  • Problem of black screen in G62-361TX everytime I try to play videos online

The problem is that my laptop screen goes black when I watch videos online (YouTube videos), but the laptop seems to be on (the WIFI and the Bluetooth lights next to the power button do not turn off). I restart my computer (hold the power button to turn off).

Same problem when I play HD MP4 video on windows media player. But WMP reads the other normal videos without any problem.

Problem with Windows media player was there from the date of purchase, I used to see the error message like "display driver stopped responding and successfully recovered" also not black screen at all, for the past 3 weeks I have the problem in the visualization of the YouTube video. Now no error message at all, that I can see a black screen.

I have Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit) and the drivers are up to date.

When I search in the support forum, I have a suggestion, so I removed the battery pack and power cord, then I hold button power for 60 seconds, then I started my laptop. This time, it seemed as resolved, but the problem occurred after 3 days.

Please help me get this problem is resolved.

  • HP G62 - 340US Black screen on power on, no corresponding led error code

    Hey all,.

Having a problem with my laptop HP G62-340US. The computer will continue to feed on, but the screen does not light, but the caps lock light has a constant slow continuous flashing. The indicator light next to the charging port is orange, as the light next to the wireless button. (There is no NumLock on the keyboard of a light)

I looked at the link to HP support for this issue, located here:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01443366

But was unable to find my specific situation. Any help or idea would be greatly appricieated.

    Thank you!

Try to start the machine without the battery and connected to the power adapter. Try to boot the machine with a single chip memory installed (if you have two). Try changing the location of the chip memory if you don't have one. Do a hard reset by removing the battery, power adapter, pressing the power button for 1 minute, reconnect the battery and power adapter, and then try again. If this does not work, you will have a video chip problem that would require a reflow (I know this isn't your model, but it shows you what may be involved):

Good shops use pistols temperature controlled at worst and stations Infra red reflow for more accurate results.  The video was just to give you an idea what may be wrong.

    Hi Helen,

    Try the following.

Download Realtek HD Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp48001-48500/sp48281.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the Realtek audio device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you are finished, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.

    Chipset Driver - Windows 7.

Once this done, stop the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the installation of Realtek Audio program and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

  • HP G62-340US: how to know if a HP G62-340US is a model 1.0 or 1.1?

How will I know if the laptop is a model 1.0 or 1.1?

    Ken

I didn't get into this so deep, but here we are. Yes, if you look at page 22 of the manual, some motherboards are only "for the 1.0 model" or "1.1 only.

    Manual

G62-340US has an Athlon II P340 and ATI HD 4250 UMA video

UMA video cards do not seem to be a model number. So I'd say the G62-340US is neither a 1.0 or 1.1

  • HP g62-226nr

Hey help me I want to improve my hp g62-226nr cpu, graphics card and ram.

Can someone help me I have a pentium and 4 GB of ram.

I put an i3 or i5 on it and what is the ram limit.

BTW, my motherboard number is 616449-001.

    Help, please

    Hello

To answer your questions in order:

    1. there is a list of compatible processors on Page 91 of your & Maintenance Guide.  I always recommend to check with HP, once you have made your choice, as errors in the list have been known.

2 video chip is integrated into your motherboard, and is not an evolutionary element.

3 max Ram is 8 GB - IE the Modules of DDR3 2 x 4 GB - see Page 54 of your & Maintenance Guide.

  • G62 white screen

    Hi all

I have a HP G62-b26SA laptop that worked fine yesterday, today when I started that I had was a blank screen, after a few attempts still empty a screen, so I checked online and tried again to start in a dark room with a torch, but still could not see anything on the screen, then the next connected to an external monitor and still just a white screen but also noticed an orange light on the F12 key.  If anyone can help, it's the screen or a dead laptop?

    Concerning

    Nick

    Hi Nick,

Unfortunately, my best guess is that everything points to a failure a faulty GPU - if it was that only laptops appear at fault, it is still an output video when you connect to an external display.  The graphics chip of 4250 HD to your laptop is integrated on the system board.  Purchase a card replacement (if available) of HP would be prohibitively expensive (in my opinion), but you may be able to get a good second hand Board from somewhere like EBAY or try to get your 'converted' existing GPU chip using a service like the one on the link below.

  • HP G62 100SL: HP G62 100SL ram Upgrade problem

    Hello

I wanted to upgrade the ram on my G62, since the out-of-the-box 2x2gb:

( http://www.kingston.com/it/memory/search/discontinuedmodels/Default.aspx?DeviceType=3&Mfr=HEW&Line=G... the serial number of my modules is 598856-001 and 002-598856, so that they are 2 gigabits - DDR3 1333 MHz)

    to them:

    http://www.Kingston.com/it/memory/search/?partid=kvr13s9s8/4

Their specifications, they seem to be compatible, but when Windows tries to load, it just crashes and restarts and gives me this type of error: Kernel security check failure, then restarts, and so on in a loop.

