General material

My continuous ST2220L monitor to go into the power saving Mode, but no strike it will bring up. I have to do a hard reboot to get the monitor to work.

Any suggestions?

Hi cocoam,

You can wake up the computer using the button walk / stop, the issue seems to be with the desktop system power management settings. Try activating Wake on USB support in the system (BIOS) configuration (if available). I tried looking for the steps to change the option in the BIOS of your system, however, could not find any documentation on the HP BIOS. You can contact HP for the manual on the evolution of your specific desktop system BIOS settings. I suggest make you some changes in the Windows 7 operating system on your computer. You can try to disable the "allow the device to wake the computer" setting and turn it on again after you restart the computer. You can follow the steps below:

Click on Start -> right click computer -> click on Manage -> click on Device Manager -> expand Of Bus USB controllers and right-click on the root USB Hubs and click power management and uncheck the allow the device to the computer. Click OK and restart the system.

Upon reboot, you can follow the steps above again and enable more support and restart your system and see if it helps.

Alternatively, you can try to disable the USB selective suspend setting by following the steps below:

Click on Start -> Control Panel -> hardware and sound -> Power Options -> change plan settings for the active power plan-> that change advanced power settings -> Expand USB settings and disable the setting of selective suspension of USB -> click OK and restart the computer.

Note: The above shared steps are applicable to the Windows 7 operating system generic steps. For specific troubleshooting system, you can try to contact HP support.

I hope this helps.

    HI RJJE,

I don't know exactly what you're asking when you say "the result to file would be about 1 second or so that would include general material time?, ' but what it looks like you're asking, is if the file is written to update all about 1 second. If that's what you mean, then the answer is about Yes.

In your acquisition process, you need to specify the sampling frequency and the number of samples. so if you use this as an acquisition continues, then each iteration of the loop there will be 1000 samples that will be processed by the average stage, while an average value will be written to your file. This process will be repeated until you stop the task. This means that between the time readings Signal Express 1000 samples of your PC RAM until he wrote that value to your average file, it would be 1 second over the amount of time it takes Signal Express to retrieve only the data from RAM PC as well as the time it takes the average work to process these samples of 1000 plus the amount of time it takes actually to write this average value in the file.

If you are looking at a time between iterations to be about 1 second, then these other values will be very low in comparison. They are really dependent on the speed at which your processor can handle these other functions in your task.

BlueScreenView will allow you to read and publish information if necessary minidump.
HINT check the 'cause' however keep in mind that the given driver as being the "Cause" could have been
pushed to the fault by something else - this is especially true if the 'cause' is a default Windows driver

  • VMware Fusion 5 and Boot Camp 4

    Hello

I experienced performance problems in programs related to the guest operating system (Windows 7) 3D in VMware Fusion 5 (inside OS X Lion mountain). I had to install Boot Camp 4 to do my job.

Could you please tell me if I'll be able to use my material directly when I start my disk to Boot Camp with VMware Fusion?

I would like to know if install VMware Tools don't mean anything?

I still can use my Boot Camp separately from time to time (with complete equipment of available resources).

I running everything maxed-out MacBook Pro with the Retina display.

    Thank you

Could you please tell me if I'll be able to use my material directly when I start my disk to Boot Camp with VMware Fusion?

Generally material only between a normal file based Virtual Machine and execution of the partition Boot Camp as a Virtual Machine's hard disk.  With a normal file base Virtual Machine to the default hard drive is virtual and with execution of the partition Boot Camp in a Virtual Machine uses the physical volume of the physical disk.  The rest is no interpreted differently, whatever issues you work around native-boot will always be a problem when the Virtual Machine running the partition Boot Camp in a VM as if it was a normal file-based.

I would like to know if install VMware Tools don't mean anything?

Usually without however you really have no choice but to install VMware Tools running the Boot Camp partition in a Virtual Machine or WPA/OPA will be an ongoing problem when switching back.  VMware Tools will manage the permutation of the WPA/OPA database between two environments after Windows and Microsoft Office (if installed) are enabled in each environment.

