci.dll itself is NOT damaged). Found a fix tool

    http://support.Kaspersky.com/viruses/solutions?QID=208280684

It identified the rootkit and removed.
    Seems to be OK now!

Hope this post could help others.
Of course, the factory restore does not erase the HDD MBR rootkit...

  • Satellite L450D-119 - keyboard just stop typing

    Hello

    We have a L450D-119 operating under Windows 7 64-bit.

Occasionally, the keyboard simply stops typing. There is no explanation and no repeatable case. It doesn't seem to be after any repetitive activity such as suspend or Hibernate, it just seems to happen. A reboot fixes the problem.

It is worth noting that when the keyboard stopped accepting characters the mousepad and keys still work.

It's my second L450D-119, the first was returned with 24 hours for the same reason.

It seems that it always has to a certain extent, and the user, not me, I might add, he has simply seen as a gene and restart - what is clearly unacceptable.

My choices are to repair or take it back. So by posting on this forum I hope to find a solution, but if nothing came on I shall be forced to take it back and this time it's for a refund and no Exchange.

Thank you for your help and suggestions

  • Stuck in a loop of reboot computer after vista SP2 installed

I installed the vista SP2 update earlier today, I was invited to reboot for updates could continue. When the computer starts up after windows loading screen (before the login screen appears), it says updated 1 filled with 3 but then there was an error in the installation and say he was restoring the previous settings and wait. less than a second to load the login screen steady after the previous settings have been restored, stop starting the computer. When loading to the top, it says 'error in the installation of update, restore the previous settings', then as soon as he finished and goes to the login screen it a new past in stopping and restarting. This continues constantly. If someone had a similar problem or have any ideas? When I tried to load the previous settings of windows recovery, he says there is no image to use.

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    See you soon.

If the above does not work, try to make a Bootable ERD to do a Startup Repair:

As is the case with most computers/laptops these days, they do not come with good Vista disc to repair only the recovery disks.

As your grave in the category above, download the ISO on the provided link and do a repair of the disc.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.

Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

    ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html

It's a very good Vista repair disc.

You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

There is not a disk of resettlement.

And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

    See you soon.

  • I am stuck in a loop of reboot installing Firefox 4.0 on my Windows XP computer.

I tried to upgrade to Firefox 4.0 on my work computer, which runs Windows XP. I restarted the computer, so the upgrade complete, but when I tried to open Firefox, I got a message telling me that I have to restart my computer to complete the upgrade. This happened several times.

Finally I tried to uninstall Firefox and start from scratch, but I guess that I can't uninstall everything because I got the same message to reboot.

    Do a clean install (re)-:

    • Uninstall your current version of Firefox and remove the Firefox program folder before installing this copy of the Firefox installer.
    • Do not erase personal data if you uninstall the current version.
    • It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.

Your bookmarks and other profile data is stored elsewhere (not in the Firefox program folder) and will not be affected by a relocation, but make sure that you do not select delete data of a personal nature if you uninstall Firefox.

  • Office XP stuck in a loop of reboot in safe AND regular mode

Randomly, one day, after that no new downloads or activities, when I started my computer it has crossed the first steps then says something don't like "Windows has encountered an error.  "Restart in the last mode which worked: normally, or in the safe, safe with order," or something to that effect, counted from 30 and began in the mode selected, then obtained for XP just loading screen after her fate of BACK, then restarted the process.  I tried to boot with all the options of the four mode and got the same result, then put on the CD I got with the computer to reload everything.  That had me reformat and I made after using the backup option that he and reboot from the CD instead of the hard drive.  But now, even if the CD is no longer in it, whenever it boots up it goes to the screen from the CD asks me to reformat.  I try very hard to not lose my data, so, even if this requires the backup of my external hard drive, I'll be fine with it as long as I don't lose all.

    eelyak321,
Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.  So have you been able to back up your hard drive?  If Yes, then the restore function of the CD that came with your computer system should restore your system to back as if you were just there.  If your CD is System Restore did not complete the installation, then you will need to check with the manufacturer of PC.  It may be that a disk is bad, or you may need to try a different restore option.

  • Satellite A660 - 11 M stuck in a loop when installing recovery

    Hi all.

I am now under a procedure of recovery for A660 - 11M. I used a bought at Toshiba Recovery CD.
Everything was going well until the recovery is stuck in the loop of ' * now System Performance Rating *'.

I found a similar case, where a person has solved problem of forced reboot. I did, too, but when he turned, the loop began.

I wonder if there is anyway to stop this notation. It does not seem very important ultimately.

    Thank you.

  • Satellite L450D-11V - update recovery partition

On my Satellite L450D-11V with Windows 7 Premium 64-bit, Tempro today said there is an important update that replaces the recovery partition with a new, to overcome the problem of error message on portable computers with more than 4 GB of RAM. Although I have only 3GB, it says that the update is for everyone because it can go to more than 4 GB in the future.

It is all very well, so I downloaded and tried to run the .exe unpacked, but at half way through the installation, he stops and tells me that the update is only for 64 bit versions of Windows 7... which is mine. I got it for five days, it came with Windows 7 Prem 64 bit and I certainly did not use 32-bit downgrade DVD and it says clearly "64 - bit operating system" in my computer.

    Hello

Update do you mean exactly? Can you post information please as filename, etc.. ?

