• Help! My 8 GB fuze has locked up on me.

  As the title says, my rocket is on and locked.  It surpassed the first splash screen and stopped on the Sansa logo screen and is now stuck there.  I can't do anything.  It won't turn off or go to any other screen.  What should I do?  Any help is appreciated.  Thank you.

  The "rocket" lights up normally without the card inserted?

  And you are sure that the card is at bottom, clicked in?

  Can you see if something else will read the card - a cell phone, a camera, your computer through a drive?

  When I had this problem with my rocket I ended up re-formatting of the "rocket", which you say you did.

  You could also put at level or downgrade of firmware by following the instructions in the manual in the Firmware update note: just get the file (if possible x.x.26), unzip and place the fuzea.bin file in the directory root (the Sansa drive letter). He will say that it is the firmware update when you disconnect.

  And Yes, it could be the card. And it could be the card slot - which is what I thought that my problem is that when I formatted.

  Well, that was the question. I have now re-RIP all my files using Media Coder. The files were initially torn off using FreeRIP 3. All the files pulled from this program has been absolutely perfect on my computer.

   

  Fuze is apparently very, very selective on what program encodes him FLAC. Very annoying.

   

  For the record, I have re-torn my compression level 8 pieces, and they all play fine. Compression level so isn't the issue.

  I have major issues FLAC playing on my new Fuze (v1). Please see below.

  I read one of the FAQ, and here are the answers to questions that someone says people may need:

  In order: Sync had my music to the "rocket" using SyncEXP. Tried to play a FLAC with firmware v1.02.26. Resounding failure. The installer downloaded automatic firmware and updated to the latest firmware. New automatic detection of MSC USB settings. The installer of recycled auto firmware. Had to reset the USB Service Meteorological parameter of the Canada. Downloaded the firmware and copied in the root directory manually. Formatting system. Manually placed music in MUSIC folder. Manually updated firmware to level again. Power to bike system after each update of the firmware.

  7. What do you get?

  Read files FLAC ripped CD 16-bit, 2 channels, 44.1 kHz, ~ 500-1000 Kbps (most ~ 800 - 900 Kbps). All files have been verified to be fully functional on my computer. All play perfectly on my computer (using foobar). All files were torn at the level of quality FLAC 8 (maximum).

  Hmmm. If this isn't the tags, or mp3tag cannot correct them, it might be the encoder, which could in fact mean the re-Ripper PITA.

  I like free software for his idealism, but there sometimes whims.   Your rocket + has updated the firmware already installed. The locking procedure has changed with the 1st update after that player is out of the power button. Press it for about 1/2 second to lock. Ditto to unlock.

  Unfortunately this info apparently not implemented in the user manual or Quick Start Guide.

• Locked - can't access the "rocket"

  I have a new Sansa Fuze and it's messed up.  I can turn it on and off and accessing some program (podcast) is first up, finally one that I was actually listening to, but does not have the up/down button.  I can move files on the left and right, however.  He's stuck.  I tried to power off and hold this button down for 30 seconds.  Nothing happened.  When I plug it into my computer (Windows XP), my computer makes this noise indicating it 'sees', but when I check, it does not record as a drive in my computer.  When it is plugged in, the battery charges and it reads 'connection '.

• Locks of rocket on some .mp3 files

  I recently bought a 4g Fuze, Woot, the firmware V2.  I went to .msc mode and dropped about 3 g .mp3 on it.  Let it run, I found with a black screen and locked up requiring now pressed the power button to reset.  He plays in the car, I found a particular song that would lock the reader - a reset back to a particular song about 4 or tasks support the playlist, and then when he struck the song problem the player would block again.  I got home and found another song that does the same thing.

  When I got home, I formatted the drive and upgraded to the latest firmware.  I then expeimented with one of the songs of problem and found that if I chose this song to play, the screen would lock with the information of the song page to halfway across the screen.  If I chose to play with only this song is available, the player could restart rather than lock him up.   In both cases, I was unable to remove the offending song of the player without connecting to the computer.

  I hope that there is at least something that miss me about the removal of this file - it seems to me that a song must be playable to load it far enough away that delete is an option.   I really don't like if there's a few songs that will not play as long as the movements of the player to the next song with the drama minimal.  If I have to delete those songs I find, it's annoying but acceptable if I can remove the drive.

  Is there a way I can tell quite easily in advance what .mp3 causes this problem before putting them on the "rocket"?

  I studied the backup copy of the file with what I was experimenting.  The error in MP3 Diags was "setting number of incorrect argument between the Xing header and the audio stream.   MP3 Diags has an option to repair data VBR which fixes the problem and let the rocket the file set, and a way to batch, find and repair files with this problem.

• Fuze won't load

  I recently updated to iOS 10 and shortly after started to see Chinese characters on my lock screen, under the date and time. I checked the language and region settings and see only English and selected Philippines which is correct. Don't know what that other settings I need to change?
