  Hello I have implemented a JavaScript from Adobe that expire after a certain date. However, the script asks both on the computer that can be changed. I thought that maybe I could get the time from a server NTP, NIST, which cannot be changed. However, I can't understand how to call and get the time server using JavaScript. I heard that JavaScript is client-side, but there is also a side server as well. Is it possible to code in Adobe Acrobat DC? I heard also that time of the OS is different maybe through Microsoft server. Could I get the OS somehow time?

  The main problem with anything that is based on JavaScript is that it can be turned off easily, in order to place you in the document code will not work.   The other option, is to use JavaScript to get the date of the browser, that should work, but the lines are displayed from a query in an AF:table, I need to apply the calculation to set the color of the table date field based on the calculation of date browser.   Personally, I do not like to convert dates into strings and vice versa. I think that both arithmetic and precise the date date would perform better.

  Explanation:

  -Use the EXTRACT function to get the time. The date must be "converted" in a timestamp date because ANSI does not have the component "hour".
  -Subtract the difference of two hours from the time. This will change the interval from 2-8 to 0-6, 8-14-6-12, etc.
  -Divide by 6 and truncates the result. This will give 1 what it is from 08:00 to 13:59.59 hours.
  -Group by this result, which will all split into groups of ranges of 6 hours.

  -Now, in each group, so the component "hour": TRUNC (DT) is the date with time set to 0, DT - TRUNC (DT) is the component "hour".
  -Ordering by the component "hour", download the first date that corresponds to the first component of the time.

In the event log, it says error in manifest or policy file as a component version required by the application in conflict with one another component version already active. The two components are: c: Program Files\Viewer\Microsoft.VC80.CRT.MANIFEST.

  Problems arise when I deleted some files (don't remember which) I am now myself for kicks. Then I completely restored my system with a restore cd, upgrading to vista, downloaded all the updates and everything else works fine only problem is the opening of .exe files. Can someone please help? I'm no computer wiz only right following the indications :)

  This can be quite difficult because there isn't anyway that I am aware of ask BB10 directly for the offset of UTC (GMT). The basic procedure is:

  • Get the current time with QDateTime::currentDateTime()
  • Make a copy with QDateTime::toUTC()
  • Force the date in UTC format.
  • The difference between the two dates and times now corresponds to the offset from UTC.

  Something like this:

  QDateTime dt1 = QDateTime::currentDateTime();
  QDateTime dt2 = dt1.toUTC();
  dt1.setTimeSpec(Qt::UTC);
  
  int offset = dt2.secsTo(dt1);
  

  After that it works offset will contain the offset from UTC in seconds, so divide by 3600 if you want hours.

  UPDATE: For everyone it is the future that has understanding of the difficulties of reading what the hell happens in this code...

  • Line, you get just the date and time in a QDateTime. This will be the time in the local time zone. It doesn't have to be updated to do this, any date and time will be, but current is convenient.
  • Line two is a copy of the first date and time, but as one hour UTC. If, for example, if you are in Toronto to UTC - 5:00 and the current local time is 15:46, then T2D will be set at 20:46, the time in Greenwich, England, but the dates are in fact always the same, because we're local, and the other is UTC. For this reason, at this point by subtracting from each other will result in zero, because they are actually exactly the same date and time.
  • Third line says to t1d" I know you think you're time local 15:46, but you're actually 15:46 UTC. " T1d believes that without a doubt. Now the two dates are actually different and separated by the local offset to the hour UTC.

  Hope this makes things clearer because the reason that this code works may not be obvious.
