• All my games have a problem with my direct3D

  All my games have been good before... and now there are errors...

  I opened my other games Prototype 2, The Sims 2, Frozen Throne III and ragnarok online. all games will not start because of an error regarding with d3d.

  I checked my dxdiag and found I have a DirectX version 11 and the DirectDraw acceleration, Direct3d acceleration, AGP Texture acceleration are all enabled.

  I don't know what to do... Please help me...

• Problems with DirectX, you cannot start any game.

  Hello, I just joined here because I can't find an answer anywhere, I hope you can help me :)

  As the title says, I have problems to run games on my lap top, I can't run any game I have installed on it, they all show an error or do not launch at all. First of all for all, my computer specs:
  HP Pavilion dv7, running Windows 7 edition full 64-bit
  Intel Core i7 Q720 @1. 60 Ghz
  6 GB of RAM
  GeForce GT 320M with Directx 11
  And the games I've tried so far:
  -Roller coaster tycoon 3 Platinum (it shows Directx 9 not found)
  -Euro Truck Simulator 1 (in the settings window, I can't change between OpenGL and Directx, and it will not open with OpenGl I don't know why)
  -Euro Truck Simulator 2 (it crashes just before the splash screen)
  -Grand Theft Auto San Andreas (similar to the 2 Euro truck Simulator)
  -Age of Mythology - The Titans Expansion ('Failed to initialize')
  And I must say that all of these games has a great like 5 months ago (Yes, I have 5 months without playing an any of them).
  I will zoom checked drivers video card, update to the latest directx and I tried to downgrade my directx to version 10, but it seems to be impossible.
  It also shows, on DX diag on the section "Screen", DirectDraw, Direct3D and AGP Texture as 'unavailable '.
  Any ideas on how I can solve it? Thanks in advance, if you need info. just tell me :)

  Thank you for your quick response, I solved it today morning, I had to downgrade somehow the video card drivers and thn update again, and it worked, if anyone has the same problem, try to do this and hope it works for you also.

• problem with directx on stream hp 8

  Hello, I have a 8 Hp flow Tablet and I wanted to play old games. I know that I would not be able to play resource intensive games like Skyrim on a Tablet, but I wanted to play games like heretic or wolfenstein 3d, which made for very old machines which had way fewer features than my tablet. These games require a BACK emulator called DOSBOX to emulate the old machine.

  When dosbox starts, it immediately closes and displays a message saying 'could not initialize DirectInput. I also have the message of the emulator zsnes super Nintendo Games.

  I checked the dxDiag program and I have Directx 11 is installed.

  Is there something that I am missing? Or the Tablet is not compatible with DirectX?

  There is a patch for dosbox, which makes it suitable for tablets without having to connect a mouse:

  I guess now that dosbox works, I should try to use the version of zsnes BACK instead of windows with Dosbox and see how that comes out (the patch is only for dosbox, I have not found one for zsnes).

• GeForce GT 240 m, problem with DirectX

  My specs:
  ASUS N51Vn-A1
  Windows 7 64 bit
  Core 2 Duo t9600 2.8 GHz
  4 GB DDR2 800 MHz RAM - memtest86 + past all
  GeForce GT 240 m 1 GB DDR3 CUDA

  I can send it to ASUS, but not because of spring break I'm at school and really need my laptop.

  The problem I have is when running the games, I will get artifacts after a random time (can be anywhere between 10 seconds to 2 hours). Then, if I keep going the artifacts will get worse and worse, until the gel (it is NOT a system graphics/game freeze freeze. Music guard play and other things). I can Ctrl + Alt + Delete, then click Cancel. This will reduce, then reload the game and it works for a few seconds and freezes again. Then finally if I continue to run the game it bluescreens pointing to nvddmkm.sys.

  I checked the ram with OCCT. I ran the "GPU: MEMTEST ' and it fails the test 2-5, but switches to 1 and 6. I copied the failures in a txt If you want me to post that. In test 2, the screen goes black and Windows reports that nvddmkm has stopped working and recovered.

  Now for the weird part. I downloaded and installed VMT (another video ram test program). It has 3 options for tests, CUDA, DirectX and OpenGL. I ran the test Direct X, and it is not about all the tests. Then, when I ran in OpenGL mode it passed all tests. He passed again when I put it in CUDA mode. This makes no sense. His essay the same RAM, but fails depending on the software used. This is why I'm not sure whether material. I tried upgrading Direct X and even to reinstall Win 7. It would make more sense on why it is in DX anyway.

  So my question is:
  Is it possible to determine that it is in fact a hardware problem and not a software problem? Also is it possible that I can fix it temporarily until released when I can sent my laptop to fixed it? As disable a section of ram that has problems? Or a way to erase the memory of corruption. Also is there a way to prevent sharing ram Direct X?

  Hello. I thought about it. It was not DirectX. I found that it is bad VRAM. I had to underclock the VRAM to make stable games. The clock speeds stock for the video card on my laptop are 550 core and 790 mem. I ran it to the kernel 520 and 700 mem. This seemed to resolve the issue. I will RMA as soon as slacking off.

• Problem with DirectX 11, the registry entries does not

  I know there has been a response to a similar problem, but I tried the solution and it didn't work.

  I deleted the registry entry for Dx11 by error files and now I can't reinstall a new copy of Directx. I tried to use the alternative with

• My new game Halo2. Problems with the installation. Windows live rejects my product code

• H satellite L505-13 - problem with the resolution of games

  Yet, I have the latest version of the ati driver and directx 11...

  Windows Dectet my monitor properly (plug-and-play), and my screen resolution works well for: 1366 x 768 and 800 x 600.
  on the other hand, when I start a game I have only the choice between these two resolution: 800 x 600 and 1024 x 768...

  All the games don t fit the full screen and there is always a black area on the right and left.

  Some games (crash)... and I thought it made a link with said that I have only 2 resolution.

  I put t know what games you want to play, but generally speaking, it of also depending on the game you can use screen resolutions. For example if your game supports only 2 screen resolutions, you can only use these resolutions.

  So all you can do is update the driver DirectX and display. Then, look for an update (patch) for the game.

• Satellite M40X - big problems with Sims 3 - help with disk drives!

  I recently bought the sims 3 and unfortunately an error message appears saying "Disk authentication failure" I noticed after calling EA games and reading through many forums that there was a problem evident with laptops Toshiba and their ability to play the sims 3 (disk DLA).
  I did like the forums all recommended, and I have disabled the DLA drive, uninstalled the sims and restarted the computer. Not only could I not play the sims or re - install, but my computer did not recognize even the hard drive, he kept saying 'bad volume' etc.
  I got the sims on the computer and then re-enabled the DLA drive, causing my computer to close and show a major error on a blue screen.

  I then turned the computer back on, and it does not recognize the disc sims 3 more... It recognizes the other placed disks in the cd-rom drive... But now when I put the sims 3 in the player and enter my computer to open it it tells me to insert a disc into the cd player...

  My questions are the following...

  A.) how can I get my hard drive to recognize the disc sims being in the drive

  (B) once this problem is solved, how can I go about installing and using the sims 3 without disabling the DLA, which proved detrimental drive.

  (C.) other problems with computers laptop toshiba have turned around an individual driver... Metisha or something? My driver's - VOB COMPUTERSYSTEME GMHB
  Or something to that effect, which means that it has nothing to do with the DLA drive.

  For the person who can help me, that would be so so appreciated...

  It has been fixed in version 1.2.7
