Generate PDFS on Unix with reports 11 g

I have a new installation of Oracle 11 g 2 on Solaris 10 reports. I'm a newbie regarding Unix. All my reports are reports Oracle 10 g 2 running on the Windows installation. I am running reports from forms using Run_Report_Object, generate a PDF file. These reports will work perfectly under Windows, but the PDF that is created on the Unix machine is all messed up. What it takes to put in place Oracle 11 g on Unix reports to generate a PDF file?

I found that it is a bug with oracle Reports 11.1.2.1.0.

I reinstalled cal exec and made sure he like all current updates. The only thing we have changed recently installed DAQmx-9, 4. I drove back to DAQmx - 9.3 that hasn't helped. If the default ratio is defined in pdf format, no report is generated. It will not open as any report earlier. It gives an error message saying the path is incorrect file is corrupt. The path is correct and the old pdf open just fine with Adobe (version 8 standard). Someone knows something similar or has any advice about what to watch next. Thanks for any help!

Solution: the latest revision of JAVA has been altered causing the error. Remove and reinstall a clean version of JAVA and fixed the problem.

  • Oracle-reports of generated pdf-report on a BLOB storage

    Hey ppl,

    I have this requirement:

I essentially generate a report of Jdev using a remote servlet call to reports of the oracle, which generates the PDF for me very carefully and store it locally. The problem is immediately put this on the DB as a BLOB once the report is generated. I know how to store the pdf as a BLOB on the DB. I know how to make the call to oracle-reports and generate my pdf. What I don't know, first is sequentially generate the local pdf report and that which was generated once continue to store it on my DB.

I want it to be done in the context of a single request. As in the entire process must be completed by a cycle. I don't want to keep some kind of end of day procedure that inserts in the comics at the end of the day.

As soon as the report was requested by the user, I want the PDF (which is generated by the reports) will also be stored on the DB.

My problem (which I'm sorry has been repeated already 2wice above) is that I have basically lose control once redirected through the servlet to the call of the report. There is no way I can load Jdev, side reports, that the pdf was generated and now must be kept on the Pb, because I lost the session context by redirecting to a different servlet.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

    See you soon
    K

    Hello

its a while I ago one looked at Oracle reports, however, I think that the mechanism of the event is quite complex to achieve

I want it to be done in the context of a single request.

Which means that if reports Oracle locks, the user session follows.

As in the entire process must be completed by a cycle.

Unfortunately, you can't control how long reports run, which means that there is no sense in the judgment of the lifecycle of page for this

I don't want to keep some kind of end of day procedure that inserts in the comics at the end of the day.

Very well, but I remember there is a complete riding contest in reports which would allow you to have the report server Oracle trigger download

So, I think, the architecture, so that I would go is:

    -user request report
    -report generates PDF output
-reports will be mailed to DB
-reports_processing table contains the Userid and reports ID more Pavilion update when report is done
-If you use JSF, you can use af:poll to check frequently that the report is finished.

    This here can help: http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/reports.html

  • Generate PDFS without embedded ICC

    Hello

I am trying to create a file for IngramSpark without any embedded ICC profile.  Their PDF Analyzer keep telling me this:

PDF CONTAINS ICC COLOR PROFILES: LSI application files with no color profile assigned. Please convert all colors in shades of gray to black and white images or CMYK for color images and remove all color profiles to correct this problem.

The images are all shades of grey in the book. What are the parameters/procedure I need to generate the PDF from Indesign CS6 to avoid this problem? I'm generating the PDF in

    PDF / X - 1a: 2001

as I've read elsewhere that it should work better, like PDF / X - 1a: 2001 is not 'supposed' to carry the ICC profiles. But so far, no luck... I did the file to PDF / X-3: 2002, but keep the files get rejected, too.

If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it. I-> close <-to get my books out and it's a crushing stumbling.

    Thank you.

