  • E7440: Audio Jack does not detect all connect more

    Hi all

I am reported a strange problem. I use E7440 with Windows 7 64-bit with Realtek HD Audio driver (as shown below). My computer also has 'AUDIO DELL' management utility.

Previously, external headphones and portable speakers were working well and whenever I used to insert the pin code of my headphones into the audio jack, a small pop-up used (from the utility DELL AUDIO) used to make appear to select the type of device, I just inserted.

What happened was, as usual, I inserted the headphones and the popup appeared. I somehow click outside (or closed the popup window) without selecting the device type. Since then, whenever I re - insert the PIN in the audio jack, it behaves as if nothing had happened.

I tried to fix it by the following methods, but always the same problem.
-Inside the DELL AUDIO utility, there is an activation or deactivation pop up under the menu option "Advanced > Jack Information." I tried to switch it, thinking that he can reset the pop-up.
-Inside the DELL AUDIO utility, there is an option to restore the default settings in the menu "Advanced > Restore Defaults. But it also did not help.
-I uninstalled my audio driver from Device Manager. During the restart of the computer after the uninstall, it automatically installed the audio driver again. Once I did, my speakers have also exploded. In other words, no sound of two internal speakers laptop no audio jack. I had to restore my computer to one of the restore points to undo this uninstalling the driver and reinstalling.
-I also tried update utility DELL AUDIO via the utility "update DELL client system. But it seems that this utility has some problems too, as ever, he proceeded as planned. I had to do a system restore to restore my computer on track.

Current situation is the internal laptop talk work very well and any plugin for the audio input jack is not pop - up (to select the type of audio device) while the DELL AUDIO has the option to display the pop-up windows when a new device is inserted.

I have not checked in any other operating system yet. But I'm sure it's the problem of the DELL AUDIO utility.

Any guidance will be much appreciated by me and the people around me, who have to listen to my stuff because of this problem of the audio input jack.

    Best regards

Hello. We have a lot of posts this year on taking undetected on laptops Dell with Realtek audio. I suggest that you try to install the native Windows audio driver. The method is similar to what you were doing when you uninstalled the realtek driver.

Open Device Manager (type devmgmt.msc in the search box), and then expand "audio, video and game controllers".

Right-click on "Realtek High Definition Audio", and then select uninstall. This time, put a checkmark in the delete files optionand then on ok. When you restart, Windows will install its own native driver or another driver Realtek if there were other versions on the hard drive. Then go back to Device Manager and look for a Realtek driver. Keep the uninstall & reboot (removing the files each time) until Realtek no longer appears under controllers of noise. Finally, you will see "High definition Audio Device" (native Windows driver) instead of "Realtek High Definition Audio"

Must work with this driver. If it's not, and if you are still under warranty, report the problem to technical support.

If the Jack is working, then next download and install a new copy of the driver Realtek. The Audio from Dell Manager is really a truncated version of the Realtek Audio Manager. I don't know, but you might get a new copy of the Audio Dell Manager with the new copy of the Realtek driver. The actual address of Realtek Audio Manager has better controls for the headphone jack, but apparently we can't get it in a Dell laptop.

If it still doesn't work then try a driver directly from Realtek website. (Return to the native Windows driver each time before trying any different Realtek driver.) You can try the Dell offer and the Realtek drivers.

  • INSPIRION 3543 - question about jack combo

Hi, I have a question about a laptop Inspiron 3543. He installed the combo input jacks, and I need to use the line of input and output audio.

Question 1: Is - it enough for me for this purpose a headphone splitter - 2 jack x ordinary?

Question 2: Is this laptop allows you to adjust the entry on the line in mic?

Sorry for the broken English, but I write with a translator: D

Question 1: Is - it enough for me for this purpose a headphone splitter - 2 jack x ordinary?

Hello. Jack combo on the Inspiron 15 3543 is intended to be used with standard stereo headphones, or with headphones (stereo headset with a built-in mono microphone).

In theory, a dispatcher or an adapter with a plug out of SOCKET (tip, ring, ring, sleeve) can be used with a combo Jack. A plug from SOCKET looks like this:

However, we have received many messages from people saying that the adapter did not work for them. Some people have posted and said that the adapter works for them.

Note that the entry of a combo Jack is mono. There is no way to make it be a stereo input.

    dayer41
Question 2: Is this laptop allows you to adjust the entry on the line in mic?

