Fuzzy edges?

How to make indistinct effect in Premiere Pro? As these videos, that everything is blurry except a "spotlight" in the middle of the frame. I have some BCC effects of blur, but I don't think they do.

Thank you, Kevin - but don't tell Bill Hunt! He thinks I'm crazy for the use of the circle effect so

  • Fuzzy box darkens the edges blur alpha in After Effects

    Hello

As part of a filter more complex, I created a box simple fuzzy graphic Pixel Bender which simply blurs the pixels of a whole amount. It is divided into horizontal and vertical then treatment for speed (essentially it is substantially the same as the blurry box part of the example given in the Pixel Bender Developer's Guide).

I use to blur an image with an alpha channel.

The Toolbox it works absolutely fine, however when I use it in After Effects CS5 the fuzzy edges look dark, as if the filter is assuming that the fuzzy alpha background is black. In the Toolbox, if I set the preferences-> picture Window-> background color to white, it works as expected, but it's because the Toolbox knows the color is white and unpremults accordingly. I tried premultiplying the pixels of the alpha to see if it works, but it makes it just worse!

Any suggestions on how to fix this would be appreciated!

    Thank you, Christian

Yes, After Effects is multiplier pre with Alpha. That's usually what you want to do a convolution, but in your case the UN-prémultiplier would be correct.

  • I can blur a picture directly in FCPX edges?

I know that I can do in Photoshop and then load the photo in FCPX, but I was wondering if there is a way to do it directly in FCPX (in the sense that it can blur the edges of the dark background image)

The answer is definitely yes--but if or not it's better to do it in Photoshop depends a lot on your workflow.

You'll probably need to use two instances of the photo, on the other:

You can, for example, apply Gaussian blur of the picture from the bottom and apply it to a shape or draw the mask to the top, and control feathering

  • Blur of the edges of a "full" form

I do not know how... I have to add shapes with lower opacity on the occasio of help text jump; but would really like to treat maybe fuzzy edges, or something rather than a straight line. Any advise?

    Thank you!

To blur the edges on the form:

    (1) select the Rectangle tool. Create a square shaped leaving enough free space for the blur

    (2) go Select > feather and use a setting of 10 pixels or so click OK.

    (3) select reverse.

    (4) cut selection.

If you want the text of pop here are a few things to try.

    (1) use the inner and outer shadows

    (2) use a pillow Emboss

    (3) draw a fuzzy line (I did it by creating a layer for the race and it blurs with the vagueness of the text)

Edited: Sorry I misread this initially.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium ADF analysis convex/Fisheye results

Not only do I have to deal with random vertical lines on the digitization of documents in format pdf, I was out buying this AIO believing that I will be able to scan above 300 DPI using the ADF. Why is this NOT advertised? I also notice that the ADF scan results are tilted, so I have to manually turn the resulting page (and this always leads to fuzzy edges because of anti-aliasing). I read where the use of the 'PDF' indexable parameter will straighten the scans, but the text is rendered evil and statements blurred and faded. Other than that, the real printer/copier works great; the part of scan is terrible (and that was the only reason I bought this printer).

Now, my current complaint is when you scan a document with horizontal lines, these lines are not only not right, they are curved (like a fisheye effect or the lines are convex in shape). I tested several ways; I open the pdf file with Photoshop and after recovery of the document, I use the tool rule to mark both ends of the line. When I look at the center of the line, it is not in accordance with either of the end points. It's like the center of the page was pushed toward the inside of the lines causing a bit for not being straight.

Everyone has noticed this or know what I can do to fix this? It seems that this printer has many problems with scanning.

    Hello Shan-Dysigns,

It seems that you have many questions related scanning with your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium, they will have vertical lines, jump of twisted lines are curved, etc..

This document from HP: vertical stripes, lines or streaks in the Copies, faxes or Scans mainly covers the vertical lines and food issues.

To seek to solve looks curved to the scans, just appear like that during the ADF or flat glass in this way as well?

I would like to allows you to check the updates of the firmware of the printer: get the latest Firmware and updates, so please make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet: questions when it is connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power should help explain why.

