  As you can see, I guess that the ID of the cell is the BID (is this correct?) If so, how can I now get the TRAY? For example, GPRSInfo.GPRSCellInfo.getLAC () method note exists in CDMAInfo.

  The concepts are a bit different.   QUOTE (the Base Station ID) is probably more BSIC (Base Station Identification Code).  In all cases, the SID (System ID) is the highest in the hierarchy and bid is the lowest with the ID of the network (ED) in the middle.

• Tecra A10 - refurbished - cannot get it connected to my home network

  I just got this Tecra A10-104 refurbished Laptop... before I take this back I ask here in case where theres something I missed as I am unable to get it connected to my home network.

  I use a Belkin wireless router that has 2 main (LAN) directly connected PC and another PC connected wireless.

  He sees the network, but no matter what I try just does not connect.

  What I've done so far (read before suggesting things I've already tried):

  Reconfigured routers WPS to the shared key system.

  Ensured that the wireless adapter's parameters defined at 20 / 40 Hz (automatic)

  Restarted the router, cable modem & laptop several times

  Laptop wireless button is turned on.

  FN + F8 to activate BLUETOOTH WIFI (ON) (OFF)

  Wireless network added to settings Auto Connect with the end SSID and password encryption method.

  Click on connect when network appear in the revamped network and Password Viewer dialog.

  Does not.

  I would add that the laptop has no problem connecting via its Gigabit LAN port.

  Something else I'm missing?

  UPDATE:

  The next thing I tried was to reinstall Vista Professional recovery disk to see if it has suffered from the same problem.

  Wireless has worked under Vista, and despite the updates I was offered, worked without having to update all the drivers.

  This got me thinking... so the question is probably DRIVER XP related.
  What I've done now is to back up all the updates driver told me to download TEMPRO (BIOS & Manager wireless updates included).

  I think part of the problem is that only TEMPRO works under Vista (not XP) so you are not informed of any updates may be required if you upgrade to XP directly after the purchase (which is what I did).

  It seems that your wireless router is configured with the WEP encryption. The WEP key, not the same wireless network (SSID) name, could be written on the router. If this isn't the case, you will need to query the router admin pages to find out what is the WEP key - look for wireless security.

  For more assistance, we will need the brand and model of your router.

  Alternatively, you can search on the Vista desktop (if it connects wireless) and query the WEP key via the wireless network connection properties, there should be an option to display the characters of wireless WEP key.

  The DiscoveryAgent class can be used to search for Bluetooth devices nearby.

  RadioInfo class can be used to get information about the cell tower that BlackBerry handheld is currently connected.

  There is no API to search for Wi - Fi networks.  The user must configure the network Wi - Fi on their device before an application can connect on it.

  Did you try to scan for networks.

  If so your router/network name

  If you see it please select and connect, if have set up a secure connection, you must ensure that you put in the password / key.

  And you should be able to connect to the network without any problems.

  After reading your post, my understanding of the issue is that you are unable to start in Normal Mode and as such, cannot be online within Mode safe mode with networking.

  Because we can start in Mode safe mode with networking, this tells us that a driver or a program from loading at startup may cause the problem.  To solve this, I would try a clean boot.

  I have a home network with two computers Vista and I have a Vista laptop for work.  Where my work laptop is home it does not automatically connect to the internet, similarly if I want it.  When I go to network and sharing on laptop computer center it displays icons for the laptop, my home and internet network.  Threre is a X red between the network icon and the internet.  If I click on the red X a pop-up window indicates that Windows checks the problem.  Then a box will appear with several options, one if which is automatically "get new IP settings for the NIC 'Wireless Network Connection'.  When I click on a window pops up that says repair, and after a brief interval, she announced that the problem has been fixed, and it was fixed.

  How can I configure things so that she will do it automatically without this manual intervention.  There must be some way because I have never asked a password or permission to continue.

  If I turn off the laptop and then turn it back on a few moments later, the network connection is still there.  The problem occurs when I try again a few days later.

  Thanks for the reply.  I did it.

  I'm not sure it would fix the problem however, because the problem occurs after a day power off and power back up a few days later.  So presumably the power to the network adapter has been disable for power off intervals.

  Something happened tonight when I put under tension.  Asked me to confirm something on the network (unfortunately I can't remember what) and after that, I was connected to the internet - without having to go through the manual process described with my problem.  So maybe something has been reconfigured will correct the problem.
