google virus strikes?
Hello
I have a Macbook and I'm used to using a Windows laptop complete with Anti Virus etc etc. including safe online that gives a green check mark or Red Cross next to all your hits when you search on Google. I must say that I hate not having this feature on my Macbook! I searched for the latest potential nasties on Facebook for my husband (who fell on one yesterday) using Google (you know that you are looking for on Snopes, typing in "Facebook virus 2016" etc.) and a YouTube video appeared in my Google search results that (based on descriptions you get under each blow) was clearly infected a video with a link.
I open it, but I have often wondered if you can pick up some bad guys just searching on Google and the blows that arise, even if you do not click on them?
My apologies if that crosses naïve, but I'm still learning!
Thank you.
Mac is a lot safer than computers when it comes to bad guys. Safari is much safer than Chrome and has many built-in safeguards.
There are no viruses that can attack Mac.OS X. For example, anti-virus programs are selling a cure for a disease that does not exist. And they are known for the Mac was systems.
A Mac peut picking up malware, but not if you just use common sense. Really need to actively invite some malware in for making it happen. This means that download and knowingly give your password for it to download. Mac offers all the protection you need with SIP (Protection of the integrity of the system). I have on the Protection of the integrity of system on your Mac - Apple Support
If you happen to download malware, you can use MalwareBytes to get rid of it. Malwarebytes was developed by one of our colleagues here to ASC. He received rave reviews and is on the more proven anti-malware for Mac software. If you use torrents, don't. Torrents are a good way to pick up malware because something can to hitchhike in on a download.
Safari pop ups are different and easier to deal with. In Safari 9.1 and later simply close the window. For previous versions force quit and hold the SHIFT key while restarting Safari.

Finally, away from programs that are intended to «clean your Mac» They can do damage to your system. Your Mac should any in the first place of cleaning. Any necessary cleanup is systematically supported by OS X.

Google Redirect Virus + corruption System32.
I have Windows Vista Enterprise and I recently discovered that I have a redirect virus that sends me spam search sites when I use Google and who also opens tabs in my browser unexpectedly. I found that he did this in Explorer and Firefox and I recently installed Chrome and it works at all.
Now, to try to resolve the problem, I ran sfc/scannow, and he discovered problems that could not be fixed. I can't access the log in the log/CBS folder like it says access denied.
I tried to use the restoration of the system, the event log, msconfig, administration tools, and when I try to open one of them, I get an error message that says: "the dependency service or group could start." And he cites the file in the folder Windows/System32 as having failed.
Basically, tells me that the virus can went ahead and corrupted each file or utility that I would use to remove any leaving my internet connection and the job of the Navigator.
McAfee has found 4 Trojan horses when I did a system scan yesterday and it deleted, but it seems that the damage is done and I need to find a way to fix it.

I have the problem of diversion of google redirect
you are looking for on the one hand, and it redirects to a commercial site or a list. Pages now freeze and when you click on a link, that nothing happens again from time to time, it works. I did a lot and fast MS malware Defender, research etc and nothing. I emptied my temporary files. I tried several times to do a system restore right before this happened (approx. 28/10/11), but when finished it sez he handed in the day I do it, not the day, I tried to restore. Restoration has worked in the past the 1 time I tried! I leave IE and Google chrome, everything works. I very rarely ever use chrome except to get the stuff on 1 site where they say to use it. Thank you

Google's crawlers will not read the Muse code?
Very smart friend is in a track of web technology at the University. Today, she informed me that Google reads is more non-standard code structure of Muse. (Strike 1) And Google will not catalog sites with the same priority as sensitive sites. (Strike 2)
So now the sites I designed using Muse all will have to be reprogrammed manually (and fact sensitive), in order to be listed by Google. (Strike 3)
:-(
Google will read your sites without problem as long as the SEO is done properly. Google requires a mobile version of a Web site - doesn't have to be reactive. You have to do is enter your Web site address in this site by Google to see if it meets the requirements of Googles.
The code is very good for Google... as long you as a designer use the appropriate uses of the H1 - H6 tags.

