I now need some drivers (Lan, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB) and wanted to know if I can still use the Vista drivers for the A100 (PSAA8E) available on the Toshiba support site, or should I look XP compatible drivers in other places.

  If you have installed Win XP you use drivers designed for Win XP and not Vista.
  Win XP drivers do NOT work on Vista OS.

  In order to check the Toshiba page if some XP drivers are available.
  If you find not all drivers XP then you have to collect the XP drivers to your own hand

  But I m sure that some XP drivers are on the European driver Toshiba page.

  Looks like you already have Microsoft Security essentials installed. Windows Defender is not necessary if you use Microsoft Security Essentials. Microsoft Security Essentials has its own antispyware component builtin and allows you to disable Windows Defender by design.
