  • Is there a version of Links LS Golf which will run in Windows 7 Professional 64-bit operating system?

    I currently have 98 LS links and this version will not be installed

    Hi BillMoffat

    Welcome to the Microsoft Answers Forum!

    Since there is no Link LS Golf that is compatible with windows 7 64 bit version, I suggest you to wait for the release of the same.

    To work around the problem, try to install the game in compatibility mode and check if it works. Here is the link that gives you the steps to install the program in compatibility mode: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

  • How can I get my woking of golf with windows 7 premium Simulator it was working very well with xp___

    HOW CAN I GET MY P3 PRO swing work with windows 7 it was working fine with xp

    Hey golfer.

    You should check whether the game is compatible with Windows 7 or not. Here is given is the link to verify the compatibility of all software\hardware.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/default.aspx

    If the game is not compatible, to work around the problem, you can try to install it in Windows XP compatibility mode and check if that helps.

    To run the troubleshooting program compatibility Troubleshooter

    1. Open the program compatibility problems by clicking on the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type Troubleshooting, and then click Troubleshooting. Under programs, click run programs made for previous versions of Windows.
    2. Follow the instructions contained in the resolution of the problems.

    If you are unable to install a program, insert the installation disc for the program and, using the Troubleshoot utility, navigate to the program setup file, usually called Setup.exe, Install.exe, or something similar. This utility is not designed to work on programs that have an .msi file name extension.

  • Links 2001

    I recently bought a new Lenovo with Vista Home edition. For the most part, I'm satisfied with the machine and OS. I would load my old Microsoft Links 2001 and read on this computer, but the video will not work. I have a card NVID 9500. Any suggestions?

    Hi rutledgerick,

    Thanks for posting on answers.microsoft.com

    You try to get your Microsoft Links 2001 to play on your new computer.

    When I try to get a program to run on a system, it is always a good idea to try to run the program in compatibility mode or verify its compatibility.

    Here is an article to help resolve this aspect

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/927386

    Follow these steps for compatibility purposes.  With NO video or no video format support F:\golf.avi---Si F:\ is your installation CD-try a new CODECS and see if that fixes the problem.

    For more information about CODECS, see the following article.

    http://windowshelp.Microsoft.com/Windows/en-us/help/3d0c5a49-8F61-45cc-8A7D-38c4695ba9291033.mspx

    The above site may have information to help you locate the correct CODECS to make the game work on Vista.  Make sure you go to the link "How to find a codec" appearing on the site.

    Please let us know if this solves your problem, or if additional assistance is needed on this issue.

    Kind regards

  • Cannot play Links 2001 on XP

    Unable to read the links 2001. Error msg "no video or video not taken in charge. format E:\golf.avi.

    My system running Windows XP Pro Pack 3. Radeon 8500 video card.

    What should do?

    cankiwi6,
    Thanks for posting on the Microsoft Answers forums.  This game has already worked on your system, or you just have it installed?

    First thing to do is to check you video card drivers are updated. This link is to the ATI driver download page so you can make sure that you have the most recent driver: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

    If the game worked before, something has changed on your system (hardware or software)?  If Yes, you can run system restore to before the game has stopped working.  Here is a link to the instructions for the system restore: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084 Mike - engineer Microsoft Support responses

  • plu golf game

    When it loads the LINKS CHAMPIONSHIP EDITION on my new computer, it fails to run.  It is looking for f:\golf.avi but apparently can't find it (f: is the DVD drive and I use the original cd set to be installed).  Any ideas?  I know this is an old game, but it would be good to have it on my list of games.

  • Question about LINKS 386 PRO MS-DOS Version?

    In 1995, I bought the Version of MS-DOS PRO LINKS 386, produced by ACCESS SOFTWARE INC. It is a GOLF software designed to be played on a computer. My question is if I can install this program on my computer Dell Latitude E6530 laptop with Windows 7 OS? I have a lot of memory and hard drive capacity. I have the MS - DOS diskette 4 of each program. I have an attachment to disk installer for my laptop. If you think I can get a compatibility please suggest a procedure for installation. I'm a bug of golf and these cold long winter days have led me to take this program from my archives to play.

    Main

    There is no easy way to do especially if your Dell is 64-bit.  You could try an XP virtual machine in win 7 and it works on the XP VM.  You could try to find an emulator like DOSBOX (http://www.dosbox.com/)

    It will take some fiddling.

