Pavilion 15-ab208ur: frequency of vRAM Geforce 940 m default

Hi all

I hold with my new laptop Pavilion 15-ab208ur.

Now I search the video subsystem. It consist of the Intel HD Graphics 520 and Nvidia GeForce 940 M with 4 GB DDR3 vRAM.

I am running the tests and see results below the Nvidia Geforce 840 M with 2 GB DDR3 vRAM.

I did some research and found this in my laptop vRAM running at 900 Mhz (1800 Mhz effective) but as far as I know, it should work at 1000 Mhz (2000 Mhz as http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-940M.138027.0.html).

Is only for version 4 GB or 2GB version has even downclocked vRAM?

Best regards

Alexey.

Will answer my question by myself.

It seems that HP blocking the BIOS settings in order to avoid users to make Damien to laptops by setting the BIOS settings invalid.

There are no options to manually enable these parameters without changing ROM BIOS of the laptop computer using specific tools.

  • Pavilion 15-ab208ur: is HP has plans to support the customers of amateur level?

    Hi all

I use a new computer laptop 15-ab208ur flag and a little frustrated that it has limited options in the BIOS and restricted parameters in the native software of HP.

I would like to get complete control of the material that I paid for, but unfortunately it is not true at the moment.

It would be great to see HP Support help certain tools of monitoring/tuning for the hardware components that allow me to control material (temperature, frequency, etc.).

For example, I raised a question about the frequencies of vRAM here:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-video-display-and-touch/GeForce-940m-default-VRAM-frequency/TD...

I have to use tools like MSI Afterburner, GPU - Z, etc. to monitor my laptop.
It will be nice to have the same characteristics in Support of HP for Assistance or HP CoolSence tools.

HP has plans to add support for amateur-level clients to their software side of laptops?

    Best regards

    Alexey.

    Hello

You can move to another level and pay more such as machines of class work station or some machines TRUE games or you can build yourself a laptop BUT for computers laptops normal manything a BIOS locked in. Sellers (not only HP) must lock it with a very simple reason: they don't want users new machines BREAK and return.

Portable senior level are for a Pro like you.

  • Pavilion dv6-6113tx frequency 5 GHz wireless network has not detected

    Hello

My HP Pavilion dv6-6113tx Entertainment Notebook PC does not detect the signals of frequency of 5 GHz. I tried to verify my update of the software of wireless network and it is also up to date. I asked my colleague to help, they suggested me to attach a double external dongal wireless broadband. Is this the only solution? Or is it possible to replace the network adapter with a double band if this machine does not have this one. Please help me, I'm really annoyed with my computer laptop wifi. He works with 2.4 GHz wifi signal, ut due to problem of interference as indicated by the internet provider that doesn't have the right speed and speed fluctuates a lot.

    Pending a possitive response,

    Thank you

    Hey @arbab92 ,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you're looking for more information about the 5 GHz wireless connectivity computer laptop dv6.

The adapter supplied with your laptop is not a dual band card and does not support the frequency of 5 GHz.

Generally (RFI) Wireless interference can be solved by changing the channel on your router wireless. The default value for most router manufacturers is channel 6, which runs on 2,437 GHz. You can change the channel on your router to channel 1 wireless (2.412 GHz) or 11 (2,462 GHz) away from the bloated channel 6 if there are several wireless networks and devices in your area.

If changing the channel is not an option, or does not resolve the problem, you can buy a wireless network for your laptop adapter. The only 5 GHz compatible card that is compatible with your laptop is the Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230. The part number for this is 631956-001. You should be able to order it on the HP part Surfer Web site or third party like Amazon or eBay resellers.

You can see how to install this map on page 67 of the HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC - Maintenance and Service of Guide.

I hope this is the information you're looking for.

  • E5 - 573G laptop 56RG breaks down when you try to play a game with the Nvidia GeForce 940 M processor.

Whenever I try to play a game using the Nvidia card on the laptop Aspire E5 56RG - 573 G computer goes to a blue screen and gives the error "Video_Schedular_Internal_error" before restarting.

All the games that I tried to run by using the processor 940 m 7200LE crashed the PC.

Minecraft, Star Trek Online, dungeons and Dragons Online and Neverwinter all crash as soon as the game is loading all the graphics. All the games work very well using the processor 5500 on-board Intel HD graphics but way less detailed than the 940 m from Nvidia is capable of.

I've updated to the latest Nvidia drivers twice now (Oct and Nov references) with the help of installs clean. I also tried the Nvidia driver on the support page from Acer for the serial number of this PC. I've updated to the last update of the bios on the page of Support as well. Again, the PC crashes when you try to play a game using the Nvidia graphics processor.

My operating system is windows 10.

Most of the error information I could find said it is a driver problem or I have a faulty video card. Any suggestion or help would be appreciated.

Cerealkiddo on Nvidia forums has found a real solution to the problem.

    1. download MSI Afterburner.

    2. change the base to-13 clock and clock from memory to-15.

    3. save in a profile and apply the changes.

Make sure you only keep afterburner running everything at stake.

This is Underclocks not GPU slightly and stops the BSOD hangs.

