  I have Vista Home Premium on a Dell Inspiron 1720 and am about to do a new install of Win 7.

• DX9 games will work out of the box on Windows 7?

  This seems to be a big problem that Microsoft must address.  If you tried to play all games on Windows 7, you know that you will get error messages until you manually install DX9.  I thought that the versions of directx were supposed to be backwards compatible, so that dx11 is able to run a dx9 game.  But it looks like a lot of people to buy Windows 7, will do a little bit of a slap in the face, because none of their games will run until they perform this step.
