• Windows 7 - cannot get updates for Office 2003

  After hours of talking on the phone, I turn on these forums for help.

  I have Windows 7 x 64 Professional with all current updates.  I also have MS Office 2003.

  While I am able to receive and update the operating system, I get no prompt or suggested updates for Office 2003.  From Office 2003 and then clicking on "Help/Check for Updates ' do nothing.  Interesting is going to 'Control Panel/system and security/Windows Update' and then clicking on "get updates for other Microsoft products...".   I am running a version of ligitimate support windows xp center edition and for some reason, this thing think I have mac or a mac on my pc operating system. I had installed, "Bumptop" but I've always had updates when they were available. And I was still able to check updates but now after uninstalling the "Bumptop", I'm having this problem.   If it's been a few days since you have installed SP2 and don't always get updates then you may need to reset Windows Update components.  Run the hotfix article tool, and then run Windows Update.  First, run the tool in normal mode, then test, if it is not corrected, then run it in aggressive mode.  Post back with the results.
