game lag on vista ultimate 64

Play any game I play very well for about ten minutes, then one minute of incredible delay, it is impossible to play.

a simple 2D game I can run without lag, but nothing more that I can not.  There is only a single 3D game I can run without lag and that Evil Genius

I've defragged, run spybot, avast, run the drivers updated, off background programs, nothing helps.

I have a Nivida Geforce 9800 GT video card, an old sound card that is come/built into my computer, listed as high definition Audio Device and Intel core 2 CPU E8500 3.16 GHz processors and 4 GB of ram and physical memory.

I wouldn't if you use PC banking or something important/sensative.

Make sure that you create a point of restoration in the first place, but not sure that woud solve all the problems that it can be installed using BACK.

Is your drive E:\ where you install the game from? (e.g. CD or DVD)

If so, the media may be bad.  The disk might have scratches or other problems, or the drive itself could be dirty.  A can of compressed air which will usually clear upward.

The fact that the file is named autorun.dat is odd.  Any possiblilty that installation runs two times at the same time?

    Gearrunner,
I have Windows 7 32-bit last month.  I installed the demo of HAWX and he ran a program compatibility Wizard after installation.  He showed that DirectX 10 has been installed.  When I run DXDiag, I also show DirectX 11.  Now, I have installed DirectX 9 .0c on this machine.  Then you can try to install it and see if that makes a difference.

    DirectX 9 .0c

Of course now that I've tried the demo you have shot me in another game I have to play.  :)

  • Reinstallation DVD for Vista Ultimate 64 - bit Edition

    Hi all

New on the HP community and I must say I am impressed. I just bought an A6660T with Vista Ultimate 64 bit edition desktop computer. I talked to a very competent sales representative. He informed me that after I received the system, I could call Technical Support and the requisition of the re - install Vista Ultimate 64 bit dvd for $30. Has anyone done that? The reason I ask, I want to do my own clean install of the o/s, the recovery disks will not be enough for me. I believe that HP has these records on-site. I appreciate all the comments and look forward to a great experience here on the HP Forum!

    Thanks again

Welcome to the forums! I can't wait to start your experience here with a negative, but the game you order from HP is the same as the recovery set, you can burn using Recovery Manager on your computer. HP is not the finish plain Vista install DVD for class of consumer machines.

The sales representative may have thought class machines business, which I guess still has this option as they did on XP machines.

  • Satellite A200 (PSAE6) crashes on Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit

    Hello

I recently had a few frequent freezes on Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit Edition, I think it's maybe the video card (ATI HD2600 mobility). I have already downloaded and installed the latest drivers from the Toshiba site, but it continues to, sometimes, when I'm playing games, the screen blinks for 5 seconds or more and then would become black, completely erased, but the background sound and everything still works well and I am able to shut down the PC by pressing the power button once and then restart it normally.

It's a minor problem, the major problem is the freezing point, it freezes completely without warning, but oddly enough, he freeze by practicing a game! But freezes on normal operations (internet, office, etc.). I did the tests, tests of HARD drive memory, all in good health, and worse, on the Windows Event Viewer could not detect any problem, simply says 'unexpected system shutdown.

    I'd appreciate help please.

    Thank you

Hi I do not know if this will help, but you've got service pack 1 installed on your laptop, as when I installed it on my desktop the first time it caused blue screen errors and gave me a lot of problems, including the error messages that seemed to come with applications, I opened and a boring IQRL driver equal or less than but could not work why and then ultimately , I had so many problems that I had to completely reformat my office and I removed my scanner XP and webcam (both had vista drivers) and when I reinstalled service pack 1, it was beautiful, if by any chance do you have anything attached to your XP laptop and vista drivers as these seemed to be what was causing my errors.

Also a question about your graphic card drivers, I have the same laptop as you and was looking for updates to the graphics driver and couldn't find them anywhere on the site, where did you find yours? I use Vista Home Premium 32 bit, my model number is A200-28 p (PSAE6) and I would like to know if there is a new graphics card driver but can not find on the basis of knowledge, so the fact you have updated your would be could you point a new user in the right direction :-)

    Thank you

  • 6 buttons do not work on Satellite U400-10O after upgrade to Vista Ultimate

    Hello

I have improved my U400-10O of original Win Vista Home Premium to Vista Ultimate, installed every driver and utility, (some of them, for example PVAT repeatedly ;-))

However, could not succeed to operate the keys of multimedia shortcut, Led power button, Media Player, game, etc... They did not work with the original Setup, but I need this Ultimate Win.

What is the real solution to enable them to work?

    Thank you

    EIO.

You may need to configure these buttons first
Go in the * Toshiba Assist-> Optimize-> Toshiba button support *.

There you can configure the simple buttons.

But it might be possible that the PPV is not supported by Vista Ultimate, I've read about various problems after installing Vista Ultimate applications didn't work as it should.

  • Qosmio F20 and Vista Ultimate

I would like to know if anyone knows when Toshiba will create all the necessary drivers for this model running windows Vista ultimate.
Can someone give an answer? Thank you.

