Hello terbow181, try the following steps after reinstalling firefox:
- Reset firefox (this will keep your bookmarks and passwords)
- then go to firefox > addons > extensions and where there are still extensions listed there, disable them.
- Finally, run a full scan of your system with security tools like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner to ensure that adware is not present in other parts of your system as well.

Is there a free application to detect the virus and Trojans on my iMac?
I think I have an evil entity of some sort on my computer. It is not malware. Is there a free app to download to search for viruses and Trojan horses to an iMac, OSX 10.9.5?
Thanks for the recommendations.

Mozilla do not send email about updated Firefox from a link in the email. Someone is trying to trick you into installing Malware or a virus on your PC under the guise of an update of Firefox.

Equium L40 very slow and Windows Defender found a Trojan horse
I was wondering if you could help me with a situation.
Turned my laptop on and Windows Defender found a Trojan, so I chose all clear. Then it arrived 5 minutes later and I pressed on delete everything again.
Afterwards my internet is incredibly slow and often freezing.
Opening files and folders often locked up but I could still click on the red X if it took 30 seconds to close after that I clicked on the X.I get now random pop ups not even on the internet.
Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you.
Hi Kieran
Have you tried different antivirus software?
I would recommend this. I use a software called Antivir freeware antivirus and it is nice.
It of free and you can download it from various internet sites. In addition, you could use an Ad-aware to kill this Trojan horse. It of also for free and maybe it could be useful too.
Google just to download it for free.If you won't be able to remove the virus from your system by using programs like Antivir, antivirus Norton antivirus, etc. and then use your Toshiba Recovery CD.
I think this should help.
Good bye

Hello
If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running
resident who can cause as many questions as the malware and may be harder to detect as
the cause. No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one
extreme overkill point and then run the cleaning only when you are sure that the system is clean. The methods below are for Windows 7 - Vista is very similar - for XP using RUN instead of
Start - Search,.It can be made repeatedly in Mode safe - F8 tap that you start, however, you must also run
the regular windows when you can.TDSSKiller.exe. - Download the desktop - so go ahead and right-click on it - RUN AS ADMIN
It will display all the infections in the report after you run - if it will not run changed the name of
TDSSKiller.exe to tdsskiller.com. If she finds something or not does not mean that you should not
check with the other methods below.

Hello, I'm not able to get online at all sites with my system XP displays a 404 error code after a Trojan horse (trojan. ADH.2) was found and quarantined by norton. The system is slow or bottleneck at all, but I think that the registry has taken hostage by this Trojan horse. I tried to run Add ons, reset IE8, reinstall IE8 offline, I tried different users, tried to run a different browser (firefox). I can ping all the sites in the cmd prompt, but have no luck connection in the browser. A ran mohamed, superspyware, spybot. Is that what I can do without having to re install? I don't have the OS XP Media.
original title: error 404 on all sitesI wouldn't worry IPSec.
I think the most important things to address are:1 search for rootkits.2 empty the DNS.3 reset the proxy settings.4 reset the TCP/IP and Winsock settings.Good luck! -
I tried to post a coupon on xianet and my computer has been taken over by a Trojan horse.
I tried to post a coupon on xianet and my computer has been taken over by a Trojan horse. My report says: Win32/fakeSysDef. He directs me to a data recovery site that charges $75 to solve the problem. No idea how to do to remove the Trojan horse?
Microsoft support addressed my problem and Javier took control of it and solved the problem.
It has been pretty smooth how I got the Trojan horse. When I tried to display a coupon, a dialog box came asking if I wanted to download a software. I clicked 'Cancel' and this is meant to 'run '. That's when all this started.
Thanks for help.

I have this undelieverd more of 30 e-mail that link that contains a Trojan horse. These have been posted because some stole my hotmail contacts list and mailed these stars in my name.
I realize, this is a free account, but there should be a way to prevent this from happening. I know he stole because I used only one of the contacts yesterday and I accidentally misspelled the address and did not notice that the mail bounced.
This is not only annoying, but a major concern for me because I use internet to Social Affairs and to promote my books.
I hold in my Inbox mailbox so that you can access that person. I will also make this post with the Crimes on Federal Internet site, called IC3.

Hello
the analysis showed 4 paths where the Trojan horse is incorporated. AVG has eliminated two of them. Then displays a warning
message moved object is greater than the limit of size of the Archives for two Trojans left and displays the file
path c/swsetup/sp56715/win32/data1.cab. I have a hp pavilion laptop 1d60us g6 using a 32-bit operating system. I have
chatted with an avg tech who told me that this Trojan horse cannot be deleted with the avg program I have but they can
remove it, but I have to pay for this service. Anyone know how I can remove it myself?
Hello
Remove the threat won't destroy your operating system and data.
I really don't understand why you choose not to delete the objects of threat.
Quarantine and remove threats are the only way you have unless you pay someone else, a lot of $$ or €€ to remove this or these for you.
Of course there is always the start over with a clean slate and install the software again "antivirus/anti-malware" freebie. That will just start all over again.
Using the ERD will not help. What you do not understand, is that the malware and threats is in the registry.
There is a new stand-alone Microsoft Scanner to remove the viruses, malware, and adware that is supposed to be quite effective. It's certainly worth a try.
