GAV blocking Windows Update

I have several win 10 systems.  Today on each of them, when you do a check date of windows, it does not download the update of Dedinition and I get the following in the log.

13/07/2016 20:18:08-809 - security - alert - 64.212.26.252, 80, X 1 - tcp - gateway anti-virus Alert: MalAgent.H_6955 (Trojan horse) blocked.

If I disable windows update works in the GAV, and no error:

MalAgent.H_6955 (Trojan horse)

anyone see this?

This signature has been changed and should is be the source of the problems.

Thank you

  • Unable to start - blocked Windows updates to install updates

original title: I can not connect after restarting my computer during updates. Help, please

I have a Sony Vaio laptop running windows Vista (2008). It came pre loaded so I don't have an installation disc.

I was in the middle of a huge update (windows defender, IE ect.) and my computer restarted before finishing. Now, my computer is blocked in the saying of mode of update "Installing Step 3 of 3 updates" but it never gets past that point. I tried to start in safe mode, safe mode with development network, at the command prompt, but each of them just restart the computer all over again.
Please help me. I'm so stuck.

  • AVG Internet Security maintains the 'blocking' Windows updates

I am running Windows XP Home SP3 on my machine. I recently pushed a rootkit/trojan infection. My AVG Internet Security v9 is running and updated very well... something which it did in a month because of the infection. My Windows Firewall and automatic updates are enabled. (Which is also disabled during infections). I went to the Microsoft site and downloaded/installed the critical updates 43 (the infection had turned off automatically updated). However all the time I download and install the updated my AVG kept popping up with a deadlock message:

    'au.download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/software/crup/2012/07_467626d3805abcce3d926b85d8928a20d5edc05b.exe '.

(I continued to close the notification window and download or install updates. Each of them went through).

My Windows security shield has an exclaimation point on this subject.

Is it is a sort of conflict between AVG and update of Windows?

Please HELP... it makes me craaaaazy since it appears every 20 seconds or so!

    Thank you very much

    LuniLadi

    Anoop P K,.

Thanks for the suggestion on disabling the antivirus! I didn't turn off the whole program (which would be 'reisdent shield' on AVG). I have disabled the internet part (shield online) since it pops up constantly during the update downloads.

Sure enough... that did the trick. Updates downloaded and installed.

This part of the virus program is turned back on.

So far so good. Automatic updates seems to be to download and install without any interference of AVG Internet Security.

Thank you for taking the time to help.

If you have a wireless router: in the Security tab, verify that you are not blocking tool.

    Possible reasons: -.

1 Internet Explorer temporary files corrupted.

    2. background Intelligent and service not started event log

    3 C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder is corrupted

    4. you need to re-registered some DLLs

    5. you may need to add Windows Update to the Trusted Sites Zone:

    6. the spyware.

    7. the third-party programs running in the background.

    8 ActiveX controls corrupted

    Suggestion 1: -.

Deletion of temporary Internet files, cookies and history in Internet ExplorerTools > Internet Options > general

You'll see Delete Cookies, delete files, delete history of

NB: "delete all offline content", will remove all the files needed to browse websites offline.

    Restart and try Windows Update.

    Suggestion 2: -.

1: Verify that the Background Intelligent Transfer Service is set to automatic and the status is started.

Click Start, choose run and in the run box, type services.msc, click OK

Locate the Background Intelligent Transfer Service service and click to select.

Select properties, and in the Startup Type list, select automatic. Check the service status is started. Click OK.

    2. check that the event log service value is set to automatic and make sure that the status is started

Click Start, choose run and in the run box, type services.msc, click OK.

Click Start, choose run and in the run box, type regsvr32 qmgrprxy.dll, click OK.

    Proposal 3: -.

It is possible that the contents of the C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder has been corrupted, so try to rename the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution. Click Start, choose run.

In the run box, type services.msc.

    Click OK.

Right-click the automatic updates service. Click on stop.

Stopping the service will take a moment.

    Rename the folder "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution":

    a. Click Start, run, type: systemroot

    Click OK.

    b. right-click on the C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder, and then click Rename.

    c. Type SoftwareDistribution.old, and then press ENTER to rename this folder.

    Click Start. Choose run.

In the run box, type services.msc.

    Click OK.

Right-click the automatic updates service. Click Start.

Starting the service will take a moment.

Please note that your update history is contained in the "datastore" folder and when you rename the Software Distribution folder, the history is lost, but it is not important. You can, if necessary, copy the contents back to the renamed softwareDistribution.old folder. Losing the history of Windows

    Updates is not important.

    Proposal 4: -.

Some files may have become not saved, and you will need to register them again: -.

Click Start, choose run and in the run box, type regsvr32 wuaueng1.dll, click OK.

Do the same for the other files: -.

Welcome to the responses of Microsoft Windows Vista forums.

Usually the "Windows is unable to Check For Updates" error message produced always of the blocker window update connection attempt.

    1. first of all, please check that there is no any third-party firewall preventing Windows Update to communicate with "update.microsoft.com.

    2. check if Windows Firewall is blocking the update of Windows.

  • Windows update does not / blocked

Hello, updated windows 7 is glued on the search for updates, but never go further than that. I talk to press several times both times they have logged on to my computer and reset windows update, deleted the old pre data extraction and dns cache. they stop the service of update and rebooted. and stop and restart other services but do not remember what they all where. all this was supposed to get windows update works again. I had my computer on at night looking for updates and nothing happens several times. I shut down my computer and walked for hours and restarted windows update. I tried to close the automatic update and stop computer and turn it back on and nothing. the windows of the second person said if it doesn't work this time they gave me a technician level two but if I can fix it with a simple trick I or a reinstall of windows it self. I just ran SFC scan and he said he finds nothing wrong with windows files, so I have no idea what the cause of it being stuck on the research. It all started when I started my computer for a few months.

  • Windows Update is blocked/stands/the download. MSE is hooked on the download of the update. "Preparation set up windows." message on farm.

I have Windows Update problems , starting on 25/05/10.  I've updated from Windows XP Pro sp3 for Win7 Pro in January and had no problems until 4 days ago.

-The update says, there are updates available, but by clicking on the download button, it crashes just at 0%.

-MSE did the same at a standstill in the middle of updates

-Furthermore, I get the message 'preparation set up windows.  Do not turn off your computer"when I turned off the computer , but not when I turn it on.  I ended up leaving it and the computer is off when I wake up the next morning.  It does not when I turn on the computer.

-Win7 now has an icon in the task bar that says ' Windows is downloading updates (all 95%). ", but stated that, for 4 days, and nothing is downloaded.

-I have no update failed I can find in the history of the update.

-Convenience store has not fixed anything.

-Remove pending.xml and reboot.xml did not work.  There is a reboot.xml in the directory, but no pending.xml file.  Any attempt to remove reboot.xml (modification date 26/12/2009) generated the message: "You need permission SYSTEM to make changes to this file."  Attempts to delete the file in an administrator command prompt was an error: "access is denied".

-There is no restore points saved for me to come back to.  System Restore has not been configured properly and had no space to save a restore point (it does now).

-starting in safe mode works very well.  Restart in SafeMode to normal mode works great, but the problems persist.
