• Error message occurs during playback of games on my satellite

  A few days ago my Equium (sorry know not model no) suddenly got out of windows while playing a game. This kept displays it an error message, but it went off the screen so fast that I couldn't see it. I've narrowed the problem to the bottom of the ATI graphics card / driver.

  Each time I re - install the Windows driver works for a few minutes then comes me in new and re - start. If I unstill the windows driver works fine.

  It may be just a problem with the driver or the graphics card is likely to be broken? Can I replace the graphics card?
  I tried to download a new version of the site Web of ATI driver but have problems to install.

  The graphics card can not be replaced something like is not possible on the laptop, but it is secondary, because I don t think that the graphics card is damaged or broken. In my opinion, it might be simply a problem of graphics card driver.

  Toshiba graphics drivers are a little bit modified and designed only for the use of Toshiba laptops. ATI graphics drivers are not designed for Toshiba laptop usage and therefore it is not possible to install these drivers

  But don t worry Jason there is a useful page that provides the ATI drivers for laptop computers and this driver might help you play your favorite game.
  Many users have installed the driver on the site omegadrivers.net and it works
  Maybe you could try this driver.

  PS: I read here in the forum that Toshiba doesn't recommend use of any Toshiba drivers and so you can install drivers only at your own risk. Good luck

• Pavilion laptop: Preloaded uninstall Wild Tangent games

  Polar Golfer in the preloaded games has a Trojan horse.

  After paying a professional ($140) to remove all the preloaded HP games Wild Tangent, the computer seems to be fine.  Now, Ute, Security Essentials detected another Trojan horse which is in Polar Golfer.

  None of the preloaded Wild Tangent games appear on my list of programs and are not detected by re ro uninstaller.

  However when I open the folder of the games all the preloaded games are listed by name next to identical icons with white background that don't open when I click on them.  This moves the white icon in the center of the screen.

  Some piece of Polar Golfer must be hiding somewhere.  Security Essentials prevents find the Trojan horse, quarantine it and then withdraw only to repeat the process again and again.  I keep getting an error message on Security Essentials which indicates that the file size is too large and that it cannot be saved.

  I got the following information on the internet, but do not know if it will help or what to do with it.

  The full command line to uninstall for Polar Golfer at HP (remove only) is "C:\Archivos programa\WildTangent\Apps\GameChannel\Games\97EC74F4-592F-4CA5-B9E4-EBEB2887D797\Uninstall.exe. Main executable file of the application is called golf.exe and it has a size of 752,00 KB (770048 bytes).

  Microsoft has no information on the Trojan horse: WIN32 / Dynamer! KT so apparently Security Essentials knows something Microsoft does not work.

  When I run the function delete on Security Essentials, he hangs up and does not end.  For these last two days Security Essentials has begun the process of withdrawal in itself 4 times.  Also even if Security Essentials tells me on 2 of these departures the Trojan horse has been quarantined, it does not appear in the quarantine of the history section.

  I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your laptop HP and preloaded uninstall Wild Tangent games. I think that I would go to the person who uninstall the software you paid for it. Here is a link that shows you how do to check your apps. Click on 'Select all' - this will remove all the games on your computer.

  Here's an article on the deletion of cookies that could also help.

  Have you checked in the control panel to ensure that the game is not listed there?

  Since there is no Link LS Golf that is compatible with windows 7 64 bit version, I suggest you to wait for the release of the same.

• Old GUI of Windows games do not run

  I just got a new laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed to replace a 6 year with Windows XP machine.  I transferred a lot of what I call "wingames" from my old machine to my new.  (See list below).  These "wingames" are small (200 KB or less) GUI games I had for a time very very long - since Windows 3.1.  So far, they have worked in all versions of windows.  (I skipped Vista and went straight from XP to 7).

  I get the error message is: "the version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you are using.  Check your computer's system information to see if you need a x 86 (32 bit) or x 64 (64-bit) version of the program and then contact the software publisher. »

  These games were written by small businesses for programming (sometimes a single programmer in his spare time), 20 years ago.  This being old, companies are no longer in existence, nor that they would support a 64-bit environment.

  I tried to put in compatibility mode for Windows XP and 95 without success.  The error message above is displayed in compatibility mode as well.  I can't install in compatibility mode because there is no facility to perform.  These games came full size on disk 3 1/2 "back in the day.  Are there patches of other known for this problem?

  I try to use my Golf Launchpad Tour Golf Simulator, when I opened the Lao PDR Swing Analytics I get the following: Golf Launchpad is not connected. Please connect the golf launchpad on the USB Port of your computer.
  I went through the T/S advice provided by ElectricSpin.Com, it is not very useful, I unplug and plug the into my USB port, in Device Manager it appears without any error. It does not in my game of Tiger Woods 08 EA. The dashboard lights and provides accurate on launchpad lighting, if it is connected. I recognize the swing with the sequences of correct lighting, I think that something is wrong with the USB recognition or perhaps with the inf file. I'm not sure, just speculating.

  You certainly need to work with the manufacturer on this issue.  Make sure you have the latest drivers for 64-bit and Windows 7.  You can try to clean boot your system and then install the unit and see if that helps.  Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

  You should check whether the game is compatible with Windows 7 or not. Here is given is the link to verify the compatibility of all software\hardware.

  If the game is not compatible, to work around the problem, you can try to install it in Windows XP compatibility mode and check if that helps.
