  Question 1: I v.4.6 on my "BOLD". The maps and the GPS works fine, but I wonder if it is powered internally by Google maps. Anyone know?

  Question 1: Is now the answer. I installed this software "Latitude" and got "Google Maps" and "Latitude" as a menu option. Now, I have 2 mapping software on my "BOLD" taking up memory sparc resources. So, these two could not work together.

  Looks like you may have already joined latitude. I just joined to try to understand your problem. After joining, when on the map, tap Settings and "join latitude" has been replaced by simple "latitude". When I hit the latitude first button, nothing happened. After a few minutes, however, hit to display my profile picture, and if I press it, I can choose several parameters.

• Wireless adapter loss connections access after opening a browser

  Watch a few weeks ago, I noticed that the wireless radio option 'would disappear"of the Fn + F5 and tries to connect to a wireless network in the dial-up connections would be error with the error 'no wireless adapter found. '

  I've updated all the drivers, uninstalled, reinstalled in order, as suggested by other messages, but I think there is another problem. If I do not open a browser or Firefox, IE, AC works fine and the radio always wireless option appears in Fn + F5. As soon as I open a browser, wireless radio goes. I stay connected is not a problem, except when I want to connect to a different wireless network, or, if I get dropped for some reason any and need to reconnect. Then, the only option is to restart.

  I enabled the logging option and the only thing I could see was an error message disappears from the radio wireless around the exact time. This is the error message:

  Any suggestions?

  Problem solved--apparently this is caused by the Google Latitude gadget, I have installed on my iGoogle homepage. He took off and now all is welll...

• Touch keyboard for blackBerry Smartphones

  I have problems with the keys does not properly on the touchscreen keyboard.  When the phone is in portrait mode and I press a button that pops up is the key to the left end of the line ex: if I press L an A appears on the screen, if I press on U I get a Q.   If I turn the phone so that the keyboard is now on the same side as the USB port I get some buttons are on the bottom of the screen.  If I rotate 180 degrees, that none of the keys work.

  I also noticed what is happening in applications such as Google Latitude.  If I press on one of the icons on the bottm of the screen the only one that fits is the zoom key.

  If I do a battery pull things work well for a bit, and then it starts to work again.

  I have not seen anyone else posting about this and I hope it's just the phone.  I Exchange it tonight.

  Takes over the phone and the guy at the store ATT said that the screen was not calibrated correctly.  It replaces the ohone and so far, this one is much better.

  I asked him what I would do if this happens six months from now and he said that if I did a wipe and re-installed the operating system, it deals with this question.

  I solved the problem. Apparently the States must be entered as two-character abbreviations not the actual value (i.e. CA not California).

  I read in the forum after forum on Google and Mozilla and have tried many steps like turning off "geo-enabled" in all: config, etc.

  Every thing in the settings of Google is set to 'Pause', which I think is also disabled because you can turn them off, but when I go to the site of Google Maps, it always zooms in on my position real and true.

  I tried navigating to another city and then completely close the Firefox browser, but then when I go back to Google Maps, it zooms in to my actual location. How in the heck is Google Maps knows that if the Firefox browser is not it?

  When the page opens, here's what it says in the address bar:

  with the x being the rest of my exact location of lat/long. As I said, where is this latitude/longitude information from otherwise the browser?

  If geolocation is not used, then Web sites can do a reverse DNS glance upward from your IP address and is generally not very accurate.

  Firefox will always ask for permission before using the geolocation.

• How can I determine whether my 3340 Latitude Wi - Di?

  I just bought a refurbished 3340 latitude and the description says Wi - Di.  I looked at devices and see not listed.  I went to support Dell and entered the serial number page and did not see the device listed.   (In the list of windows devices, is there a reference number that I should look for?)

  Short buying the receiver to the TV and just try it out, is there a way to be sure that I have the camera before you buy the receiver?

• Can not enter password on Dell Latitude D630

  Just replaced the hard drive on the granddaughter of Latitude, reinstalled drivers and now can't get anything but my wifi password numbers. (It's a number and alpha)

  I read responses and messages on Intel ProSet as well as summer in google search in the hope of a response. I created a profile, tried all different options WPAWEP, etc. without success at this stage. I'm not sure if should try some of the suggestions since mine is more portable and heard there are problems with the password being a certain length, alpha or digital in this laptop

  The laptop connected fine before the change of hard disk and add drivers and was not a big problem.

