Fusion 8: start time of 10-20 minutes, they will all right to a failure of windows 7 (xp crashes quickly after VM starts too)

I just spent about 30-40 hours wth your telephone support team trying to get rid of this problem.

They were extremely conscientious, but after a month or two to help, had to interrupt to return my calls and close the service request when it appeared that I don't have unlimited time to get a non-working system work if they had no idea of what was the problem - I think they have finally given up on me after on the 83rd time they checked the memory use , turning off hardware acceleration, etc and generally ran out of ideas.  I tried to ask if it is really true that 8 does not work with windows and that I must get 6.02 and they refused him.


Does anyone know if there is a solution to the problem please?


I tried upgrading the virtual machine 7 to 10,--laboriously half a dozen times.   But windows does not seem to be able to perform the normal upgrade (three of a kind, USB backup or .iso) an operating system in a virtual machine.

I saw your post yesterday. To be honest, there was not much information about the problem. Most of the people in this forum is ordinary VMware users like you, so that we cannot read or see the request for assistance you listed. That is why I think even you answer, and I guess that's the reason for which everyone left alone, too.

VMware Fusion 8 is not free of errors, but I'm running multiple instances of Windows 7, Windows XP and Windows 2008 R2 Server with no start-up or significant performance problems. I have never seen anything that it is close to what you describe, and I suspect that there are many other users of VMware Fusion, which is reasonably satisfied with their machines virtual Windows 7 as well.

Devoid of any useful information, other than your description of how long have you worked with VMware support without success, here are my thoughts and my questions:

  • Is a virtual machine for Windows 7 existing which worked and then failed after an update or upgrade of a certain type?

    • Update/upgrade to VMware Fusion?
    • Windows Update?
  • You can try a new installation of Windows to see if it fails in the same way?
    • (You can download a copy of the file .iso Windows install Microsoft.) You can run it briefly without activation, just to see if it works.)
  • The problem could have a certain type of damaged files or any other problem with Mac OS?
    • You can copy your virtual machine to another Mac running VMware Fusion to see if she has the same symptoms?

      • That would help you determine if the problem is your Mac or the virtual machine itself?

Maybe you have already done a lot of the above, but I don't know. It might help to provide a more detailed description, including what you tried. Nothing but the facts. We already get it that you are not happy with the VMware Fusion product and related support.

  • A few minutes after starting windows, the laptop crashes

    I use a Toshiba laptop model: ppm81e, with windows Vista professional.
    Last night it was working fine, but when I woke up this morning, I found that the notebook is turned off. Apparently, for three hours, there was no electricity in our region and which caused the closing down.

    If you are able to solve the problem of recovery process and the laptop still crashes at startup, then it is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

    uninstalling QuickTime is worth a try.

  • Slow charge of Windows 8 Apps and restarts after a few minutes

    I would ask on the loading times on some applications of windows 8. I just bought a new Sony laptop with windows 8, I was waiting for it about a year ago.  Some applications, like mail, Skype, store, skydrive, takes a long time to load, sometimes it shows just 'points of return' or the 'great application icon"in the middle of the screen.  A few times, it took 1 minute to start.  Is this in relation to internet bandwidth?  No matter if it is just started windows or aired for some time, it's always like that.
    Another thing is that these same apps, almost every 5 to 15 minutes to restart.  A few times he just get "refreshed", sometimes it take a minute to load again.

    My computer crashes immediately after start upward. Sometimes I have the chance to actually click on something, but usually it will freeze just upward before I can do anything whatsoever. I'm running it in SafeMode right now and it works completely fine. Any ideas on what I can do?

    I have a new Dell computer with windows 7 Home Edition. I have recurring with programs or internet problems does not not after starting upwards. After a time, I use Ctrl/Alt/Del, but the problem persists for a long time before he answers. Sometimes, I have to manually shut down the computer.     A friend in the it Department at work suggested by disabling the anti-virus at startup and see what would happen.
    I turned the computer and turn off a dozen times today and each time that my programs run perfect.
    I really like this software but if its causing programs become unresponsive at startup, this is not acceptable.  I'm going to contact the antivirus Co. to see if they will help or have a solution. I.T. said it could be something very simple for them to fix.

    Original title: computer \sysytems32|hal.dll shows this when starting. Old dimension 2350.

    I tried to install McAfee Total Protection on an old Dimension 2350 and after that computer system has been slow and useless. After the call of Mcafee, they told me my RAM was too small at 640 MB and said if necessary to upgrade to 1 GB. I called Dell and they wanted to know that the RAM so had to remove it. After removal and reinstallation of the computer, but I got the error above.

    I have the reinstallation windows xp cd drive professional service pack 3, but can not get beryond this message options