  • Spry menu bar: can I make a tab NOT a link? The child just come off her?

    Hi, I have DW CS3. I have a spry menu bar which I DO NOT have each tab to be a link to a page. I want to just fall down and show the links of the child. I.E. I have a link that says "Golf Tips", I don't want that is clickable. I just want that he dropped down to the submenus. 'fix my bracket', 'solve my crochet', etc.). Because it seems that each tab should have a link it requires me to create a page of destination which are licensed in the drop-down list coming out of the tab "golf tips". I tried to let the empty link area, but it won't let me. It pops up "Please insert a link."

    Any way around this. Right now I have about 6 of them I need to fix, as landing pages are confusing and unnecessary. Either that or I'll have to get rid of the child and the links just do the landing page. Maybe that's the best option.

    Thank you

    Ken

    If you don't want the link to go anywhere just use an empty anchor «#»  You can't leave it empty because of how work meuns CSS.  The 'a' tag in the CSS, it's what is used to trigger the drop-down menus, but using an empty anchor will ensure visitors won't go anywhere.

  • Create a button "hot link" to escape to the web?

    Hi, I looked around, but can't seem to find anything about it.  I'm running Encore CS4.

    I want to add a button in a menu, when you press on, jump to a URL on the web.  You know, like for more information goto this web site.

    How can I do?

    Best regards

    Pat

    Pat,

    If you create IN Flash, you can do it, otherwise, the pure DVD-card. are quite limited. The now discontinued eDVD had this ability, but he had questions porter to Vista, IIRC, and although I heard rumors of another purchase code, I saw anything like that come from that.

    We could also put URL links in the contents of the ROM on the disc, but even on a computer, you could use something like Windows Explorer to navigate to it. It would be obviously inelegant, but a simple button with the URL which are linked.

    Look in the Flash creative, because it might get you closer to what the customer needs.

    Good luck

    Hunt

    PS - I have a life. Right now, it is only out of the pool with the laptop, a golf course, lots of wine and travel with my wife... However, retirement is not all bad. None of the guests who want a URL in a button.

  • Give links to dynamically created MC

    Hi, I worked on a semi-dynamique portfolio for my personal work. It combines a .swf and an XML file to create a bunch of small boxes, containing thumbnails, images and links, all dynamically generated. Everything works well except the link. The following ActionScript code:

    boxes of var = new Array();
    var myXml = new XML();
    boxY = 30;
    myXml.ignoreWhite = true;
    myXml.load("..) ("/ xml/projects.xml");
    myXml.onLoad = function() {}
    for (var i = 0; i < this.firstChild.childNodes [1].childNodes.length; i ++) {}
    _root.attachMovie('projectBox','box'+i,i,{_y:boxY});)
    boxes.push (_root ['box' + i]);
    boxY = boxY + 45;
    boxes of . projectName.text = myXml.firstChild.childNodes [1] Sublst.ChildNodes(1).ChildNodes(0). attributes.pTitle;
    boxes of . thumb.loadMovie (myXml.firstChild.childNodes [1] Sublst.ChildNodes(1).ChildNodes(0). attributes.thumb);
    boxes . projectBtn.onRelease = function() {}
    getURL (myXML.firstChild.childNodes [1] Sublst.ChildNodes(1).ChildNodes(0)
    .) attributes.link); CONSOLE SAYS UNDEFINED
    };
    }
    };

    The following XML code:

    <? XML version = "1.0" encoding = "UTF-8"? >

    <>projects

    < Web site >
    < = project pTitle "Olde Oaks Golf Club" link = thumb "#" =""... / img/oaks.gif "/ >"

    I think the problem with the getURL(), which is the variable I the for loop changes several times, while the getURL() comes on with the onClick function. Perhaps at the time of the onClick variable is not defined. Is there a solution to give these dynamic links buttons? Please help a noob. It's very appreciated.

    your textfields are filled with the correct text? If so, try the following and click on a button:

  • I clicked on a link on my computer.

    I clicked on a link on my computer. I've got Yosemite 10.10.5. I now get location of verification questions to an address that according to me is the one I opened upwards. Does that mean I have a virus and what should I do?

    It is probably just to ask your location and is not a virus. Try going to System Preferences/security & privacy / confidentiality, unlock the lock and see if there is a box you can uncheck which stops applications. Safari is probably the logical choice.
