Ghost mail inbox reception, junk, trash and sent folders

I I have an iPhone 6 and an iPad. Both use iOS 9.2.1.

For several months (and several updated operating software) I have ghosts emails in my Inbox, junk, garbage and now my sent folder. I tried all of the fixes recommended on this forum, but nothing works. I use an Exchange account. This is not the case on my iCloud account that works very well.

I know I'm not the only one and keep praying with each software update that Aplle will fix the problem, but it lasts for several months now.

Any suggestions...

This is most likely a problem with the Exchange account and not your phone. I had a similar problem with an Exchange account on my iPhone and was able to solve it by signing on the account, and then insert it again.

  • New to Thunderbird, & my 'projects' and 'Sent' folders disappeared (NOT in the folder delete) - how I get back them?

When I started using Thunderbird, created automatically to the Inbox, drafts, sent, and deleted files. Now I have that Inbox and deleted as the currents of air and sent are no longer displayed. They don't seem to be in the folder deleted, no more.

Suggestions on how to get to see my project items and sent?

I'm guessing that your account is IMAP and the original folders were eventually replaced by those synced from the server. It may be that they were finally populated with mail. Thunderbird tends to show only records after they serve the projects, releases etc.

The click of the future, not the account in the folders pane and choose Subscribe all folders should disappear.

    Also
Right-click the account still once, select settings.
Select the server settings and the Advanced button. Enable or disable the "show only subscribed folders" (in the case of yahoo, there is a yconversations file that is displayed if the option is disabled)

  • I cannot see how many messages is in or the size of the trash or sent folders after upgrading to 3.1.10

Recently, I upgraded my Thunderbird client to 3.1.10 of 2.2xx and I see is no longer the size of the files or how many messages are in some cases. Records show how many are unread, but not the total number of messages or the size of the data in the folder that I have with the previous version. If these options have been removed for some reason, is there a problem with the return to the previous version? Thank you, Dave English

  • Cannot remove Thunderbird mail all mail or the treaties since I changed my password for googlemail. Can't remove it from the Inbox and sent mail

I recently changed my googlemail password and saved a nine on Thunderbird. However, when I try to delete mail messages or my project all the files they reappear again and I have to go in googlemail to remove. I can delete in the Inbox and sent folders (even if I was prompted to enter the password for each of them at the start, but I have received no invitation for projects and all messages. I don't want to change the settings regarding where these messages are stored.

I thank very you much for your useful replies. I checked all the settings and they were as you described. Removal of all mail is not important and can be done, if necessary, from Gmail. I have overcome the problem of the drafts folder by changing the destination folder in the drafts IMAP that allows me to remove both Thunderbird and Gmail at the same time, which is what I needed. However, I still do not understand why change my Gmail password should have caused the problem in the first place!

  • How can I find my sent folder and trash and my spam folder? No present more in the left panel.

Until today, I could access my SENT, TRASH, SPAM, folders etc. from a list on the left side of my screen or by clicking the "inbox" tab icon in the corner of the very top left of my screen of Thunderbird. (The little envelope with the green arrow pointing to the top immediately followed by "Inbox"). Now, it is totally insensitive.

I click on View/Toolbars/and all four are verified - Mail toolbar, the menu bar, status bar, the quick filter bar

I click Show folders / and 'All' is checked.

I am desperate... If I lose messages sent, I will have lost tons of work for my nonprofit. I have Thunderbird for years and years and NEVER had anything like that happen. I can sent you screen caps,... whatever it is, but please help me find this info.

Thanks in advance for your help.

When I closed all open tabs and then clicking on the remaining "Inbox" tab, the drop-down list contained the choice "Close other tabs"... but it is grayed out.

I have solved my problem, but goes to the computer of a friend with Thunderbird and then study its configurations and could still access my Envoy, trash and spam folders just by dragging the left edge of the Thunderbird "inbox" to the right, revealing the other folders in the control panel. (Curiously, with email from Thunderbird to my friend, under display/layout (from the menu bar), there is an option to check the 'folders pane", but who was Ghost out before I dragged the left edge of my Thunderbird to reveal this part of the file.

    Thank you for your help.

  • Different Trash, folderd sent to Apple Mail, iOS

    Hello

I noticed that my different I have devices running different versions of iOS and Mac OS x use different folders trash and sent. This leads to some minor inconveniences such as the breaking of a response string.

Mac has put the message sent in the sent folder, but iOS put in Sent Messages.

Server is accessible on IMAP with SSL, and I was expecting identical behavior.

Then I would start to solve this contradiction?

It is soluble. First of all, to understand what files you want to use. It is often the right choice according to the value of your customer webmail uses folders.

    • On your Mac, you can select a mailbox and then go to the mailbox > use this mailbox under menu to define its role (trash, sent, drafts, etc.)
    • On your iOS devices, go to settings > Mail, Contacts, calendar > [account] > account > advanced. You will see a section called "the mailbox behaviors". Here you can choose which mailboxes are used for treaties, trash, etc... You need exit the Advanced menu and click on "Done" before the changes take effect.

It seems that, in your case, the best shot would be to change the iOS devices to use the same files sent and Trash like Macs.

