getAppView () .log () in Oracle Nashorn

My Mozilla Rhino scripting using model.getAppView () .log () to write a few result in the log window.  After the passage of Oracle Nashorn these lines give an error:

TypeError: oracle.dbtools.crest.swingui.ApplicationView@60ab8dc5 has no such function "log" in < eval >

This error appears when I click on 'Apply' to run the script.  If I use 'Debug' and then 'Go', the script works fine and the output in the log as expected window.

If I change my script to include this:

throw new java.lang.Exception (model.getAppView () .getClass () .getMethods () [0]);

so I believe that he told me that "the journal" is indeed a function that exists:

Message: java.lang.Exception: public static oracle.dbtools.crest.swingui.ApplicationView.log (java.lang.String) Sub in < eval >

Why not my "log()" called work when I click on "Apply"?  I'm doing something wrong, or is this a bug?

Well, if there is a problem, it is not in the Data Modeler. Probably the motor force invocation of static to be done statically - functions class on the instance of this class.

The following works:

Packages.oracle.dbtools.crest.swingui.ApplicationView.log ("text");

  • Oracle Nashorn - how to change the type of data/size of the column?

    Hello!

    Can someone give an example of how to do to change a column datatype/size with Oracle Nashorn?

    The way I did (with Mozilla Rhino) does more work:

    type = model.getDesign () .getLogicalDataTypeSet () .getLogTypeByName ("VARCHAR");

    column.setLogicalDataType ();

    Thank you!

    Emiliano.

    I think you need to call setLogicalDatatype (with a small t) rather than setLogicalDataType.

  • Redo Log in Oracle RAC 11G

    Hello

    I work with oracle RAC 11gr2.0.3.

    We have an expectation to top event 'parallel log file reading', and other types of waiting as 'log sequential read', 'log file sync '...

    When I check the size of redo log = 50 M, while in the old database oracle 10 g 2 (no CARS), the size of redo log = 150 M.

    So, I want to know if I should increase our redo log in our Oracle RAC database, or not?

    Should be again small use connect oracle RAC, oracle RAC without difference?

    Thank you for your help.

    No matter the size, it is recommended to use at least 3 groups of newspapers by thread. This is particularly important if the archive log mode is activated.

    See you soon,.

  • No clarity about the location of archive logs in Oracle database 11g

    I have this request which I am not able to solve. There is a location of the log archiving mentioned as /oraarch/app/oracle/oradata/snlprod/archive_logs/in the parameter log_archive_dest_1. But the archive logs appear in another location/orabackup/rman/snlprod/archive_logs. I wonder how the archive logs show at this location, / orabackup/rman/snlprod/archive_logs.

    I assume that there is only one way in what place can be given which is seen availability-> restore settings-> Media Recovery.

    Hopefully, my question is clear.

    Please get back with the answer to my query.

    Concerning

    Check the location of the archive log backup in the script. What is /orabackup/rman/snlprod/archive_logs.

  • Log in Oracle

    Hello

    I'm collecting different types of newspapers in Oracle, while I have gathered up to now 11 type of newspapers:

    1 redo log
    2 log archiving
    3 alert log
    4 journal of MV of
    5 journal of flashback
    6. journal of EM of
    7 journal of the listener to
    8 journal DBCA
    9 supplemental Journal
    10. journal of the DML errors
    11 audit log of

    Can you tell me more.

    Thank you.

    I'll add below newspapers:

    Task log
    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/server.112/e25494/schedadmin002.htm#autoId3

    Log window
    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/server.112/e25494/schedadmin002.htm#autoId4

    Oracle Clusterware Alert Log
    Oracle Grid Infrastructure Journal Alerts
    Log RMAN
    Journal of the YES
    Journal of OPatch
    ... Continue the list...

    Why continue to list? Because there are mainly 2 types of marbles i.e. which are written in binary form and which are written in binary form / non-text. If you just rethink the list until now, you can say "AnyTool.log." that is, Oracle each tool creates his own newspaper, its own path/way. If you run RMAN, there may be paper RMAN, if I do something with DBCA then dbca log; While Srini Chavali gave you the link, you can get more and more newspapers, but I think that its enough learn more about all these to get you an id of something like "logman"... :-)

  • Problem with the Archive log in Oracle 11 g

    Hi gurus,

    I'm new in the DBA role and I have real problems with the archive logs - they are written to the wrong place.
    This is my environment:
    Windows Server 2003 Enterprise x 64 Edition; Oracle 11g EE + ASM;
    I did everything according to the instructions.
    I did the following:
    1. install Oracle 11 g software
    2 instance created using DBCA for ASM in the same House and added a no formatted disk as a DATA disk group
    3 database instance created using DBCA mode archive using ASM for data files. I've mirrored controlfiles and redo online records on the C: drive. I created flash_recovery_area and a reference to it when the instance was created.
    4. start to import the data.

    And here's the problem - for an unknown to me reason archive logs are written on 2 places: 1. in the flash_recovery_area, 2; IN MY ORACLE_HOME!

