DNS server error

All my computers are visible in the network, but none of them can´t see my domain controller.

And my can´t domain controller, view or access one of my computers in windows Explorer.

All my services are running properly, and I can ping to any computer on the network and even to make a remote connetion to one of them.

This issue is beyond the scope of this site (for consumers) and to be sure, you get the best (and fastest) reply, we have to ask either on Technet (for IT Pro) or MSDN (for developers)

Time Warner Cable improved the internet in our area and it took a new modem. At the new modem and Airport Extreme works with it, having to put the modem in Bridge mode.

However the station Airport Express a few classrooms is now always flashing orange and the error says "there is no DNS server address.

If I refresh the DHCP lease it will go green, but less than a minute he keeps flashing orange.

    What should I do?

The way this is supposed to work, it's that your main router obtains the DNS server address of an upstream (on the ISP network) server. The wireless access point or router (router in bridged mode) next level gets its the main router DNS addresses. All subsidiary wireless access points get their the next upstream router DNS server address. Your Mac gets these addresses from the router or wireless access point when it gets its IP address.

It is possible that you may need to turn off all routers, then feed their place in the order of the modem to the outside. But once that happens it is likely to have on them.

If no joy in doing that, don't use the Admin user on your main router to see what should be these addresses, write them and enter them manually when you need it.

  • Error 105 (net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED): could not resolve the address of the DNS server.

Hello.. Any information on this error would be appreciated

Would be useful to have more details about what was going on when this error appeared, so my answer will be quite general...

Every time that you try to connect to a Web server using its internet name (for example, "answers.microsoft.com"), an impossible to establish connection to this server until an IP address for this server can be established.  It's like calling 'Joe'... you can not call Joe unless and until you know his phone number.  So out on the internet is a big "phone book" which is called "DNS server" which takes the name (for example answers.microsoft.com) and look up the number that goes with that name (for example 157.56.56.109).  The error that you mentioned will occur if your DNS server does not to come with an Internet address for the name of the server that you gave.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

According to the description of the problem, I understand that you can not connect to the network on your computer.

I can understand how frustrating it can be when things do not work as expected.

To better understand this issue, I would like to know the following information:

    1. What is the brand and model of the computer?

    2. did you of recent changes to the computer before this problem?

    3. you receive an error during the network connection code failed?

DNS (Domain Name System) translates the URL in IP (Internet Protocol) addresses (and vice versa). For example, if you type http://www.microsoft.com into the address bar in your web browser, your computer sends a request to a DNS server. The DNS server translates the URL to an IP address so that your computer can find the Microsoft web server.

We will try the following methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: I suggest you clear the DNS cache and see if that fixes the problem. Clear the DNS cache forces DNS to query a DNS server rather than using the information stored in the cache.

    Follow these steps:

    a. click on the 'Start' button.

b b.. in the search box, type "command prompt"

    c. in the list of results, click on invite and then click on run as administrator

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    d. at the command prompt, type ipconfig/flushdns

Restart the computer and see if that fixes the problem.

Method 2: If you still have questions, I suggest you refer to the suggestions of Meghmala responded on 28 June 2011 from the link below.

  • "No access to the network" problem in Windows 7 and error message "your computer seems to be correctly configured but the device or resource (DNS SERVER) is not responding."

Hello, I have a desktop PC and a laptop (DELL Inspiron N-4050).
I have problem with my internet connection cable which is working fine on my PC, but does not not on my laptop giving an error "no access to the network.

When I troubleshoot it says "your computer seems to be correctly configured but the device or resource (DNS SERVER) is not responding."
I said to many technicians of microsoft online response, but they could not solve my problem and said this is my DNS problem and advised me to contact my Internet service provider. Guess it's because of my internet so why it works on my PC not on laptop?

Yesterday, my ethernet cable pulled out my cell phone and I couldn't connect to the internet more. But on my desktop PC, it works perfectly fine. (I do not use wifi, if this information is also required) I have studied several threads with similar situations, and I have tried different methods to solve the problem to no avail. I did a system restore, but I'm having no luck. Also, I did not of the latest changes with my anti virus software and my LAN card drivers look to date.

When I remove my cable from the laptop and again connect my cable then it works but only after the PC sat for awhile.
1.I did flush DNS by typing "ipconfig/flushdns" in the command prompt.
    2. my IP address, DNS, subnet mask etc are set to automatic.
3.I also added physical address taken from command line giving "ipconfig/all". for the properties of the network driver settings.
4.I ' installed the drivers to date of 2014 on my laptop.
5.I did a lot of searching the web, but they do not solve my problem.

Please help me to solve it.
    I appreciate your help.

  • "" DNS server to error message "does not.

Original title: has no Internet connection

I had used my nokia phone as a modem with success for a few days. Subsequently, rather than connecting, I started getting a message saying that the DNS server does not. When I put in a different SIM from the same phone company, I am connected. Help, please.

    Hello Stephen,

We get the DNS server does not no error for the following reasons

a: The server that hosts the site may be temporarily down for technical reasons

b: The DNS service in your computer is damaged or does not

c: Firewall security or security software itself could have inadvertently blocked your PC to communicate with a Web site or some Web sites

Clearing the cache of DNS (domain name system), forces DNS to query a DNS server rather than using the information stored in the cache. You can clear the DNS cache on changes to the websites that you manage, or if you receive repeated errors when you know that you type an address is correct.

Empty the DNS and check if it helps to rectify the problem.

    a: Click the Start button

b: In the search box, type command prompt.

c: In the list of results, right-click guest, and then click run as administrator.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

d: At the command prompt, type ipconfig/flushdns hit then enter.

  • Error in the configuration of DNS server via the netsh command

When I configure a local DNS server for my test-domain with the netsh command
netsh interface ip set dns name = "LAN connection" source = static addr = 192.168.1.105
I get a messge for error (translated from German):
The DNS server is wrong or does not exist.

But the local configuration of the DNS server always works perfect afterwards.
The question now is: what netsh like not on my DNS server to produce this error?

I get the same message too and the command works perfectly every time. It's probably a timing issue. I would ignore it.
