  I found the solution to my question. I just downloaded the sp1 offered on this post and went on the safe mode and installed. Now, it works fine.   Which should I download?

  You can either download the ISO pre-built you want to burn to a CD and then boot from the CD, or you can download the automatic installer of the USB.