  • Remove E-mail twice from the trash.

When I select an e-mail message in the trash and press DELETE it disappears for a second, and then the e-mail file reappears. I have to type DELETE a second time for e-mail should in fact be deleted. This only happens in the trash folder.  It did not start until I upgraded my Macbook to El Capitan.

How can I change where messages are deleted on the first attempt?

Question odd but is Safari current execution when this dual suppression is necessary?

  • The consolidation imported emails with new messages in the same Inbox and sent mail folder

I have 25000 emails in the Inbox of my vision and another 40000 e-mails in my Inbox items sent. I have also some subfolders of Inbox.

With the help of pstconverterpro I go to export to the format of apple mail. It works and I've seen.

The main problem is: how to move import of emails in the inbox sent and respective items of mail from apple records? It's not do this by default. Imported emails are sitting in folders created slot "on my mac" header, which is separated from the reception and sent items folder in apple mail box.

It's frustrating because then my new mails will Inbox, and all the old emails imported with much history serve separately in a different folder. the same imported sent items folder sits next to the Inbox folder imported, as if it were just an another subfolder. This is not good for the mail or research organization. He is now a plug of great show for me and not let me pass Dell Windows to my macbook brand new unfortunately.

People of any solution? Thanks in advance...

  • My Inbox and sent emails has disappeared... new e-mails are working properly. where can I find my former staff?

In desperation... all my email is gone. Empty Inbox, and sent.

    How can I recover them?

    Thank you.

First, check what is obvious. View | Current view. Show all Messages is checked? If this isn't the case, read on.

Two reasons the most common for what you describe is disruption of the compacting process, (never touch anything until it's finished), or bloated folders. More about that below.

Why OE insists on compacting folders when I close it? :
    http://www.insideoe.com/FAQs/why.htm#compact

    Why mail disappears:
    http://www.insideoe.com/problems/bugs.htm#mailgone

    Recovery methods:

If you are running XP/SP3, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.

To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.

Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.

First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.

If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.

If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.

If you have not then bak copies of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin:

A general warning to help avoid this in the future:

Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

  • Import old box Inbox and sent in the Mail after upgrading to El Capitan

There has been much discussion about the e-mails lost after upgrade to El Capitan, but I have not seen this particular question.

I discovered that, like many others, all emails in my Inbox and in my sent folder to leave before the upgrade had disappeared. The issue has not affected the emails I had moved to folders.

Open the mail library file (in the Finder, hold down the Option key selecting go to the top menu and the library appears), I discovered that Mail was created a new file V2, account, while the old one, V3 (created in 2013), sitting next to her. Go by the size files, it seems fair to assume that the V3 still contains my "lost" emails

So, I don't know if the bug is that a new V2 should have been created at all, or is it a sync error, or something else. What I know is that when I try to import the items from Inbox and sent from the V3, I get an error message telling me that no mbox valid was found. This is patently false.

I also tried to copy on an external hard drive, gave them a different name, but even then I couldn't import them. Reconstruction did not help either.

Anyone able to help? I have a few crucial e-mails out there, and I try to avoid the upgrade...

  • Trash and junk folder missing

My trash and Junk folders are missing from the side bar on Mac mail. I tried everything to locate. I'm used to be able to see and review the elements that went into the junk e-mail folder until I deleted the content. How to make a comeback?

I would recommend to take up all the mails and delete the IMAP account .once it is removed an IMAP account needs to be created, so that all records in the mail sidebar will be visible.

  • Why hundreds of messages have today disappeared from my Thunderbird Inbox and sent folder? Due to problems with Yahoo.

Having had a few problems of the internet on my laptop these days, I just noticed that chunks of my Inbox reception Thunderbird & sent records have remained. Both seem to have exactly 200 messages left. Curiously, some of them reappear, but there are still 200 total remaining. My "activity manager" shows that, at least 4 times in the last hour, pieces of 200 messages have been deleted. However, it shows as 200 messages have been downloaded. This introduced the Inbox a little more up-to-date (in early April), but still leaves gaps for the previous and most recent messages. The total number of messages in my Inbox was less than 1000, I don't think it's a capacity problem. Any ideas?

  • Mail automatically transfer from Inbox to the trash

Sometime in the last week or two, perhaps after the last update to 9.3.1 on my iPhone 6 +, whenever I have put an email on my iPhone from the Inbox to the trash, when I open my MacBook Air later in the day, all the mail that I've trashed on my iPhone, was vandalized on my MacBook. I never activated any changes manually and I can't find where to cancel this feature 'sync '. I suspect it's Mail or a matter of preference to iCloud preferences.

    Wes

Yes, it is an automatic system of any IMAP mail client to synchronize all devices to the same State... especially iCloud.

No idea why it was not before, unless it's just worked not just before 9.3.1 Although I do here about 9.3.1 redo a lot of pref.

  • When sending email e-mail remains in the Outbox and is sent over and over again unless I'm deleting it. It does not move to sent box

My Internet service provider said that it is not a problem of them

Can I assume that the e-mail program, you did not mention is Outlook Express?

You have apparent dbx file corruption.

Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and then create new folders to send and sent items box after having moved the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them.  New ones will be created automatically when you open OE.

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.