If troubleshooting doesn't help not solve your problem, then I would say call the HP Technical Support to see all the other possibilities for you. If you call in North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 for all other regions, click here.

  • Quality of the animated gif image

    Hello

I am struggling to get the best quality of my animations when exporting them as gifs in Photoshop. They are all icons square 80 x 80 on a Web site.

I'm exporting to 160 x 160, but I get some fuzzy edges and some weird lines when the animation takes place.

-J' created the icons in Illustrator

-Built the animation in the request of 1080 x 1080 file

-Video imported as layers in photoshop

    -Export to the web.

If anyone has any advice on how to get the best quality, please let me know.

I saw some really clean animated gif icons there, then it must be possible.

    Thank you

    Mark

Of course, it is possible - with the right workflow. Simply yours is completely twisted. It is unnecessary to design an icon at ten times the resolution when you know i's going to rnd small and in a format with a limited color palette. It is realyy everything that it is. Your discount introduced the interpolation that unnecessarily consumes space in your GIF color table and introduced dithering artifacts. Therefore, the solution is as obvious as it is easy: design your work to the resolution you want to publish from the outset.

  • Restore partially faded colors

    Hi all

I'm trying to restore a photo color dating back to 1988. The color change is kind of 'typical' of photographs of the early eighties. The color disappeared not evenly, but in the two main points. About 40% of the surface, the coloring is very good, but on 60 percent, ago intense redness as you can see from the attached part of photography.

I use Photoshop CC to restore photography. I'm completely n00b to photohopping so I ask your opinion here.

I scanned the photo and created the RED channel with fuzzy edges mask, the mask looks like stains from color-faded on photography. I tried to adapt the coloration in the hidden area to match the image, but without success. I should probably hide the blue and green channel too and adjust all?

I would be grateful if someone could give some suggestions or point to a practical guide to the example. And please do not judge too big, I am beginner on photoshop.

    sample060685474.jpg

    What about what you want?

I used the color balance and a black and white gradient on the mask. I also used curves to adjust the values of R, G and B, as well as a few other adjustment layers. If that's what you want to do, I'll do a little video showing how I did it.

  • How can I disable smoothing when merging the flat layer (SNES) with a 3d object in Photoshop CC 2014?

After doing a painting on a weapon to fire CS: go, I now need a part of the paint to be pixel perfect, but I can't seem to find a way to stop the automatic smoothing every time I merge the SNES with a 3D object.

    Before merger

    ay9d76.jpg

    After merger

    1p9lya.jpg

I see that normal texture filtering. Looks like you have a fundamental misunderstanding here about the work how 3D - "pixel perfect" has no meaning for 3D from space UV textures is parametric and has in itself in the infinite theory resolution, therefore any texture may be inserted in this range and inevitably a single pixel in the texture can cover more than one pixel on the display or more than one mm square on a 3D object. If you want "sharp" textures, you increase the resolution of the texture, which, if you really want that pixely look would be doen using the nearest neighbor method. However, once you approach at some point you will see Fuzzy edges / pixel again. It is in the nature of the thing.

  • Illustrator CS4 smart objects?

    Hello
I'm creating a vector illustration of an ipad or similar. I want to be able to retain the scale vector and have the ability to change the image of the screen of the ipad to a different image. The layer of the screen image is currently using a mask to define the area of the screen and there are a couple of top containg light layers that overlay the screen image.

I tried to select the current image and 'place' a new image, but I just get a new layer with an image caught on top of the previous image.

Can someone suggest a simple method to add the new image to the screen. The final file will be provided to people with even more limited knowledge of illustrator than me.

I also tried to export the image in photoshop and then transform the image screen in a smart object layer. Then clicking on the smart object to open the layer, drag and drop the new image on the smart object open and then saving it. This method replaces the image, but when I tested the scalability of the last image in photoshop by changing the size of the image to 10% and then back to the original size image has fuzzy edges. Maybe because some live effects in illustrator (e.g. blur, inner glow) are not not vector in Photoshop?