    Hello

I can't answer you that, but I'm afraid that it won't happen. As you know Vista is already longer than one year on the market and if Toshiba didn't offer drivers up to now I n t believe this will happen in the future.

In any case, I'm sure you can find the drivers somewhere on the net. I mean the graphics or sound driver. You can also try to use the value added packages or other tools of some other models Qosmio Toshiba.

I don't have a Qosmio F20 and cannot test it but if you have a game for a little time with her.
I'm sure you can make it work well.

  • Vista Home Premium VS. Vista Ultimate - what differences

I bought a laptop with Vista Home Premium O.S. and I experianced with GFgo7900GS graphics issue.

Now I have the opportunity to buy Vista Ultimate two times cheaper than in stores, so here's my question:
What will be the difference in performance of games when I'm going to change this system?

I heard that it is the only version of Vista, where can I play games without problems.

    Hello

Sorry, I have to disappoint you, but on your overall performance of the system, nothing will change. It will probably cause less performance, because Vista Ultimate is so
overloaded with graphic additional stuff (like animations, aero, blablabla.) and this guy who tells you that the games should run faster, no. CLUE bat, on operating systems or at least
    Windows Vista.

If you want to learn more about the different versions of Vista, then type the words "vista ultimate performance" in a big searchengine like google and try to find out and get a
unfamiliar with the system how Vista handles existing resources.

You will find that the only system to play games at the moment is Windows XP.
THE only ONE, because XP needs about 50% less system resources, there are more drivers and drivers for XP give you much more performance as vista drivers.

So, I hope that I could give you some good information on this topic of 'Vista '. It s a little more complicated than you think, so I wanted to give you a BRIEF description. :)

    Welcome them

  • I can't get Age of Empires III to install on my Vista Ultimate 64 system!

I tried to install several times without success.  I don't even get an error message!  The installation box runs through the routine of preparation and then closes without any report either.

I did some research and found quite a long thread on this forum since 2009 by a person called Summerbreeze who seemed to have a similar problem.  After several posts back the thread died suddenly without any apparent resolution.  Apparently, it is possible to get this game to work on Vista because I keep seeing questions and reports on various hardware issues with Vista users.

I am running Vista Ultimate 64, SP2, on a workstation Intel S5000VXNSATA that has two processors dual core Xeon 5130 and 4 GB of RAM.  My video configuration is a dual monitor connected to a graphics NVIDIA Quadro FX 3450/4000 SDI card that carries the 256 MB of RAM on board.  I have 2 hard drives of 160 GB configured in RAID 0, but I have only about 50 free BM for the moment.  I am currently compressing readers in an attempt to free up space.

Any of my equipment from the list of incompatibility and I certainly sufficient power to run this thing, then why the problems?

    Thank you

  • Install Vista Ultimate on a new disc

    Hello world

I have Vista Ultimate installed on my 320 GB internal hard drive.

The Vista disc that I have, cannot be installed on a pc.

Unfortunately, this disc has become unstable and I'm afraid it will fail and I will lose everything on it.

I am about to buy a 1 TB drive and wish first, partition, then install Vista Ultimate on it, then transfer all of my original him.

A simple enough thing to do I guess.

However, I learned by several people that I won't be able to install Vista on drive 1 TB, as Microsoft will see this facility as a "second installation on a second pc" and so I will not be able to validate my drive.

Can someone tell me if this is correct

    Thank you very much

    It's not correct.

You have a copy of Windows retail or an OEM version? Or we can
be installed only on one computer at a time, but a copy has an OEM
additional restriction: his license it permanently binds to the first
computer, it is installed on and it can never be moved to another.
However, even if it is an OEM copy, change the hard drive does not work
another computer and you can certainly do that and use
your copy of Windows in this regard.

  • ReadyBoost and 64-bit Windows Vista Ultimate

I have a desktop Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit.  This desktop system has 8 GB of RAM.

I have also a spare room jump drive (this one): http://store.lexar.com/?category=23&subcategory=36&productid=JDP4GB-431

Two questions: with 8 GB of RAM, ReadyBoost will improve performance?  8 GB of RAM or RAM that ReadyBoost will have no appreciable effect?

Secondarily, even if this USB is 4 GB, ReadyBoost is offering only the capacity of 2200 MB (2.2 GB) for this drive - this notwithstanding the reader is completely empty of other data.  ReadyBoost should not be able to take advantage of almost the full 4 GB of RAM offers this USB?

    Thanks in advance!

Hey readyboost is really for pc with less than 2 GB of ram. As readyboost was created to eliminate the use of copy turbo boost (you can get laptops lenovo in computers)... with that said you actually have lots of memory and even nearby go using that much used to the average PC user. Only if you're a gamer in HD really intensive 3D, or you go crazy with photo devlopment will you begin to use more memory.

in the truth and does most of the PC to run on 3-4 GB of ram. (4 the average user)
to be honest, I have 8 GB in my HP d5200t ATX (custom) and the only time I need more ram is when I do the scans in the background while burning blueray movies and play call of duty 4 (really good game).
So with 8 GB of ram, readyboost won't make a noticeable performance increase it might even slow it down according to your jump drives read and write speed.
    I hope this helps.