I still want to be able to use my Boot Camp separately from time to time (with means complete material available).

You will be able to do.

  • Same material, cannot vmotion.  Stops at 13% with a general system error occurred: invalid argument.

I have four IBM (now Lenovo) x 3550 M4 (7914AC1) hosts that have been purchased by groups of two, several months apart.  Those purchased at the same time can vmotion between them but they cannot vmotion with those bought later OR with one of our older infrastructure (Nehalem IBM level - x 3650 M3, M3 x 3550, etc.).  The most recent M4 can talk to the fine old hosts.  Can I migrate invited powered down.

VMware support was not able to give any help on this matter and have lost instead of my time (including do not contact me for weeks and also current exit without changing to another engineer; manager failed in this regard, too).

I pulled the material apart - I can say it's all the same material (looks the same, has the same numbers and RUF).  The machines were configured the same.

Firmware isn't exactly the same thing on the material but is VERY close.  I have one of each generation updated with the same Xpresspacks of IBM, and so except for the image diagnosis of pre-start, I think that they are the same.  I'll check this again once then.

VMware drivers are the same.  They were not.  They are now.  I got 5.5 latest drivers for everything that I can find a driver for (including cards CF - using the driver Qlogic native VMware NICS (igb); approx 10 GB (not being use IGB but fact still); the provider CIM, MegaRAID controller.  I used VUM update their last 5.5 (standard license) with all the patches.  vCenter is a 5.5 vCSA was last updated.  I went into the BIOS settings side-by-side and ensured that everything is the same.  I did the same thing with everything I could think of in vSphere (found about 5 differences, but nothing fixed).

Management is the network of vMotion.  It's on the same VLAN as one of those guests are on (the clients are spread over 5 different VLAN).  VMware support put in place a different vSwitch for vMotion with no luck.

The symptoms are the same regardless of their orientation (old to the new, new to the former) and don't care about the type of virtual machine (Windows 2008R2, CentOS 5.5, RHEL 6.7) or at the level of the material (VM 10 or 7 VM).  It also fails if it is standard or high priority or if it is with the web client or the Windows client.

The place with the most characteristic symptom that doesn't show anywhere in googleland except to the pastebin is in the file /scratch/log/hostd.log of the host.  The host that sends the guest throws a vmsvc.vm error VMotionCmdCb [1461010590046389] 'a': error - 6: invalid argument.

If anyone else has seen this (obviously someone because it is on pastebin) and understood, please enlighten me.

    Thank you!

    Jeff

  • General questions about the material

    Hello

    1. it is true that the new power supply uses only 70% of its power? If so, after a few years, how many % of its power it wil use 60, 50%!

    2. I know that viruses and the power supply crash problems wil and sometimes every time reboot the computer.

can also problems of memory each time restarting the computer?

the same question I ask for the processor and the video card.

also, I want to know if the hard drive has a behavior too also.    Wil just Yes or no will suffice.

    Thank you

    Johan

Yes, everything you listed can cause a BSOD, or reset, but reboot is perhaps most often a power supply problem.
I'd be inclined to suspect the PSU power supply, HARD drive, motherboard, processor and RAM (in that order),
    with random reboot.
    Virus/Malware can also launch reboots.
Graphics cards would more often cause BSOD or TDR errors, but random restart is possible.

Power supplies have abilities different, usually measured in Watts/amperes. How much of this
the capability is used by the machine in percent is determined by the requirements of the power of the components
    in the machine.
Dedicated graphics cards are often the component with the higher power requirement.
The processor also uses a lot of power, and in the absence of a dedicated graphics card would have the
power requirements more. The other power requirements of components are quite small.

Power supplies have an efficiency rating, with a performance of over 80% is desirable.
Power supplies some of the ability to lose over time, but the current amount of the lost production is not
drama short term (first five years?), at least not with good quality food.
Cheap power supplies are another story. The can't count on him for reliability and are not
a good option on machines that are often under heavy load - machines games for example.
An additional 50-100W on requirements minimum psu is commonly used on gaming machines
    as the assurance of stability.
If a power supply fails it may damage other components.