Normally there is no recovery partition. There is only one file called HDDrecovery on the second partition where you can reinstall Windows from this folder. On Vista and Windows 7, there is a hidden partition but it s the Windows recovery environment and has nothing to do with Toshiba.

Moreover, I don t use TEMPRO because install updates manually if it of necessary.

  • Satellite P100-119 - software after the installation of recovery

I use a Toshiba Satellite P100-119 since 2006. I want to run the original liveries Product Recovery CD after you back up all my data, so that with a vacuum system, the laptop gets even faster.

But as there were pre-installed software (office, Toshiba programms) when I bought it, I don't know if they went after the recovery. I do not have CD for these programs, they were just pre-installed and what my Windows xp, should recover fully with the cd?

    Hey Buddy,

After the installation of recovery, you have the same settings that bought the laptop. With other words recovery disk will restore the box settings.

Firstly the recovery disk will wipe the entire HARD drive and remove all. After this Windows will be installed all the drivers and tools. In addition, will be also installed software preinstalled such as office, etc. and you can use it again. :)

Backup all important data like the photo, music, etc. but everything will be removed for a clean install of Windows.

  • Satellite L450D does not start

My satellite L450D won't start. He stopped and when I walk back, he back the start menu, if I select the repair, it's just a black screen. If I choose start as usual, it goes to the windows logo but it remains stuck. I also tried to start in safe mode, but it says loading files and stays stuck.

I tried pressing 0 on start up and it does not work and I also tried the recovery disk and it does not work.
    Any ideas would be appreciated
    Thank you

    > I tried pressing 0 on start up and it does not work and I also tried the recovery disk and it does not work.
If you have a laptop model European 0 initially upwards will help any. You must use F8 at startup to display the advanced startup options. Is the option repair my computer available?

Anyway, OS is probably screwed and new installation OS can help. Enter the BIOS and set it to default settings. According to redo this cell phone start and press F12 to get into the boot menu. When the boot menu appears on the screen, place the recovery in the optical disc drive disk, choose the CD/DVD device from the menu and press ENTER. This will force ODD to start the reading recovery disk.

Let us know if it works for you.

  • Satellite L450D - reset in the factory installation

Hi guys, tried a factory reset and the laptop turned off itself to half way through, and I can't return it to all the. The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite L450D-11w and it was under windows 7. When I try to load it up I get the message bootmgr lack press ctrl alt del to restart.

Tried to get into the bios and start but do not have much options just hd and cd drive not working. I also turned off and tried holding zero to load once warned a friend told me should appear, without success. When I go to boot the drive configuration only options I have are toshiba mk3263gsx-(s2) or tsstcorp cdvdw ts-l633c-(s4). I have no idea what to do from here after trying a few options, would be really grateful for the help.

    Thank you
    Damien

    Hello, Damien

It's that the recovery image installation can not be interrupted. If this happens there is big problem because it cannot be continued and also you are not able to start from the beginning.
HARD drive recovery facility is ruined with other words.

Now, all you can do is to install the recovery image using the installation of recovery disc.
I m afraid you didn't create one, right?

  • Satellite L450D - 13 X - black screen of death/Blue Screen of Death

    Hello everyone.

I have a Toshiba Satellite L450D - 13 X for children, and for the price it's a good laptop. Have had no problems with it until two weeks ago, when the screen froze for boys while playing a game and downloading a program on the net. Had to make a stop of force and since then, we have a BSoD on each startup. That's what we tried:

On "Starting Windows", we are given the option to either 'Launch Startup Repair' that ends as BSoD or "Start Windows normally" who returns to the list of option "starting Windows."
Any attempt enter 'Safe Mode' BSOD results.
Attempt to boot an ISO of the disk recovery Windows on a USB key (we did put highlight and make promotion up) results in BSoD. Borrowing a correct installation of Windows 7 DVD and highlighting what an option cause BSoD.

In fact, the only option that we used who threw something different has been using advanced startup options. On one of these options, we've got the Blue Screen of Death with the following information:

    Unmountable_Boot_Volume
Disable memory the Bios Options such as cache/occultation

    Technical info

    Stop: 0x000000ED (0xFFFFFA80023C2CDO 0xFFFFFFFFC0000185 0000000000000000 0 x 0 x 0000000000000000)

I don't mind erase the hard drive and leave, there's nothing on what is essential. Very, very well, I'd appreciate a steer on it. Checked the Web for things and nothing seems to help for other options. I'm not particularly tech literate but can follow directions.

    Thanks in advance.

It is really possible that the HARD drive is faulty.
If possible try to get another same HDD used for test purposes and install OS using the Toshiba recovery image.

A friend of mine had a similar problem and after Exchange of HARD drive, everything went well again.

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite L450D-128 and it won't let me connect to a wireless network and I can't find the switch wireless and ive tried FN + F8, but it does not work. Could you please help.

    Thank you Ryan

    Hello Ryan

I don't know what version of Win7 do you use and what can be the problem of using WLAN but if you use original recovery image, everything should work properly.

At first check please if the wireless network card is installed correctly. You can check in the Device Manager.
If the wireless network adapter is installed correctly, it must be enabled. Usually, this can be done by using the FN + F8 key combination.
    >.. .and ive tried FN + F8, but it does not work
What does not work exactly? You have problem with the FN keys in general or just using FN + F8?

When you press the FN key you find cards flash at the top of the screen?