I checked the new memories on a different laptop and they work very well, I swapped the slots but nothing has changed. So, the problem probably lies in windows or directly on the configuration of the bios (but I can't change anything in there, I f.37 InsydeH2O, 3.5 version).

You know a way to solve this situation or can tell you me a type of memory which will work for sure for the upgrade?

    Thanks in advance!

Not exactly. Some versions of the G62 will accept 6 GB of RAM (4 GB and 2 GB), but this point is largely moot as I understand you are trying to install 2 x 4 GB total 8. In general, you do not want to mix the modules in sizes because you lose operation "dual channel" which is a bit faster than single-channel you can get from a module or modules of mixed size.

The speed of the memory of your laptop is DDR3-1066. Your 1333 mhz modules are downclocking to 1 066 mhz and a memory downclocks better than others.

You should carefully read the manual, but if you arrive at the actual parts for the memory modules list it shows a 4 GB module is only compatible with version 1.1 of the G62. 8 gigs will accept so not all models. Other than 1.1 versions are limited to 4 GB of memory.

You have the processor i3 - 330 M with a dedicated ATI 5430 M video chip with 512 vram. Those who take the 8 gigs (version 1.1) have the 5470 graphics. See pages 19 and 20. You have version 1.0. He maxxes to 4 gigs is therefore peeling when you try to install 8.

It is a lot of information, but the basic message is that you already have so much memory that can be installed on your laptop.

If it's 'the Answer' please click on 'Accept as Solution' to help others find it.

  • Update graphics card intel HD for G62?

I have a G62 450sa with i3 370 m 2.4 GHz so I know it is one of the models later, I just want to know if I can open it and pop into one of the ATI cards that are listed in the replacement parts PDF.

He said only 1.1 but I noticed that there's various mentions on a PCIe port with options for energy savings.

    Can anyone help?

    Hello:

You can't spend the video card in your laptop. It's a chip that is soldered to the motherboard.

Please see the manual on the link below.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02542102.PDF

The motherboard must be replaced in order to replace the video chip.

  • Upgrading the processor in a G62-229WM

    Hello

I had the wrong streaming video high definition on my HP G62-229WM.  From my research so far, it seems that the cause of the problem is the processor and the solution is to upgrade.

My first question is whether all the processors listed in HP Maintenance and Service of Guide for my computer model are compatible with my laptop.  I see that some processors are specified for model 1.1 or 1.2 only, but other than that, can I buy and install one of the listed processors?

My second question is how to determine which CPU to buy.  When should I start adding RAM to keep up with the processor?  I'm confused as to the interaction of these two parties.  I would not buy a more expensive processor, when I won't be able to get the best out there in any case.  I am pleased to also add RAM, but I have no idea how to do to decide what to do.

    Currently, my system has:

    Windows 7, 64-bit

AMD V120 Single Core 2.24 ghz processor

    2 GB of Ram

    CPU Socket S1G4

All parts are original.  We want to use this computer exclusively as an entertainment system, streaming video is so that it is the only task.

I appreciate any help at all.  Thank you!

Even the processor to the cheese you have is much faster than a Pentium 4 3 ghz. A good cell phone these days is as fast as a P4 3 ghz. Clock speed isn't everything. A choice between 4 gigabytes of RAM and a dual core with quadruple the L2 cache processor is difficult. The specifications of your laptop actually said he had 3 gigabytes of RAM... Why your have only 2? Can you check the memory physically to ensure that both modules are seated? If I had to choose, I guess I would take the CPU if I could make only memory or the CPU. Before that, although I could check the system monitor and see if the system is having to use swap memory. If this is the case, then I would upgrade the RAM and not the processor. Nothing slows a system like having to use virtual memory (swap). I think that a base load for Windows 7 requires perhaps 1.25 GB so with 2 GB, you have not a lot of margin. I would also do a msconfig and get rid of the programs to autostart as much as possible.

  • HP G62: HP G62 is dead. Any chance to get it to work again?

I already bought a new laptop so I don't really need my G62 5 years more, but of course, it would be better if I could make it work rather than having to throw it. It has been a month about since he is "dead" (not really, it always starts). The caps lock will blink once at once (it'll just keep blinking forever, but only once and then a few seconds later once more), so I think it is a non-functional CPU which I am certainly not interested replacing since I have a new laptop. Last IME such a problem has occurred that I had to replace the video card for 130 cad. However, I had my hopes high after learning that he might be able to be fixed, as if it's just a matter of BiOS. I want to know the following:

    1. I want to get the hard drive of this computer. Is it safe to just open it, make the hard drive and put it in my new computer and then save the files I want and then reinsert the new hard drive? BTW, my new computer is low-end.
    2. Only, I cleaned my computer with canned air once and that too not good. Should I open it and clean it with canned air? What is the problem?
    3. If this does not happen to work should I upgrade to Windows 10 when drivers are ready? It is already 8.1 Windows and worked quite fine... until it stopped lol

A flashing is cpu, 2 is Bios failure, nor seems easy to repair.

Not only put the hard drive in the new pc, just use a "usb to sata adpater" and connect it to a usb port on the new pc.