  • Satellite M40X - material works does not after re-installation

    Hello

I just reinstalled my Satellite M40X with a WXP Pro. For some reason all the edge
hardware does not work and it is still impossible to install it manually.
    Does not not to date:
    W - Lan (not shown)
Controllers USB (although my usb mouse works fine)
all of the controllers listed in the list of material

I tried to download the drivers from the hp toshiba but nothing worked
I could not find the drivers for the controllers in general.

If you have suggestions please tell me

    Best regards

    Jan

My first question; why don t you use the recovery CD?
My second question: WinXP Pro contains SP2?

Hey dude, or you have installed the fake software, drivers or / and updates are missing.

First install all updates from Microsoft and secondly if you install divers manually do not forget that you do it in the right order!
Did you check the Toshiba driver page exactly? You will find installation instructions. Have you followed this guide line?

I thik you know now what to do.

  • Is upgrade material on Satellite L655-183 possible?

    Hello

I want to know if I can plug a new processor, or may be a graphics card in my laptop Satellite L655-183.

    Thank you.

    Hello

In General, these updates is not supported - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm
On some models of CPU, upgrade is possible, but it can be quite risky.

Supported upgrade is RAM and HARD drive.

Problem is that laptops have a specific design and use some cooling system for this hardware platform. Hardware produce little heat and the material must be properly cooled. More powerful hardware will produce more heat and can result in property damage or overheating.

If you want to have more performance I recommend to increase the RAM to the maximum level and exchanging the HDD with SSD is much faster. Two upgrades are without any risk to your machine and you can do it alone.

I did it with my machine and I'm really happy now Mr. Windows (Win7) starts in 30 seconds.

  • Finished samples timed material vs single-point: different speed?

    Hi all

Although I had several questions about this request before that separately have been resolved, there is one last thing that remains difficult.

    Shortly:

My application acquires data from 2 analog and synchronous inputs on 2 channels of analog output.

There is a trigger stop set on a PFI-pipe with a single switch. To make of this

I had to switch from single-point over acquition timed work material.

This set works very well when I read not less then a 100 samples once with a sampling of 1000 Hz. frequency (when I go below a sample of 100 to read--> E-200279)

Ideally, I would like to read about 10 samples with a sampling frequency of 1000 Hz.

However, using single-point timed equipment acquisition I can easily do that without a problem. Even just reading

a single sample once with a sampling frequency of 1000 Hz does not have a problem. But impossible to use the block of relaxation of reference as a signal to stop with this setting!

    Question:

For me, there are two solutions, but so far I could not work on one of them:

    (1) build a stop trigger in an single point of timed material acquisition

    (2) change something in the acquisition of finished so that I can read faster.

Any suggestions, what causes the difference between the two speeds to be able to read the data and a way to solve it?

    Thank you

    Mark

    Mark,

I mocked how I think I would like to address the issue and tied it to the top.  The general idea is that we use HWTSP for our analog I/o and counter looking edges on our signal "stop".  Each iteration of the loop, we check if we saw the stop signal.  If we have, then we write zero for the output channels and stop the loop.  If this isn't the case, write us the data of your comments, we have calculated.  I've added some comments on the block diagram that I hope are useful.  I have currently no any material of series E share, so it may not work properly out of the box, but I thought it would point you in the right direction.

    I offer this precaution:

Windows is not a real-time operating system.  Therefore, it may take the liberty to give as much CPU time to other processes or applications as he likes.  As a result, it is likely that you will not miss a few samples (IE, your loop will not go faster hardware issues are examples of clock).  I configured DAQmx must return a warning you when this happens.

    Hope that helps,

    Dan

  • My computer won't let me download a cd of new material. Said hardware has not passed windows logo testing.

I want to add an adapter usb to my computer to watch movies on my TV. It came with the software, however the download access is denied.

When you install the hardware in your computer (almost always), you must install a 'pilot', which is just software that tells your operating system (Windows, in your case) how to communicate with the hardware.

