Google indexes the incorrect file type: html vs php

Hello

This weekend I was helped a lot with a problem, I got on php: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/420710?tstart=0

However, I had downloaded the site a week before and now Google index the old pages with extension html (http://mysafety.be)

I have included "not to archive ' and 'no index' metatags, but the amount indexed with html continues to climb and no pages with php extension are being indexed.

This means that I have to keep alive all the html page with no - archive metatag and redirection to the version of php.

Suggestions, please?

Thank you

Erik

You can place a file named ".htaccess" in the root of any folder, and the server will use the directives in the file to control how it serves pages for the client.  There is a full set of controls, more can be found by Googling "htaccess", probably you do not want to read, but among them is the possibility to do a server for any extraction of page redirection, allowing you to automatically redirect all requests for *.html to *.php.  Which is nice, is that you can send a header with the redirect than direts search engines to adjust their indexes, called a "301" header.  It specifies that the requested page has moved permanently to the new name of the page.

On several of my sites, I have this redirect used - the .htaccess file contains the markup like this.

Redirect 301 xyzzy.html http://www.example.com/xyzzy.php

  • Google indexing of xml files, how to prevent...

    Hello developers,

Maybe it's a weird question, but I have a small dilemma.

I have a few sites flash-xml and Google will index the xml files.
When a user is searching (Google) and the text can be found in the xml file, the result of the search sometimes will be http://domain.com/file.xml
For example, when the user click on it only the xml file is displayed in the Explorer.

    Question:
Is there a way to link or redirect the xml file automatically to the site index.html file?
Or y at - it another way to avoid this?

Thanks in advance for any help!

You can get help here, though it is not a question related to the AS1/AS2 and is probably better to take to a forum such as http://forums.adobe.com/community/design_development/webdesign web design

Or better yet, you could try Google itself.  They provide advice to deal with things that are not indexed.

  • After you install Windows Live Mail, he keeps trying to attribute the .eml file type to itself.

On my office workstation (Windows Server 2008 R2), I use Outlook 2010 to network and business-related emails.  I installed Live Mail 2011 for my personal mail (hotmail, gmail, yahoo, etc) in order to keep it separate and open it only once or twice a day.  I said to Live Mail was not the client by default, but all 60 seconds or so he tries to assign the .eml file type to itself in any case (even if it is not running).  I've got WinPatrol keeping my setup, but I don't want to say no to him, "do not allow this change" once per minute.  How can I send live to accept his secondary position and stop trying to run away with the .eml file type?

original title: let my Filetype Alone!

There is no default program to manage the eml file type in Server 2008 R2, and is not one that is recognized by Outlook.  I would suggest you go ahead and set the eml file type opened by WLM under control panel | Default programs.  Then you can leave it alone, I hope.  If not, then ask in the forum here WLM: www.windowslivehelp.com

Do not understand your first sentence.
As for avi, google for a FREE video converter, convert avi to WMV format.
    Now, try to burn again.

  • Incorrect file types - user ONTSUNAN model vector files are JPEG files

I bought the FILE #: 117325052 Ontsunan user which is described as "Blue design layout of Brochure... template vector illustration in A4 '."

The file type is specified in JPEG, but I mislead me by the description.

The jpg can be reassigned as a model because it has text on top of graphics elements, making the file useless. Then I checked the other files in the portfolio of the user, and there are many JPEG files incorrectly described as a Vector models.

Thank you for that bring to our attention. I changed the title of the file that you have listed. • Published at the COP6 file types

    Hello

Can clarify you what the difference (or what they serve) among the following files published?  I see these files when I published a non-permitted SCORM project Captivate 6.

    file AR

    Assets folder

    folder called

    Dr. folder

    VR folder

    Captivate stylesheet

HTML Document with my file name

SWF file with my file name

    HTML Document named index

    HTML Document named multiscreen

    JScript Script file named project

    Standard named JScript Script file

    Thank you!

HTML5 questions currently become the most common theme in discussions of the Captivate forum.  Saying that what "works well for i-devices' is almost impossible.

All THE output files which publishes Captivate must be uploaded to the Web server. If you use the file multiscreen.html , then who is that you tell people to link to in order to launch the content.  It is supposed to allow you to give a unique link for users, regardless of whether they are on a desktop, Flash Drive PC runnign or on a mobile device that is not.

If you selected output SWF and HTML5 that you have selected the multiscreen option in the dialog box to publish, then Cp publishes for both platforms and the multiscreen.html file is supposed to lead the user to any content is appropriate for them. But as I said, this is not bullet-proof-guaranteed to work because HTML5 is the Wild West of the web development right now.

One thing I discovered today, it's that when the publication of content, you need to make sure there is no spaces in the name of the project title because Captivate creates your HTM and SWF file exactly names depending on what you enter, capitalization and including spaces.  Unfortunately, when you download this content on a web server that mixed capitalization case and spaces in filenames can break your links.

  • Help with the older file types

Technical question for all my fellow Mac geeks. I am trying to open Zip OLD files. Here is a picture of the gadget that back, we then used to store their and a screen shot of what the files as now when I open the drive of the back then. When I try to open these files, I get a message saying that Photoshop can not open them because it does not recognize the file type.

Anyone have any ideas? Is there a way to get around this? Alternatively, where I could ask about it?

    Thank you.

  • Need help with the advanced file Type changes

Somehow all my folders of changed files option.  Instead of the folder when you click it, it opens the search.

I know where and what to change, just do not know how.  Under Tools > folder options > file types, I select "files" and click "Advanced".  Of course, it says 'find '.  I click on 'new' under 'action', I type 'open', but what should I put under "Application used to perform action:"?  It won't let me not leave the field empty.  When I looked to see how it was done in 'file', 'edit' is gray.  I tried to look on other computers, but everyone has Vista, Vista doesn't even have a tab "file type" under folder options and I couldn't find it anywhere else.

Even if you don't know the answer, if you could look to see what it says on your computer and let me know.  Like I said could not find on Vista, I am running XP.

Yes, I know that I can do a right click on the folder and open it, and that's what I do.  It really happened to be a pain in the you-know-what.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When I tried to play on windows media player I get error msg-file type is not supported or the codec is not compatible with the player. They are .zip files. inside are the mp3 files that I need to listen to. can someone help me.

    Hello

You need to open ZIP files, which are compressed to make it smaller, then use the content
in the application appropriate - so if the audio or video content can use WMP.

Compress and uncompress files (zip files)
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/compress-and-uncompress-files-ZIP-files

Although Windows has integrated ZIP, you might be more comfortable using a program
with more features (and works with different types of compressed files).

    7ZIP - free
