• Problems with the Google account sync on iPhone

  running iOS on iPhone 9.3.2 and 10.11.15 El Capitan on MacBook Air.

  I don't know when it happened, but my info from Google to sync seamlessly across devices, and somewhere along the line, he stopped.  I noticed that the notes in the Notes application on my iPhone is no longer being matched the latest updates made since the MacBookAir, however Mail, Contacts and calendar seem to be very good synchronization of iPhone and MacBook Air.

  I tried various fixes on the iPhone, including the toggling of the bet for the Notes in Mail, Contacts, calendar > Gmail 'market' to 'off' and back on again, however the same outdated old notes showed once again.  This made me think of a problem with Google's data, however, why would mail, calendar and contact info be properly synchronize but not notes?  So much Mail, Contacts, calendars > Gmail I chose 'Delete account', then readded the account.

  Now in addition to the Notes not sync, my Google Calendar does not appear.  Mail and contacts still sync flawlessly.  Apple Contacts and calendar apps on MacBook Air always going fine synchronization.  File 'Notes' in Gmail doesn't seem to have the most recent version of Notes created on MacBook... I am lost and don't know where to start.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

  This thread sets new calendar synchronization problem.  Don't know how, but at this point I don't like - just glad it worked.

  Re: notes synchronization problem - uncheck Notes of MacBook Air under accounts and then recheck their caused all the notes to get lost, as apparently they have not actually been synchronization throughout, but fortunately I had copied to iCloud.  Once turn on their return under Google accounts, all seem to be syncing to/from a computer and phone with questions.

  I'm having problems to make my Google Calendar (online since the iGoogle homepage) to sync with my phone. I can get the calendar of events that I add on my phone is displayed in my Google Calendar. When I add/delete, etc., the changes are there within minutes. I waited hours and nothing on the web is still coming to my phone. I just started to use Google and set up a gmail account when you are prompted to because my account @live.com has not been recognized by my phone. I don't have gmail set up as an e-mail account on my phone and my default email address is @live.com. I have read all the Google FAQ and have done everything they said and still nothing.   Only the google account that is active under the Gmail (not the widget messagin) application can be synchronized calendar. Other gmail accounts that are added under messaging will simply e-mail accounts.

  What happens if clear the calendar and then save? Maybe uncheck, add a calendar event, and then save. You can also use the menu button and then "Synchronize now".

  Another place to look is your calendar - if you have more then one, to make sure they are all displayed. Open the calendar more-> you-> Menu-> my calendars and make sure that your Google calendar is selected.

  The hub, click on the three dots at the bottom right and select "Refresh". It is the only way to do it. You must do the same in the Contacts and calendar, except under Contacts, you drag down from the top to the refresh option.

  Did you enter in Google Calendar and and under notifications, option for the calendar in question choose to disable notifications. These notifications are coming from the side of Google, and if this does not work and you have any other questions I would contact Google directly for help on this issue.

  Ultimately, this was fixed by removing my keychain entirely, no doubt I had a bad CA cert somewhere:

  rm - rf ~/Library/Keychains

  Note This will remove all your passwords, etc., so make sure that you have everything documented (for example in a password manager), or you will lose access to your e-mail, etc..

  I wanted to get some comments from other users, because I'm a little worried.  Like many of those who have reported this on this forum, I found the transfer of Palm Desktop to forward using the data transfer Assistant to give poor results.  So I manually filled in the events that I need in Google Calendar then deleted Google account of the Pre and back in the Google account on the Meadow after that that it had been deleted.  The phone immediately began to synchronize with Google, which was what I expected it to do.

  The problem is that it is now three hours later and the phone always said it is the synchronization with Google.   I've heard the reports of things taking a long time, but it seems odd that he would take if for a long time to perform this synchronization (my calendar is not so complicated), and I'm worried there's something wrong.  Anyone had any experience of several hours of synchronizations between pre and Google Cal?  What was the resolution?

  PDAGuy: Thanks for the quick ping back.  There were a large number of events--maybe three or four hundred - but many have recurrences.  I was also using a fast WiFi connection.

  In any case, I've gritted my teeth and restarted the phone, the problem seems to have resolved itself - the sync event went away and the events seem to have downloaded from Google Calendar.  So I suspect perhaps the phone was just hanging.

  In addition, I tried to put an event on the agenda of the phone and now sync up to Cal from Google (who had not worked before), and it works.

  Phew! Once again, thanks for coming back on this so quickly.

• Google contacts sync completely post 1.3.1 update

  I had to do a partial reset of my phone as 1.3.1 was my phone really wobbly and unstable. Now when I try to compose emails, contacts in my google account are not displayed on my pre. Some are, but many are missing. If I go to my gmail contacts, they are there, but not on my phone. Do a manual synchronization doesn't help, or don't remove account, restart the device and add new account.

  Anyone has this problem or knows what happens? 1.3.1 is to blame?

  Hello, I have not seen elsewhere raised by anyone else yet. I think the upgrade from my current Palm Centro phone to a pre (Sprint service). I am currently using 2 accounts. One account is for my personal gmail account. The other account (different non-gmail email address) for my work schedule. My work group uses Google Calendar.

  I'll be able to sync with both Google accounts and then view them in a layers view? Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.

  Absolutely, you can sync multiple Gmail accounts and see the calendars in layers. You can set a schedule for your work calendar color, one for your personal calendar, one for virtually any calendar you have (limited only by the number of colors to choose from-8 for now).

  Never seen that before. You want to know if I should answer with my passwords or not.

  If you use your Mac with an active firewall I guess that his Apple. There is always a chance, but he wants no doubt for is Mail (check if you are connected) or calendar/hangouts in messages app. Go to System Preferences, then Internet accounts and make sure your google account is connected. If it is, I guess you could probably ignore the message unless he shows a particular reason to connect (IE messages like etc.).