Thanks for any help you can provide

  • CS4 Content Aware Fill and Lasso tool

I seen this interpreted by Moose Petersen to duplicate

and fill an area to enlarge an image. He has used the Lasso tool to frame (currently vacant) area he wanted to fill it with the exact content on the edge of the image.

I was unable to rebuild its process.

A person can offer aid step by step to achieve this? You want to fill the right side so that size 16 x 20.

    Thank you!

    DanHibiscus-Waimea.jpg

Here, I'll be a little more specific.  Do things in exactly in this order:

    > 1. Make the image a layer (no background).

To do this, make the visible LAYERS Panel, hold the ALT key and double-click on the background.  It should become the layer 0.  If it is not to start from the bottom, you can skip this step.

    > 2. Increase the size of the canvas to the ratio 16 x 20, opening new space on the right.

Image - Image size, uncheck resampling and make the image 20 inches in height.  Then choose a picture - size of the canvas, and then to the right as follows:

    > 3. Make a rectangular selection, excluding most of the Red parts.

You should have, at this stage, an image with a grid showing on the right side.  Choose the Rectangle tool, as I indicated in the post above 5 and drag around the area shown in post 1, including some of the red pieces.

    > 4. Edit - Content Aware scale and drag the right handle to fill the drawing area.

Click on Edit - Content Aware scale in the menu.  You will get a set of small handles square around the portion of the image you selected.  Take the right and pull to the right, as shown here:

    > 5. Editing (for example, slightly fuzzy) edges that have become noisy because of the operation.

After the operation of Content Aware scale, I saw that the flower petal edge was a bit rough looking, so I thought it would be a good idea to choose the tool blur and brush on the edge slightly.

  • 8-bit look: sometimes made smooth.

I do a video that includes a section that looks like an old 8-bit game.  But I need to keep high definition, so I can't really make the 190 screen pixels by 170 pixels or whatever.  So what I'm doing is making up the mock pixel by pixel in this small size in photoshop, then scale it up forming "the nearest neighbor (edges hard preserve)" selected.  This worked pretty well a number of times.  However, I recently found that some of my images are projected inside the aftermath with crenellated looking for edges, no hard edges, they show in photoshop.  Some of the images that the contours of hard and others not.

Most annoying part is that if I double click on the file itself and look on its own, in the aftermath, the edges are difficult and there is no current anti-aliasing.  However, it is in the composition of the fuzzy edges.  Even different compositions.  I tried to look for differences between the formats of pixels, but that did nothing.  It makes even less sense because they are right next to eachother, an image that keeps those nice hard edges and a different image that doesn't work.  Both were made the same way, but for some reason any, they are different.

Any suggestions?  I tried jpg, png, tiff, psd, tga, even.  Not good.  All of them do the same.

When I make a rectangle, the left and right edges are a bit fuzzy and thicker, then the bottom and at the top. It seems very strange and I don't know why that is.

I made a new document (72 dpi, preview mode: by default) and I tried to see if it's the same thing on another screen, and it is.

I thought that the problem would be with the 'align on the pixel grid' property but by activating / deactivating it doesn't matter. Maybe it's something with anti-aliasing? "Work of anti-aliasing" is checked in my preferences...

  • Solid has blurred the edges

Hey guys, I write two pictures here. The first is a look at the problem I have. In my HDTV 1920 x 1080 computer I have a solid orange that does not such defined edges. As you can see in this picture, the edge is very blurred. Any computer resolution I have in it or how zoomed in or out on the canvas, I get this fuzzy border. It has no effect on this solid with the exception because it is a 3D solid that I move the camera to the subject.

    Screen shot 2012-01-27 at 11.04.55 AM.png

Strangely, I have another solid, a gray that seems perfectly fine. Since it is on top of the orange layer, both together give me defined benefit that I need. Any ideas?

    Screen shot 2012-01-27 at 11.05.23 AM.png

Make sure that your solid are placed in full pixel values so that they cause no subpixel sampling. Also check the motion blur and the quality of the layer switches. Similarly, make sure that this isn't just a problem due to the use of OpenGL preview or view the model at odd zoom levels / resolutions.
