  If your motherboard has UEFI , you should be able to use the video card.  However, you might have to upgrade the power supply (PSU), also.  The current PSU is only 300W.  Most newer video cards require at least 400W to work properly.

  I bought a HP ZR2740w 27 "monitor, but apparently the desire cannot drive a very high resolution (2560 x 1440) monitor via HDMI port.

  What is the display max resolution that want support for an external monitor via its HDMI port?
  I looked for it in the product specification, but do not see it.

  Whatever the graphic subsystem as UMA, 740M, 750M, or 840 M. It HDMI v1.4 output supports up to resolution of 1920 × 1080 @ 60 Hz.

  Check with the manufacturer of the card. I suspect that it is a map of UEFI VBIOS, not inherited.  Your system does not support inheritance. An explanation of @old_geekster can be found here.

  Hey guys, according to diagnostic tests, the video memory in my nVidia Geforce Go 7900 GTX went wrong. I have a XPS M1710. I'm ready to buy another card or upgrade, but I can't seem to contact Dell without re - certify my guarantee - that seems a bit ridiculous. To make things worse, I just moved to the Australia of Czech Republic - and there is a bit of a language barrier. Unable to find one on eBay. And I said... it's hard to get in touch with Dell (here at least). Maybe I'll be stupid, but it's me nervous a little, and let me just go back to work. If anyone has ANY advice...   Since the minute I brought this laptop home a few days ago his had driver problems and toshiba service station was nothing more than a PITA, it has functioned and more than any other bloated software that comes with it... later, when 8.1 hoping that would fix a few probs, he made my situation worse driver...

  in any case, I removed everything via a clean install (but the recovery partitions etc. to keep without danger left and made a recovery disc) anyway even after installation clean I I still miss the high definition Audio device driver in Device Manager, I get an exclamation next to him...

  other pilots who were missing I had downloaded their drivers from the manufacture and they are all corrected accept this driver... I bekieve this is a realtek driver, that I went to the site and their latest driver did not help...

  can someone please help find a working driver please, im trying my best to not send it back, but if I can't get its drivers working, then the hell with him, im send Monday morning and ask for a refund...

  I found the drivers Win 8.1 on the Australian Toshiba driver page, but only pilots of Windows 8.

  In general I recommend you to download and install drivers 64-bit Windows 8.1 to address common since the driver Toshiba UE page because these drivers are missing on the Australian rider Web site.

  Not without replacing the motherboard together with care, which can have better graphics.

  There not removable/replaceable "graphics cards" in your laptop or any other.

  Graphic processing units are welded and the circuit is integrated in the motherboard.

  It would be cheaper your notebook trade in and get one with the graphic solution you want to defect removal and replacement of the motherboard.

  I'm new to this forum so I'm sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place he. I'm having a problem with my brand new laptop Toshiba L50-A-1FK (for specifications, see link below).

  Straight out of the box, the screen was incredibly grainy. While looking at photos or watching videos (using any application, or any source) the quality is simply unacceptable and far worse than my old pavilion g6, which has a few years on this model.

  I have it has searched the Internet for solutions and found no help. Drivers are updated, native resolution is defined, tried other drivers, other resolutions, tinkering with windows setings. When connected to tv via hdmi, its still the same if clearly is not a screen problem.

  So I contacted the provider, completely, and they sent me a replacement. Exactly the same thing! And I certainly is a brand new model, but the problem persists. Help, please!

  For me, it seems to be a fault with he intel chipset hd 4600 Graphics because it would be one that handles just pictures and videos (everything is not 3d) but I've updated it pilot as much as toshiba will allow me.

  If you would like more information, let me know. Help is hard to find for this model because it seems that hat it is sold only in the Netherlands (I'm originally from Ireland but completely [a Dutch company] have an Irish site).

  What exactly do you mean by grainy display?
  Do you mean the low s display resolution or brightness?
  Did you notice differences using the external monitor?

  The laptop was equipped with a screen of 16:9 TFT TruBrite HD supporting resolution 1366 x 768.
  The 1366 x 768 is possible max for this internal screen resolution and of course, you will notice a difference between the highest resolution 1366 x 768 and another supported by other internal screens.

  By the way: the laptop was equipped with the NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 740 M graphics card.
  The GPU from Intel that you mentioned above is just a part of the Intel internal graphic unit.

  My computer did not have a problem of graphics until a few months ago. I had a different problem before that. I got a blue screen error called THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED. Rolling back my drivers fixed this problem, but after a few days, I started to experience lots of lag of frames per second (FPS) so I used the NVIDIA experience of re application - update my drivers.

  Now I get a decent FPS, but my computer like a blue screen.

  AFAIK the GeForce GT740M carries the code name NVIDIA N14P-GV2 support 2 GB of video memory.

  There are two different architectures of the GPU:
  The GeForce GT740M * 64-bit * architecture calling "Kepler GK208' 980 Mhz reached base speed.
  The GeForce GT740M * 128 bit * architecture calling "Kepler GK107' speed reached base 810 Mhz

  If install you hardware diagnostic such as Sandra Sisoft or Everest Home Edition Tools, you need to get more details about construction hardware.

• Pavilion h8-1330z: Noisy Hot map video

  CPU has always been noisy but even more so during the month.  It is now about 5 years old.

  Open and clean the fans but found out it was the fan on the video card making all the noise.  My nephew of computer sauvy said I have a HP GeForce GT 630 Graphic Card - 2 GB DDR3 SDRAM - PCI Express x 16.  HP plug only States NVIDIA GeForce GT 630.  I've updated the drivers.  It is always noisy, sometimes grinding sounds. I also check the temperature with an app and it works @ 50 c... which I think is pretty hot.

  Is there a more efficient, less noisy and hot video card I can get to replace the current?  What SHOULD I replace it with the same?

  The Nvidia 600 series cards will work.

  The GT 740 should also work as your PC has a UEFI BIOS. Your version of BIOS is 8.xx. Your PC is in the Group of PC having the first implantation of a UEFI BIOS. So that's why I tell you one '740 should run'.

  You will need to check that your power supply can handle a GT 740. 740 requires a minimum 400 watts power.

  You will need to check "Secure Boot" is disabled in the BIOS and 'Legacy Boot' is enabled in the BIOS before installing the new graphics card. You are running Windows 7, so these two parameters must be in effect now.

  Also, you will need to uninstall the graphics drivers from Nvidia to address current before installing the new graphics card.

  Please note that upgrading the graphics card with a different model number card will cause any type of Recovery HP provided the factory, if you need to make one, to fail. Recovery of Microsoft options works.

  You will need to develop a new plan for the backup and restoration of your operating system and data in the event of catastrophic failure.

  The GeForce GT 740 M chip graphic (there are two different versions: GK107 and GK208 based on Kepler architecture) supports the PCI Express 3.0 and 2.0 bus architecture.

  The version 3.0 and 2.0 standard provide * complete backward compatibility * with the PCI Express motherboards for the broadest support.

  The new chip of GK208 is home to 384 shader, to further 980 MHz memory and 64-bit.
