Garbage Collection, external swf and XML

I did tons of research on the AS3 garbage collection. I have a decent knowledge of it, but I CAN'T find any info about the deletion of xml data. The worst thing is, I have no control over the version of the file (AS2 or AS3) swf file I'm loading. Unfortunately, I'm loading AS2 swf (with an outside provider that will not show you any code) in a film of AS3. When I run garbage collection, the data from the xml file / is not deleted and I can't understand how get rid of it. The problem is, once a file is loaded which calls an xml file, no other files cannot load an xml.

If anyone knows how to clear the XML, please fill me in.

Thank you!

  • How to prepare list for garbage collection after drag and drop operation

    Hi all

    I have a view in a mobile application that contains a list with the help of drag / move. The problem I encounter is that the NativeDragManagerImpl maintains a reference to this list in its _dragInitiator and _relatedObject properties. It is not a memory leak by - say, because the reference will be replaced the next time make drag and drop is used, however, my view that preclude any garbage collection, causing an unacceptable peak memory.

    Is there a way to perform cleanup on the DragManager (or in fact the underlying DragManagerImpl) upward to a time of my choosing? Thoughts or ideas will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks a lot for your time!

    I think I'd be monkey-patch NativeDragManagerImpl.  And create a bug report.

  • Load external swf and stopping on the 1st frame.

    Hello everyone

    I use following code to display an external swf file on the iPad.

    var request: URLRequest = new URLRequest ("http://< server ip > / test.swf");

    loader = new Loader();

    Loader.Load (request);

    The file load passes through each image and closes the application.

    Y at - it will be a way to stop the 1st frame once the file is loaded and move between the ribs to the?

    Thank you

    If you listen to when the charger is finished, you can stop the swf file:

    var mc:MovieClip;

    loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, swfloaded);

    function swfloaded(e:Event) {}

    MC = e.target.content as MovieClip;

    MC. Stop();

    }

    Now you can do what you like in this clip. As:

    mc.gotoAndStop ('some ' label');

    or:

    mc.gotoAndStop (10);

  • Package swf and xml for iOS using CMD - getting .xml: error 303

    A solution proposed by Adobe (associated with a bug report) I'm supposed to make the file iOS, using CMD rather than publishing automatically in Adobe Flash CS6.

    I'm not very good in CMD, then in this case, when I open CMD and go to the same location as the fla and other assets, and then copy and paste this code in it:

    F:\sdk\bin\adt-Paquet - target the ipa-app-store - useLegacyAOT Yes - implementation service-profile 'Hajj.mobileprovision' - stores pkcs12 - keystore "Hajj.p12" - storepass myPass Hajj.ipa Hajj - app.xml Hajj.swf

    First of all, it starts to process, means that the path is correct. But then I got some errors related to missing icon files:

    .xml: error 303: icon/icn_48.png icon does not appear in the package... (also any other icons I have)

    If of course they are in the icon of file, same that mentions in XML:

    < image48x48 > icon/icn_48.png < / image48x48 >

    ...

    I tried to copy the icons in the same location as the Fla and also the modified icons as Xml path, but I always Erros:

    < image48x48 > icn_48.png < / image48x48 >

    ...

    Any ideas what I'm doing wrong please?

    Kind regards

  • External SWF

    Hello, everyone!

    I have some problems using external swf.

    In fact, loading swf and access to its classes have no problem. Let's call a SWF that loads another - 'HAND'.

    public var GAME_LIB:LoaderContext;
    private function LOAD_GAME_LIBRARY()
    {
         var GAME_LIB_LOADER:Loader = new Loader();
         GAME_LIB = new LoaderContext();

         var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest("EXTERNAL.swf");
         GAME_LIB_LOADER.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, GAME_LIBRARY_LOADING_COMPLETED);
         GAME_LIB_LOADER.load(request, GAME_LIB);
    }

    private function GAME_LIBRARY_LOADING_COMPLETED(e:Event):void
    {
         var tmp_class:Class = GAME_LIB.applicationDomain.getDefinition("ZZZ") as Class;
         var myMC:MovieClip = new tmp_class() as MovieClip;
    }

    The question is:

    responsible for access to the classes of the swf 'HAND' to 'EXTERNAL.swf '? I want access to the classes of the 'HAND' loading code "EXTERNAL.swf". "» So ' HAND ' a sth in his library, I would like to call "new SMTH()" in the code of "EXTERNAL.swf" and get that smth from this GREAT library

    Sorry for my English.

    The problem is:

    This new SMTH, called EXTERNAL.swf, should be added as child in hm... HAND root, not EXTERNAL

    I have found no easier way but creating public var externally and passing HAND stage.root to it.

    externally:

    public var GAME_ROOT:*;
    public function ADD_SMTH()
    {
         var tmp_class:Class = getDefinitionByName("ZZZ") as Class;
         GAME_ROOT.addChild(new tmp_class() as MovieClip);
    }

    in HAND:

    public var GAME_LIB:*;
    private function GAME_LIBRARY_LOADING_COMPLETED(e:Event):void
    }
         GAME_LIB = e.currentTarget.content;
         GAME_LIB.GAME_ROOT = stage.root;
         GAME_LIB.ADD_SMTH();
    }

    So, this is how to make new SMTH() from the OUTSIDE.