Does anyone else have a problem with Adware/Malware with Chrome and Safari?
Started having trouble there is 24 to 36 hours. It affects both my iMac and my Air. Pop-up windows whenever I try to click through an e-mail and within an application when I want to read on or click on a left/right arrow to display additional information.
I upgraded to El Capitan OS on both. Have reinstalled the security provided by my ISP, Charter-spectrum suite. I'm REALLY frustrated!
Browse the list of "applications" in the finder and find any number of malicious applications. whenever I'm fixing Mac of someone who is having this problem, I googled 'virus [application] '.
Hope this Helps!

Spyware is rampant in my Internet Explorer searches. How can I get rid of him?
I just got my computer on a workshop due to malware or virus infeciton... paid $100 and when we got it home, it was stil troubled. I am able to use Firefox without any problems, but my Internet Explorer 9 research is unreliable. Even if you see legitimate links listed, if you click on one of them, it will lead you to another window that has nothing to do with the question you cllcked... and looks very simplistic and completely false. I'm suspect spyware, but the calculation is impossible to install anything. Suggestions?

Add ons still carry Google redirect virus.
This should really be fixed. Happened for a while and I don't understand why better before prior rental was not made more thoroughly. I got the virus today and couldn't remove with malwarebytes and spybot search and destroy or even an Antivirus that I paid for. I've read about it does not same combo fix. Until it is fixed, I'll use something else. Me reminds a bit of Android that I like the most, but you see how bad the malware in their store of Google play is?
Sometimes a problem with Firefox can be a result of malware installed on your computer, you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:
- Microsoft safety scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit utility
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP, if you do not already have one.
More information can be found in the article troubleshooting Firefox problems caused by malware .

My question says it all. In addition, this has started happening yesterday. Initially, I have is to download the file. However, before I installed it, I checked with Google on this subject. When I discovered the file is a malicious virus or malware. So I never installed it. I ran PC Tuneup Maestro several times now and fixed the problems. However, this incentive to uplayermediaplayer - setup.exe is constantly on my computer screen. I do not install it. I want to rid my computer of this incentive of this file. I have Norton 360 Internet Security. I checked my registration to the N360 also. Via the Internet Options of Internet Explorer 8, I believe that I have cleared my cache on the computer (I'm not sure if this is the correct procedure to clear the cache of the computer?). It is a very annoying problem. I lost a lot of time trying to rid my computer of this alleged incitement to download and install this file. Earlier this morning, I tried to call N360 support, but the representative does not direct answers, give me lost a lot of time and really don't give me the sense of knowledge of this file or how to remove inviting them to download and install it.
Your Extensions list shows that you have BetterSurf installed 1.0, which is a malicious extension. This malware is also reported on Google Chrome and Internet Explorer, according to reports I've seen.
BetterSurf has been added to the Blocklist Mozilla today and should soon be disabled automatically. Ref: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/blocked/i486 (you can disable all away (Tools) of Firefox Addons -> Extensions list.)
You will also need to check your other browsers for this addon. To remove it from your computer, do a scan for malware with each removal tools listed in this article: Troubleshooting Firefox problems caused by malicious software

Is there a Virus fake Google Earth?
I have installed google earth on my mac several months ago. He did not appear in internet applications or plugins. Since then, I have tried to delete it, but can't find it. It has been present in Safari under plugins. I have disabled the plugin, but I would delete the whole program. Anyone heard of a googleearth fake horse of Trojan or a Virus? Anyone have any suggestions on how to find and delete?
Sorry, I meant when you look under the files in the library and go to internet, file plugins, the google earth plugin is not listed. Google Earth is also not listed under applications anywhere. I know it's there, because when I start Safari and go to the plugins section, it appears. How can I get it my computer?
