  There are data potentially useful, stored in specific types of OTF and TTF fonts: style PANOSE (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PANOSE) information. These flags informs sequencer of the most important visual characteristics of a font, so theoretically it could use another font with similar characteristics instead.

• I have serious problems with default MS without serif fonts must be installed in my system, but do not seem to be more after a deletion and a reinstallation of my system.

When I get an email from someone who uses the "sans-serif" as their type of font, or when I go on a site like Wikipedia, for example, which uses the police without serif, my default system, a font of script which does not allow to read all the content. I can't find a problem with the fonts, except that I'm missing some other files of fonts. Where can I download the fonts so that I need, so I can ensure that they are properly installed? It is a feat, but it is infuriating and a waste of time when there should be a simple solution to this.

  First of all, let us try to uninstall fonts, reinstall it and see if the problem still occurs.

  You may need to use a third-party Web site to download the font.

  Secondly, if the problem persists, you will need to make some changes to the registry.

  In the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE NT\CurrentVersion\FontSubstitutes.

  There is a "MS Sans Serif, 0" entry with a value of 'MS Sans Serif, 177'

  So this must be a mapping of fonts or substitute for MS Sans Serif. I would like to know what means the '0' in MS Sans Serif, 0 string. Delete the entry, and then restart the computer.

  I know I've seen this before... I double click on a view in the relational model and the screen seems to change orientation, but the property sheet is now where to find. I use an extended display (2 monitors). I checked the log file but no message there.

  I suspect you may have a configuration of different monitor from the previous time that you display the view properties dialog box, and it tries to show where it it posted previously.

  You can get back to the main screen by doing this:

  1. try to display the Properties dialog box

  2. tap Alt space (this opens the dropdown of the invisible dialog box).

  3 M type (this selects the Move option in the drop-down below).

  4 use the left or right arrow key to move the dialog box. (Once you've started it, you will find that you can use the mouse to position the dialog on the screen.)

  I don't know if it's the best solution, but something as simple as this:

• Getting property of type 'Date' from a PDO data store

  Sorry, I've replaced iStartTime by measurement_begin to make it work on my local database :-)

• How can I fix MS Sans Serif fonts in WinXP SP3?

  I played FSX on WinXP SP3 and suddenly police dialogs commune, looked weird. Seems like the problem, it's my default system font (MS Sans Serif) was erased, so all elements of dialogue text using this default font to display text with big letters, usually they do not fit in the room and messages are trimmed.

  I tested some programs that use the default font by using MS VS resource editor and XN resource editor. In all cases, the default font is "MS Sans Serif, 8pt", but when I click on the combo of fonts, the police is not displayed.  I have other 'similar' fonts: Microsoft Sans Serif and MS Serif, but not exactly 'MS Sans Serif '. I don't know if it's the same font as "Microsoft Sans Serif". Anyway, if I go to regedit, I have not entered fonssubstitution. Any idea on how could I solve this problem?

  Bah! Forget it! I just had to copy sserife.fon from another PC into my fonts folder and that's it!
