GeForce GT M130

I'm confused.  I recently purchased an HDX-18 with DDR3 memory and a Geforce GT 130 M.  I installed GPU - Z to read the page on the GPU and it read my chip correctly as a 130M, but said that he was running in mode memory DDR2.  I was curious about it and went to the Nvidia site and found that there were two different specifications.  Who was the one who was GDDR3 and DD2.  The GDDR3 is obviously the best spec.  I called HP and the rep insisted to make me a part of GDDR3 and that he did not believe the results I got from GPU - Z.  It is possible that the wrong program read the chip, and I do not deny that.  But if the Web of Nvidia site lists two different specifications for the 130 M couldn't HP had made a mistake?  Now I was needed upgrade to the 130 M, because I chose DDR3 memory.  I expect increased performance for the extra money I paid.  I don't want to tamper with the phone, then how else can I resolve this divergence?

sp8472

After a few weeks, I called tech support again to confirm the GPU.  This time, they confirmed that it is indeed a DDR2 and a GDDR3 chip.  Then... GPU - Z was accurate.  It isn't a huge problem, because most of the people seem happy with their HDX18, but I stll feel vexed.  I've had better not find other owners later if they get the GDDR3 version with the same advertising.  Well.  For those of you interested, that it is a very detailed examination of the HDX16 with the 9600 M instead of the 130 M part part.  They also how performance between the two, but also comment on how GDDR3 chips perform easily better than the pieces of DDR2.  The site compares the performance of game through several games wth the GPU used.

  • Help the update driver GeForce 640 M

    Hello

    I use an iMac (21.5 inch, at the end of 2012) and I have a question for the graphics card, an NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 M 512 MB.

    For awhile now this iMac is has been rotating more slowly than anticipated, especially with some games. I regularly install software updates, but I was wondering what I need to also install the updates for the graphics card too? After reviewing the NVIDIA site it seems that drivers are available since June this year. However, it does not list any Mac OS among the available download types. There are different versions of windows, 32-bit Linux, 32-bit ARM and Linux 64-bit linux.

    So I let him or should I download an NVIDIA driver? If so, which?

    Thank you!

    I just need to know if I can switch to a card that allows me to use the mercury reading hardward no software.

    Momthetechie, welcome to the forum.

    If your motherboard has UEFI , you should be able to use the video card.  However, you might have to upgrade the power supply (PSU), also.  The current PSU is only 300W.  Most newer video cards require at least 400W to work properly.

  • HP Pavilion h8-1132sc: Geforce GTX 960 works do not with h8-1132sc model? (BIOS?)

    Hey.

    I just bought a new graphics card (Geforce GTX 960) for my computer. After replacing my old and my pc startup, I'm stuck at the blue HP screen, with 1 beep and then 3 beeps and nothing happens.

    I can google myself to, many people speak the BIOS (I upgraded to 7.12), but it still does not...

    Anyone?

    Taxbo, welcome to the forum.

    Your problem is, the 960 GTX requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  There is no way to upgrade the BIOS in the UEFI.  The last video cards that does not need UEFI are the GT of 640.

  • Omen J2W10AV #ABA: driver Nvidia laptop HP Omen - HP Support Assistant or Nvidia Geforce experience?

    Is there a difference between the graphic drivers downloaded through Nvidia GeForce experience or HP Support Assistant? Their version numbers do not match. I currently use GeForce experience to keep my graphics driver updated, but I also have a problem with how strong the fan may be when you play. I didn't know how hard it gets. If the driver supplied by HP is better suited for this laptop?

    Appreciate any help.

    @Kimikaze ,

    Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forums.  When going with drivers for all laptops always stick with links and tools from manufacturers.  The reason is that pilots have been designed for this application.  They can use a similar number as a GT750 however chip the chip built for laptop him more often were modified slightly to adapt to demand.

    Link at the bottom, so only use the drivers from HP and tools for your HP laptop.  Direct drivers from the chipset manufacturer may not be the same and ask questions for you.

    Thanks again for posting and have a great day.

    The device name and model:  HP 14-r002ne laptop.

    Question:  I have recently upgraded to Windows 10 pro (64-bit). I went on the site of HP support to download the latest Nvidia Geforce 820 m driver and software. Here is the link to this page;

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-14-R000-notebook-PC-series/6874538/model/7185495/drivers#Z7_3...

    I downloaded the latest driver available;

    Graphic driver NVIDIA (HD) (10.18.13.5384 Rev.A) (October 7, 2015)

    File name = (sp72727.exe). When I run the file, I get the following message:

    Prior to asking that question, I saw that someone else has the same problem with the file (sp72727.exe). But it has not received a response, only what I believe to be an automated response asking his information material which is irrelevant to this problem.

    Thank you.

    Ok. I just checked drivers HP my laptop support page and they just released the latest driver for Nvidia Geforce 820 m. If anyone reading this has the same problem, go download the new pack posted 13 October 2015.

  • Satallite X 200: Win 7 does not recognize cards SLI in Geforce Dual 8600MGT

    Hi all

    I have a Satallite X 200 part number: PSPBUA-00N007 it has dual Geforce 8600 M GT graphics cards.
    The laptop comes with Windows Vista (32 bit (I think).
    I recently formatted the hard drive and installed Win 7 x 64 bit.

    The problem I have is that Win 7 is not recognizing the two cards. In Device Manager, it lists only 1 card.
    I tried the latest Geforce of Nvidia drivers that support SLi... not good.

    I tried to install the graphics card Toshiba for 64 bit vista drivers... not good.
    _The pilots work, but recognizes only 1 map monkey. _

    I get no SLi option in the nvidia Control Panel.
    Everything leads me to believe that the cards are not recognized by the system as being a pair of SLi.

    I can't find the graphics drivers for win7 64 bit on Toshiba.

    Is there something that I am missing? Is there another driver I need to install?
    I even installed a Toshiba chipset driver pack for my computer Toshiba Web site.

    I am in a bind. Help, please! :)

    Hello

    As far as I know two different drivers for graphics cards have been published for the X 200 series.
    A pilot has been published only for the models with a single graphics chip and the other driver was released for X 200 series equipped with two GPUS (SLI)

    Thus, for example the v7.15.11.5664 of 64 bit Vista driver is released only for SLI models.

    Since there is no other driver Win 7 on Toshiba page, I think that the only possible solution is the use of the driver of nvidia page.
    http://www.nvidia.de/download/index.aspx?lang=en

    The laptop supports dual NVIDIA GeForce 8600 M GT graphics with NVIDIA SLI technology
    So try the nVidia Driver.
    GeForce-> GeForce 8 M series (laptops)-> GeForce 8600 M GT-> Win 7 64 bit

  • Pavilion 15-ab208ur: frequency of vRAM Geforce 940 m default

    Hi all

    I hold with my new laptop Pavilion 15-ab208ur.

    Now I search the video subsystem. It consist of the Intel HD Graphics 520 and Nvidia GeForce 940 M with 4 GB DDR3 vRAM.

    I am running the tests and see results below the Nvidia Geforce 840 M with 2 GB DDR3 vRAM.

    I did some research and found this in my laptop vRAM running at 900 Mhz (1800 Mhz effective) but as far as I know, it should work at 1000 Mhz (2000 Mhz as http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-940M.138027.0.html).

    Is only for version 4 GB or 2GB version has even downclocked vRAM?

    Best regards

    Alexey.

    Will answer my question by myself.

    It seems that HP blocking the BIOS settings in order to avoid users to make Damien to laptops by setting the BIOS settings invalid.

    There are no options to manually enable these parameters without changing ROM BIOS of the laptop computer using specific tools.