Unfortunately, after reading IngramSpark File Authoring Guide and s PDF checklist (see file attachment), it would seem that IngramSpark uses a very obsolete DeviceCMJN single workflow. Modern best practices PDF edition today print stream to use PDF/X-4 with imagery left in its original color with ICC profiles and without any flattening of transparency (it is our recommendation to Adobe). To make things worse, IngramSpark is not even specify what CMYK print with (there are a number of different CMYK color spaces and if you convert or otherwise prepare for evil, your colors will be bad.

Which is contradictory in their specifications, it is that he supports the use of PDF / X - 1a: 2001 and PDF / X-3: 2002 although each of these files formats of contradict their rules otherwise. PDF / X - 1a: 2001 is totally DeviceCMJN, but it doesn't have a color ICC output intent profile. PDF / X-3: 2002 not only has an ICC output intent output profile color intent but it also allows (and encourages) use of imagery with imagery of tag-as well as CMYK ICC color profile.

If IngramSpark is rejecting a PDF/X-1 file because of color profiles, it's the color output intent profile, they could very easily ignore. And clearly PDF/X-3 will not reach their expectations.

To completely avoid all ICC profiles and get only CMYK, use the export profile of high quality printing and change the Policy of Inclusion of profile in the Panel out to not include profiles (from the default include profiles of sources containing the tag) and the Color Conversion to convert to Destination (preserve numbers) in this same panel. This is absolutely not recommended, but it's (most likely) going with them must.

You should consider a different printer given their fairly obsolete workflow, blame the customer and practices.

  • How to generate PDF and CHM of the command line files in windows?

I'm trying to set up a PC to build certain documents during the night. I was looking for a way to get from framemaker to generate PDF and CHM files through a command line in windows? How this is done with FrameMaker 12

    Thanks for the help

    Alex

I have the pdf part of this work now. Make a jsx which generates the PDF file via the doc. Save(). And when the pdf file is generated the script then shut down of FrameMaker via the application. Close method.

I then just copy the script in FrameMaker autorun dir and start FrameMaker to get the pdf genenerated.

Now, I'm trying to do something with the chm filegeneration. But I can't find anything on how to get FrameMaker to make the extend script CHM files. Is there anyone who have some good places to look for that?

  • Generate a binary sequence with the NI USB-6008

    Hi all

I'm new to LabView and I am trying to generate a binary sequence with a box NI USB-6008. The sequence, I'm currently generate is a counter of 5 bits, i.e. 00000 00001 00010, 00011... 11110, 11111 placing each bit in a different digital IO of the of the 6008 NOR, so that I can use the County as the bits of selection in a decoder/demux.

I managed to simulate the binary sequence and produce a graphical interface, but I have not found how to generate the sequence of bits with the NI 6008.

Totally, I'd appreciate any help you could provide. Thank you very much.

    Hi JosephM,

Good Afternooon and I hope your well today.

I just tested the code on a 6008 and also released the above code is very complex - I was for some reason any fixed on using Boolean tables.

Please see the attached code, in LabVIEW 8.6.

Mind you, I have configured the task as a channel for all lines. i.e. digital single I spent, is the task value should apply to all channels selected in the entry. So if you select only port0/Dev8/$line0 for example, the DAQmx driver will examine the LSB of the digital and work so $line0 must be true from the false. It will NOT update all other channels. So when I select line0:4 - it will update the first 5 lines (bits) in digital. As the code generates a number from 0-32 he emotional generates 00000 to 11111.

I hope this finds you well and sorry for the first post!

If I could come with the OS discs for the thing, I think I'd do a new install of Windows 7.

I have a pdf very complicated with many links. I need to link individual file words that are in a series of folders. How can I connect to a folder instead of just a file?

If you set the link to the PDF files, then use the command "Go to a page view", then link to the specific location in the file that you want to run when the user clicks on the link. If you have a link to other file formats, then use the command "open a file". Remember that these links are relative (if the other file is on the same drive as the source file), so if you move the PDF file you need to move these files and folders with him or the links are broken.

I have DC Pro of Acrobat, pdf Edit comes with this package?

Change PDF is not a separate thing, but it is a function included in Acrobat Pro. If you are prompted to buy, you are probably not using Acrobat Pro, but stuck on Acrobat Reader.