I played Skyrim for about 4 hours now maxed out graphic with map selected Nvidia and he collapsed once, while before this fix, it would break the pc after 2 minutes of play on any parameter using the nvidia card.

Keep Afterburner running everything at stake. I turned it off to test and games went immediately to crashing after a few minutes of play. He turned back and was able to play games once again without any problems.

  • HP Pavilion Slimline s5755a product # QP310AA using Geforce GT 610

My stock graphics (Radeon HD 6450) had died. When I turned on the computer monitor was receiving no signal, but when I plugged into the onboard graphics without the Radeon screen lights up.

I know now that the graphics card is smaller than the classic full sizer with single port HDMI and DVI card. I wonder if I can replace the Radeon with a Geforce GT 610, which has VGA, DVI and HDMI. It seems more important in the image, but the question is, he enters the slimline 5755?

If you would be grateful if anyone has the answer to this.

    Thank you

    Hello:

The cards are essentially in the same power range, so I don't see a problem with it.

Make sure the card you get is delivered with low profile brackets.

Something like this... If you look at the pictures, the last of them shows that it comes with low profile brackets.

You remove the large bracket of the card and replace by the low-profile support included.

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=9SIA24G28N4759

If you do not use a VGA connection, you can remove the video card VGA connector and simply use a low profile for HDMI and DVI ports support.

  • HP Pavilion P6 - 2007 c: Nvidia (EVGA) Geforce GTX 750 Ti

I just got this card and installed when you first start up everything that I heard were a series of beeps with the only thing shown is the escape of press for the start menu screen before it goes black, I have FRIEND 7.13 bios I looked carefully and amazon said that this card would work based on the power supply and the PCI slot any help would be apreciated and I really don't want to have to return this card.

    GTotty, welcome to the forum.

750ti GTX requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  There is no way to update your BIOS in the UEFI.

  • Two monitors for the HP Pavilion Elite HPE with a Nvidia GeForce GT420

I currently have a HP 2211 monitor x and I have no connection problem which, however, I recently bought a HP s2331a I have bad to configure the monitor because it does not recognize the monitor is there something I am missing or just may not know how to connect the 2nd monitor. Please help me.

Mike, thanks for the clarification and the model of the computer.

There is a DVI - I and HDMI port on the computer.  You probably have to use an adapter to plug one of the monitors.  The key is to ensure that the drivers and software for both screens are installed on the computer.  Otherwise, it will never work properly.

Also, here's a guide that should help you get properly connected.

    Good luck!

  • Looking for a block of POWER 500 ~ 550W that fits HP pavilion 500-023w desktop

I bought a Dynex 520w ATX PSU for HP pavilion 500-023w.  This power supply is about 1.5 cm longer than the original and just, it does not in my computer.  It is too big.

Previously, I had Thermaltake TR2 430w PSU.  This is of same size as the original power supply. But it won't last even 3 months. IDK, maybe it's not enough for geforce 2 650.

I'm looking for a PSU that adapts to the 500-023w Pavilion and able to run 650 geforce.

Please can someone recommend some PSU?

After watching the dynex 520was reference, it is noted that it is the depth 6.3 "on this case. What you asked has a power supply with only 5.5 "deep. These meet your requirement.

Rosewill 530W or 630W, as these two are depth 5.5 ".

No OCZ in the range of 500W which is depth 5.5 "

Corsair 500w 5.5 "depth, the Corsair CX600 might be a good choice, but it is sold out at this time.

Any of these will provide a GTX 650 card needs. I love the Rosewill 630W. It will draw only what suits him.

  • HP ENVY - 17 t Touch mobile: slow performance HP Pavilion laptop problems

    Good afternoon:

You see, around a month ago I bougth this laptop to a HP USA Store, these are my specs:

    Windows 10 Home 64-bit

    Intel core i7 5500U Dual core processor 2 .4GHz + NVidia Geforce 940 2 GB graphics card

17.3 inch touch screen Full HD

    16 GB of RAM

So I have this massive problem since the first day. This laptop is so slow that it same crash when I try to open a file from a USB (and for the record, my usb memory is good) so you can imagine my fight with her. I don't know why this is happening. Hope to hear from all kinds of information that can help me through this.

  • No video signal from HP Pavilion monitor m7560n

HP Pavilion m7560n, THE graphic card NVIDIA GeForce, monitor HP 2159 m, Windows XP.

Screen went black with the message "no signal". I tried the monitor and cable on another computer, it worked, this isn't a problem with the monitor or the cable. The VGA connector and graphics is integrated in the motherboard, so I can't try another video card. TV-out connectors, isn't the PC so I can't use TV as a monitor. Is there another option, how to continue with the debugging before replacing the motherboard?

    Thank you.

Most of these cards in PCIe x 16 v2.0 should work on your computer as long as it requires a 300 watt power supply system power or less. The 2 x 0 series is the oldest, while the 6 x 0 series is the most recent. Cards are plug-and-play... but you need to install a device driver for the card. The HP BIOS should automatically detect the card and disable the integrated graphics card. If you still have problems after the installation of a card, we will have to look for other issues.