    I opened with EM dbconsole init settings and found that there is a single parameter, that points to this place (standby_archive_dest =' docs in the % ORACLE_HOME%\RDBMS, it is written that it is an obsolete parameter). Is another parameter that I found (LOG_ARCHIVE_LOCAL_FIRST = TRUE - I put it to FALSE), but nothing to help continue to write in ORACLE_HOME.

    How can I stop it? If I can't stop, so what happens in production? Should I manually delete all newspapers of this Archive - it will be madness!

    Try to set log_archive_dest_1 specifically. Example: -.

    ALTER system set db_recovery_file_dest_size = 400G;
    ALTER system set db_recovery_file_dest = '+ ASM_ORADATA42;
    ALTER system set log_archive_dest_state_1 = reporter;
    ALTER system set LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_1 is 'LOCATION = USE_DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST VALID_FOR =(ONLINE_LOGFILE,ALL_ROLES)';.
    ALTER system set log_archive_dest_state_1 = enable;

  • logging in oracle sites

    I wrote the java code that is included as a pot in the lib of CS on tomcat webapps folder. I want to do logging on this code. I entered after line log4j.properties "log4j.logger.com.test = INFO" where com.test is the package name. Even the newspapers are not printed. any suggestions?

    Can you post a fragment of your code to show how it is obtained and writing in the newspaper?

    Usually, it's something like:

    private static Log log = LogFactory.getLog (MyClass.class.getName ());
    ...
    log. Debug ("here debug message");

  • Additional logging with Oracle 10 g 2 streams and Data Guard

    Hello

    I have a physical environment with DB Oracle 10 g 2 and Standby with Data Guard DR CONF. At the present time, this environment will be extended to a pattern of replication using 2-way Oracle Streams Replication (for replication to the central office of this branch, other channels will be added soon). The primary DB is replicated to the other primary DB (at the telephone exchange remotely).

    So, there's my question: it is completely necessary to specify an additional record on data sources (primary) to set the 2-way Streams replication? and, if it is completely necessary, then, can configure additional connection on primary without affecting their physical Standby, or what I have to do something special?

    Thanks in advance.

    Yes, for the streams you need additional registration. There is no impact on databases physical standby.

    You may need to increase the CONTROL_FILE_RECORD_KEEP_TIME value.

    If the archivelogs are still on the disk, you can try to catalog them with:

    RMAN> catalog start with '/home/oracle/DataBaseBackups/ArchiveDest/;

    or if you don't need the file you can simply remove the o/s and run the following:

    RMAN> crosscheck archivelog all;
    RMAN> delete expired archivelog all;

  • Disable logging for session in Oracle 10 g?

    I use a procedure to remove a large number of rank for an application several times. Because the DELETE statement takes time, and the data should be archived, I decide to use the nologging option.
    How to do?
    What is the best choice? Disable session logging in Oracle 10 g?

    Thank you

    Because the DELETE statement takes time, and the data should be archived, I decide to use the nologging option.

    NOLOGGING has no effect on a DELETE statement.

    The only DML statement that obey NOLOGGING is a direct path.

    If you want to delete a large number of rows in a table, there are other ways to achieve this. As the creation of a new table with only the lines you want to keep.

    Hi all

    I didn't know that there was a patch for 12.1.3 for the MAF to the Oracle. So I tried to update, looked ok, that was until I went back into the center of update and the update was still there. I then ran JDev via the command line (remember I use OS x and Windows not) and got the following result:

    maf01.png

    Any ideas?

    There is a bug where even after installation of the patch you will see in the center of update.

    But with the version in the image sound joint extension done.

    That IS the only thing that you wanted to talk, or there are also other issues?

  • Unable to capture logs while using parallel processing of ODI

    Hi all

    I have a requirement to run a same package at the same time in different executions. I used parallel processing in ODI by changes to the physical topology pattern and changing the km.

    Execution seems fine. But I am facing problem while capturing errors by using step sqlunload.

    I give the query as below

    Select the id of E$ _ '#V_Session' _employee

    V_Session is a variable of refreshment where I enter the session number

    employee is my target table.

    This step is to throw an error "SQL COMMAND NOT PROPERLY ENDED"

    I tried all the operator of concatenation of sets are also used, but did not work

    Any help on this is much appreciated

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

    In the module knowledge IKM, after validation transaction add a step further and place it under code command on the target tab and choose tehcnology as tool ODI

    «OdiSqlUnload "-LEADER = D:\LOG_DATA\E$ _ <%=odiRef.getSession("SESS_NO")%>.log '"-DRIVER = oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver "«-URL=jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:XE ' '-USER = test" "-PASS = aYyaJAjLcbZAyaAiJMYtdp" "-FILE_FORMAT = VARIABLE" "-ROW_SEP = \r\n" "-DATE_FORMAT = YYYY/MM/DD hh: mm:" "-CHARSET_ENCODING = ISO8859_1" ""-XML_CHARSET_ENCODING = ISO-8859-1 "»

    Select * from E$ _ <%=snpRef.getSession("SESS_NO")%>