You can set the input mic in sound properties volume (Control Panel > Sound). Open the properties of the sound, and then click the recording tab at the top. Right click on the Microphone. Click 'properties '. Click the tab at the top levels to find the sliders to adjust the volume of the mic input.

It is similar to this image, except that you must click on 'Levels', not 'listen '.

  • The audio jack problem

What headphones do you recommend for Inspition 15 3000 series PC laptop? I have big problem with Plantronics with unfortunatelly and USB connector (it was excellent for many laptops up to now) the same with Logitech. I found very uncomfortable to use a connecton for microphone and headphones.

Inspition 15 3000 Series notebook PC

Inspiron 15 3000 series may refer to the model Inspiron 15 3542. If your model is the 3542, it has an audio jack headphone single (combo) that accepts a type of smart phone to the headset. The type has a unique segmented 4 taken (TAKEN) that combines the two headphone and headset plugs into a single outlet.

Your laptop also ordinary (without microphone) helmet allows a standard taken 3 segmented (TRS).

Do not take offense, but I can't understand what you're asking. You have a Plantronics usb headset that plugs into a port usb, but makes you uncomfortable with the only one taken audio input of your laptop? Perhaps you could phrase that in a different way.

  • Dell InspironN4050, no sound audio Jack...

Hi, I am using Dell Inspiron N4050, I'm having a problem with my audio jack. There is no sound from my audio jack in windows, I tried all the solutions available on Google but none of them work...
first I thought that it's a hardware problem, but now I think there a driver/software related issue, because jack works absolutely fine in ubuntu without causing me any problems... I am also using the latest IDT drivers available for my hardware. My Audio device is IDT High Definition audio Codec... Hope that someone tell me working Solution...
I am using 32 Bit Widnows7 all drivers are up to date...
    (Sorry for my bad English)

I looked into this on some Linux discussion forums. This seems to be a problem for many people with dual-boot systems, and I don't think that it is limited to just of IDT audio. They say that Ubuntu (or whatever the version) did something that Windows cannot cancel. The most common suggestion is to shut down the laptop, unplug the power, remove the battery, then plug the power back, restart.

    See this thread at askubuntu.com.

I don't think that today this Type of material are made which are no longer compatible with the OS only...

I agree. The material is of course compatible with a BONE, but seems inconsistent when you use the two together. My guess is that Windows or Linux could solve the incompatibility, but will they?

  • H8-1500z ENVY: Audio Jack before leaving abruptly - Win 10 months updated. Audio beats.

Everything worked fine until a couple of days.

Now, the audio streaming does not before taking. Taken back is fine.

If I turn off the digital output, audio DOES come from the audio jack front (so no hardware problem). BUT the keyboard volume buttons do not work. In this mode, the volume must be adjusted by opening the window appropriately and with the mouse.

I can't make it before the default device.

I don't know what anyone that I did to preciptate. No new software, nothing. Just got back from vacation and that's the way it was.

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. You are quite correct, that he will try again to install these updates. My initial intention was to see if it was an update to blame. Now it seems to be confirmed, what you can do depends on version 10 of Windows you have installed.

Here is a Microsoft document that includes information on how to prevent a particular update in Windows 10: How to temporarily prevent a Windows Update or reinstallation of Windows 10 driver -support.microsoft.com.  This is very useful if you know what is the child of problem for your system.

See also: How to prevent Windows 10 to automatically download updated -howtogeek.com, which shows the different methods you can use. It is likely that you will need to do, is the connection of the meter. The important thing to remember is that if you have several network or WiFi connections, each should be defined as inhalers 10 Windows will automatically use and run the updates with the connection open.

    I hope this helps.

My system is a M7690N running Windows 7 and windows XP (dual boot). also the audo Realtek card dose not appear in Manager devices under XP or win 7.

    Hello

Please do not post same question several times. The machine is now using his best so that it disables audio existing. To be able to recover it, you must change the audio setting in the BIOS to Auto (or disabled) on Board (or active).

    • Start the machine
    • Press F10 repeatedly,
    • Go to the Advanced menu & device options.
    • As mentioned above, the change
    • Press F10 to save.

    Good luck.

  • HP m7160n the front audio jack problem

I am running Vista Home on my PC Media Center m7160n.  I used to be able to plug my headphones into the front audio jack and it would reduce the rear speaker output.  Now it doesn't!  I entered the sound properties and is set to turn off the rear socket, when the system detects a card into the front socket.  The helmet still works, but I need the speakers off when using the headset.  I hope this is enough information.