Microsoft has a program she calls 'the logo test' which enables a company to label its products with the Windows logo.  Not every small manufacturer wants to go through the load of this test program, but if a company is trustworthy - and Trendnet is - then the fact that their products have not passed official testing procedures from Microsoft doesn't mean that their products will not work with Windows.  This is why you can usually ignore a message to the effect that a product has not passed Windows logo testing - if you also a pretty good reason to believe that the product will work.

So just follow the instructions supplied with the adapter installation, put on the CD and install the software.  But the installation of this card is only the first part of your trip.

Although I've not set my TV to watch streaming video from Netflix or Amazon, as I understand it, you need a TV that can be connected directly to the Internet.  In other words, you cannot download and save a copy of the video complete on your computer and then read it from your computer to the TV.  That's why's called it "streaming" video - you're not supposed to save a copy to your computer, but rather to look at the 'stream '.

Thus, Amazon said, "the easiest way is to connect your TV to your router or modem broadband (DSL/Cable, for example) with an ethernet cable.»

A lot of people with a connection broadband has a router, which has generally 4 Ethernet Sockets (and perhaps a point of both wireless access).  If you had one, you would just connect a "vacant" Ethernet between the TV and a cable to your router.  You, unfortunately, have a router with a single Ethernet Jack (I know you thought it as a modem, but it's almost certainly a modem and a router inside a box of Physics).  So, as you acknowledged, you don't connect your TV to the cable modem because it would need to disconnect your computer.

    You have two choices.

You can buy a cheap Ethernet switch (e.g. this one) which would connect you to port on the back of the modem cable and then connect your computer and TV to two of the other ports on the switch.  This would probably work without having to make adjustments to configuration on your cable modem - but in the past, some customers wanted cable ISPS to pay extra for each computer connected to the modem cable and makes it a little difficult to so add connections on your own.  I don't think that is always the case, but because I don't have cable - especially not the same cable ISP like you - I don't know about you.

Or you can buy a second Ethernet adapter of your computer (which is what you did) and then set up the "Internet connection sharing" (ICS) on your computer so that the TV can connect to the Internet through your computer.  Because you have already purchased this material, you probably want to set up ICS.

Although there are many websites that explain how to configure ICS, because XP is becoming obsolete quickly, many of the older sites are more fully functional, including one who should have been better to show your situation (sharing a connection to local network to the Internet with another connection of LAN)

Use the Network Setup Wizard.  Go to network connections (start > run > ncpa.cpl > OK) and click on "Set up a small business network or home."

    The 3rd screen looks like this--> http://screenshots.modemhelp.net/screenshots/Windows_XP/Network_Setup_Wizard/03_%28directly_connected%29.shtml

Choose the first choice.  Even if your computer connects 'via a residential gateway"(your cable modem/router) the"other computers"(TV) will connect"through this computer."

The next screen should look like this--> http://screenshots.modemhelp.net/screenshots/Windows_XP/Network_Setup_Wizard/03_%28directly_connected%29/LAN.shtml

If you have correctly installed the USB adapter, you should see a line like the one that was highlighted in the image (it's your modem cable connection) and a second line describes your connection to the LAN USB.

If the wizard does not recognize the USB adapter as a connection to the local network, it will not let you continue (click on the 'Next' button on this screenshot, where there is only one LAN connection, and you'll see what happens).

Assuming that the wizard allows you to continue to do so.  Your "computer name" is already filled in. Do not change. You can add a description if you wish.  When you get to the screen 'file and printer sharing', you can disable this feature (you're not going to share files between your computer and the TV).

Confirm on the summary screen that "Internet" is through your "Local network connection" and that the wizard correctly selected your USB adapter as the "connecting to your network" (this screen shot shows that the connection to the Local network is connected to 'your network' because the Dial-Up connection is connected to the Internet)--> http://screenshots.modemhelp.net/screenshots/Windows_XP/Network_Setup_Wizard/03_%28directly_connected%29/Dial-Up/04--2.shtml (click on the scroll bar to) see the screen shot in all)

When you complete the wizard, you should be able to connect your TV to your USB adapter and it should work (Yes, there is a lot of "desirable"; good luck).