  I see that when I hover over the little green circle next to my wireless connection it see the 'uses802.11 g and 802.11n network '.
  Don't know if the above is due to the choice that I tried in WEP which is present which uses the network.

  My own laptop uses the technology of the mifi. If I knew what it is for the XPS L501X. I could use it on this older Latitude?

  I read on the net on this subject and the terrible problems it seems to cause people. The answer is to let the software leave windows Networking Wireless as opposed to the software intel proset. 1. click on the icon of intel proset bottom right of the screen of the pc. A mini menu appears: select 'configure wifi. 2. the software will appear on the screen. Press F10 or select the Advanced menu option 'Use windows to manage wifi' and then press YES. 3. you will see an icon of windows network/wifi/pc appear near the downstairs proset icon on the right. Click on it. 4. you will now see your available under the normal windows wifi networks screen wifi networks. Click on your wifi network and you will be able to use the key. The problem here is that the driver for the wifi laptop card comes with wifi which... is poor control software. By choosing to let windows manage the side things wifi the only bit that is used by the proset software is the driver himself which windows then talk to directly. Simple!. Vandor

• Latitude 6430 - internal microphone does not work do not

  Hi, I am trying to get my internal mic work. Speakers work fine btw.

  I installed the latest drivers and when I look under recording devices I see only 3 devices:

  -Mic dock (IDT High Definition Audio Codec)

  -Jack Mic (IDT High Definition Audio Codec)

  -Rec. reading (IDT High Definition Audio Codec)

  Shouldn't there be something like a "Microphone Array"

  I have a Latitude E6500 laptop, running Windows 7 and that's how I activated the internal microphone:

  Panel--> Sound--> recording (tab on top)

  In the rectangle showing all the microphones that are currently turned on, if you do not see the internal microphone (or Mic/Line In, etc.), click R to bring up the menu that gives you the option to display disconnected and device off and check both.  The internal MIC is displayed. R click on the rectangle and set it as the default device, and if you want to use it for Skype, Google Voice, etc. Set it as Default Communications Device.as well.

  I don't know if it works on other Latitudes or with other Windows operating systems.

• Latitude E6410 internal display will not work unless the driver is disabled, regardless of the OS

  Hi all

  I had done research on google without end, dell community support research, etc. and cannot find the solution. The internal computer screen does not work on my Latitude E6410, except if the display driver is disabled. I tried all the drivers on the Dell Web site (including previous versions). The laptop has the card Nvidia nvs 3100 m. I've updated to the latest version of the driver available from Nvidia, and it still doesn't work. However, I can use an external monitor using a VGA connection.

  Tried with Windows 7 x 86 and x 64. X 86 and x 64 Windows 8. Windows XP x 86 same results.

  The strange thing is that if I leave the compatible driver, I can see the screen flash Dell OEM and the beginning of the GUI of Windows boot, but once the driver is started, the screen goes black.

  Ran the Dell diag and video passages. I think the problem is driver/software related like the screen works, but once the driver is loading with Windows, the screen stops video production.

  BIOS is updated. All the other drivers installed.

  Any suggestions?

  Laptop is still under warranty, so if I have to I can get a mobo replaced, but want to exclude all other possibilities first.

  OK, so I finally found the fix (literally, this morning).

  After browsing the internet, I found another site where this driver was the recommended fix and it worked:

  Now, my e6410 is not the nvidia driver and intel, only nvidia card.

  If your e6410 Intel and Nvidia, you may need to play with the pilots to see what will work the Nvidia driver (I'm guessing the driver Dell A08 works well).

  As a couple of my co-workers have the same e6410 and did not have this problem, it seems that the material appears to be the culprit, but only in the sense that a particular version of the Nvidia NVS 3100 m driver works with the Dell driver A08 and some will work with the driver Nvidia 302,80 (9.18.13.280) (which is installed by Windows as well). My Dell was purchases / delivered late 2010. My co-workers that Dell was purchase / shipped in early 2011. I don't know if the short time makes all the difference in what provided Dell (or correctly, what Nvidia to Dell Dell installed), but there is a difference.

  I also tried to upgrade the driver A08 (which is the version of the driver 8.17.12.5922 dated dated: 31/07/2010) to the 9.18.13.280 (as of: 11/06/2012) and it did not work. I had to go back to the 8.17.12.5922 to get the video to work again.

  My Nvidia NVS 3100 m firmware/bios version is: 70.18.53.00.04.

  I hope this helps anyone with this issue, but for now, it seems that the A08 driver is necessary for users of this issue.