    Hi MrBassMan26,

It's weird and looks like the jack-detect is not working properly. This problem just started happening? It happened after installing anything, even a Windows Update?

If it just started happening, you can try to perform a restore of windows to an earlier point when it was operating normally. Or you could try to re - install the driver audio or even install a updated audio driver. Who should take care of it, and if not you may need to make some configuration changes in one of the sound properties (Windows or Realtek).

I see that you have Vista, you accidentally upgraded to Vista XP?

    Try to install audio driver for Vista from Realtek: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsCheck.aspx?Langid=1 & PNid = 24 & PFid = 24 & Level = 4 & Conn = 3 & DownTypeID = 3 & GetDown = false

Let us know how it goes.

  • Tecra A4 Audio Jack sizes

    Hi all

I recently bought a Tecra A4. My plug stereo audio 3.5 mm (that I used with my laptop computer players and previous music) can not get into the audio jack of the Tecra. There seems to be a sort of "obstruction" in decision-making.

I've had the laptop returned during the initial period of 14 days. However, the laptop next sent me has had the same problem.

Could someone please advise me on what's going on?

    See you soon
    Khim.

    Hello Khim

I'm really confused with the description of your problem. AFAIK all laptops have the same dimension of audio input jack (the same standard audio port). I put t know what laptop, you had before, but there is no difference. Important is that audio is well inserted in the port audio (jack whole). Right now, it will work correctly.

I tried my helmet in many other portable (various manufacturers) in my office and it works perfectly.

    Good bye

  • Optical Audio Jack on a Terminal Airport Express, which digital optical connector/adapter is necessary?

Optical Audio Jack on a pattern common Airport Express (model A1392, purchase of 2015) - digital optical connector/adapter is necessary?  My stereo has a TOS connector, but I'm not familiar with the analog/optical socket on the side of the airport.  What type of cable connector does?

It's called a mini-TOSlink. It has the same dimensions as a headphone jack 3.5 mm, but it is simply a small tube. You can buy adapters to the mini jack to the TOSlink Jack standard to stick on the end of a normal wire, or lead with a type at each end. Some equipped trails a couple of detachable adapters provided.

  • I have a MacBook Pro (mid-2012) with the audio jack single. Why not recognize it when I plug a microphone inside?

I have a MacBook Pro (mid-2012) with the audio jack single. Why not recognize it when I plug a microphone inside?

I use a splitter cable, and have verified meter that it is properly connected.  Also the microphone that I try to use the works when connected to a separate Recorder device, so I know who works very well.

The audio output on a 2012 port does not support the audio input.  You will need to use the USB ports for audio input.  This will require an appropriate hardware and software.

    Ciao.

  • Problem with headphones in collaboration with audio jack laptop Lenovo touch G510s?

The speakers on the laptop itself work, but when I plug it into any pair a headset or headphones (I tried 5 well known pairs) and it's the same problem each time. The right ear piece works and the left does not. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, nothing helps.

I think it's a hardware problem and it has a warranty until May 30, 2015, but I don't have the time or money to send it offshore to lenovo of difficulty (expensive to send from the military base).

Is there a simple solution like an audio jack usb or something that I can use to be able to use a headset?

You can get a good cheap sound card USB off Amazon and use instead.

  • HP Pavilion e049wm 17: 17-e049wm (HP pavilion 17) can I replace the audio jack on the motherboard?

    Hello

Nearly two years ago, I bought the laptop and the audio jack stopped working. I opened the laptop and saw that indeed broken taking!

I wonder where I can get a new, so maybe I can solder on the motherboard?

There is no place to buy this decision in a separate part. The only possibility is to find a motherboard nonworking parts on ebay and to transplant the good audio jack on your motherboard, and I don't want to minimize welding skills that will. You'd be very likely to damage the motherboard still more. Your best bet now if you want to use the laptop with a gaming headset is to get a cheap usb sound card and plug it in when you want to listen in private. I guess that the speakers of the laptop still work OK?

    Like this:

    http://www.Amazon.com/virtual-5-1-surround-external-sound-card/DP/B000N35A0Y/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&QID=1457963711&SR=8-5&keywords=USB+sound+card

You could buy half a dozen of them, then you might lose a bit and still be OK.