    Main SWF will load external swf, then external code in swf will add class to hand library at the root of the hand.

    Problem solved. Thank you, kglad

  • How we prevent external swf click do not affect the parent swf

    I use the loadMovie command to load an external swf (a short course of education) in the parent swf file. The parent swf file is an interactive exercise with several buttons to answer. The user can click a button to open and close the turorial on top of the exercise.

    If the user clicks at random on the tutorial, they can accidentally click the answer buttons in the swf below parent and hear signals correct and incorrect. When they close the tutorial, they see that the answers have been given and it has a score when they have not intentionally give all the answers.

    How to prevent clicks on the external register on the parent SWF swf? Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.

    Add a rectangle step in the lowest layer of your external swf and make sure that the size of the stage of the loaded swf file and load is the same.  convert this shape to a movieclip and assign an instance name (for example, bg_mc).  in Control Panel, you can use:

    bg_mc._alpha = 0;

    {bg_mc.onRelease = Function ()}

    }

    bg_mc.useHandCursor = false;

  • Cadence of an external SWF

    Does anyone know if there is a way to detect the cadence of an external swf and then change the cadence of the original file to who?

    None is possible in as2, but he limited the ability to simulate a change in framerate.

  • Preloader which modifies the external SWF files every 5 seconds

    Hello

    I made a web banner in flash that loads an external swf and another external swf changes after 5 seconds. The banner have a preloader, but the problem becomes when you load the first time. As sovereign wealth funds are not cached in the cache of the browser and yet, time 5 seconds start counting from the preloader, and when the external swf file, shows only 1 second rest and it is replaced by another. There is a way to 'freeze' the time for each external swf until it loads completely?

    The code that loads SWFs every 5 seconds (this code is placed in a layer of action):

    start of the code:

    var intervalId: number;
    var: number = 0;
    var maxCount:Number = 23;
    var duration: number = 0;
    var banners: Array = new Array)
    "abatrade.swf,"
    "bancobrasil.swf,"
    "caparao.swf,"
    "cedro.swf,"
    "cesama.swf,"
    "copasa.swf,"
    "damatta.swf,"
    "emtel.swf,"
    "engedrain.swf,"
    "extel.swf,"
    "feedback.swf,"
    "iti.swf,"
    "intermedium.swf,"
    "magnesita.swf,"
    "maquenge.swf,"
    "maxxdata.swf,"
    "orteng.swf,"
    "paiva.swf,"
    "paraibuna.swf,"
    "paraopeba.swf,"
    "sabesp.swf,"
    "serpro.swf,"
    "soll.swf,"
    'thawte.swf '.
    );

    function executeCallback(param:String) {}
    var duration: number = 5000;
    loadMovie (banners [count], loadmovie_mc);
    loadmovie_mc._x = 0;
    loadmovie_mc._y = 0;

    clearInterval (intervalId);
    if(Count < maxCount) {}
    Count ++;
    intervalId = setInterval (Thi, "executeCallback", duration, banners [count]);
    }
    else {}
    Count = 0;
    intervalId = setInterval (Thi, "executeCallback", duration, banners [count]);
    }
    }

    If (intervalId! = null) {}
    clearInterval (intervalId);
    }

    intervalId = setInterval (Thi, "executeCallback", duration, banners [count]);

    end of the code
    ----------------------------------------

    And the code to the preloader (this code I place in the movieclip that loads external SWF files):

    start of the code:

    {onClipEvent (enterFrame)}
    var gtT:Number = this.getBytesTotal ();
    var gtL:Number = this.getBytesLoaded ();
    var gtP:Number = int ((gtL/gtT) * 100);
    If (TWG > gtL) {}
    This ._alpha = 0;
    _root. Loader._alpha = 100;
    _root. Loader.bar._width = gtP;
    clearInterval (intervalId);
    } else {}
    This ._alpha = 100;
    _root. Loader._alpha = 0;
    intervalId = setInterval (Thi, "executeCallback", duration, banners [count]);
    delete onEnterFrame;
    }
    }

    end of the code

    Note that I tried to freeze the time using a clearInterval does in the second code, but he simply doesn't work...

    Any ideas? Thank you

    Edson

    Stop();

    You call unload() on objects that you cancelled - where the error.

    You should do something like:

    {if (loader2)}

    loader2. Unload();

    }

    As for the null value passed into the function - null is a default value. In this way, you can call the low past nothing:

    Down()

    Or you can use it as a handler in which case it will be called by the Auditor:

    Down (mouseEventInstnace);

  • How do external swf garbage collector in the Air for iOS?

    My app uses a lot of external SWF (although they are actually included in the application with a file, but they are not shipped) and does not contain any bitmapdata, only of vector graphics. The problem I have is that they seem to never be garbage collected and System. privateMemory continues to increase while the application loads more SWFs.

    As sovereign wealth funds contain vector graphics, I cancel all just all the variables that are now the reference to the SWF file and call it system.GC()... But it doesn't seem to work. What should I do for the garbage collector to clean sovereign wealth funds?

    I use Air for iOS 3.5.0.1060 and ActionScript3.0.

    Ago - I found that they are not always collected garbage when you expect to be. It is not that they are "missed" just AIR decides to wait before waste collection. I found that continuous application to run they will eventually be garbage collected at the same time very unpredictable, as long as you don't have really any remaining reference for them.
