Google Voice Search has stopped working.

Search Google text-to-speech has stopped working. When I click on the microphone on the search widget, it evokes a box that says force close. He also does that when I click on voice search in the applications Panel. I went and put the widget in the trash, thinking perhaps that it works if I and put it back on but I can't find it to put it back. So now I can't look at all. Someone please help. Thank you

No there is no way to reinstall an application pre-loaded, but to do a factory reset.

    Try this:

  • RoboHelp HTML Version 11 and RoboHelp HTML to 2015 - why SEARCH has stopped working

Have a Robo HTML V11 existing project that has generated hundreds of times successfully. Updated for Robo 2015, copied all project files in a new folder.

    1. Convert the copied project of Robo2015
    2. Generated WebHelp and copied to the server
    3. Continually receive error message when you try to use the SEARCH.
      Receive the following error messages:
      error_1.png
      Then
      error_2.png
    4. Cannot clear the error or reset the SEARCH.

    Reinstalled Robo HTML V11

The original project folder has been opened in RoboHelp HTML V11 and now this project, when generated, no more a work of RESEARCH.

Tried to delete the whxdata folder in the hope that will regenerate recreate properly, obviously did not work.

Can someone shed light on this situation and provide a solution. I have updated the online help for the application, but may not post an online help system that doesn't have a SEARCH function works

    I just remembered this thread.

  • Tab 'Search' has stopped working. CHMS

I maintain several. CHMS for a customer. For some reason I can't understand, the tab "Search" of all. CHM that I've recently updated is no longer works. Any attempt to research translates into "no topics found." I checked that the older versions of. CHMS have tabs to search for work, but everything. CHM that I've updated this year is more equipped with a 'Search' tab. I even took one of the projects of the last year, is made absolutely no changes, recompiled, and voila, search is broken.

I checked that I have all the settings correctly on the Windows Properties dialogue box, as well as all necessary. DLL is correctly installed and registered.

The only change in my setup, it's that I've upgraded to IE7.0 (finally!) earlier this year. And I follow all the updates of Windows. I've been using and continue to use RoboHelp HTML X5.0.2. (I have not upgraded because, in my opinion, it was not worth my $500. I am a independent and stood for a more robust upgrade).

Any ideas? Frankly, I guess that an upgrade of Microsoft has messed up the work and I'm stuck, unless I have spend money...

    Nita Beck

I found the solution, after picking up on an idea from Rick. Although I checked for and found the .dll file Rick mentnioned, I found that I was missing the itcc.dll which is part of the 1.x Microsoft HTML workshop. Once I have recorded this .dll and then recompiled in RoboHelp, the Search tab once more working properly.

More related system errors are recorded and get an exact copy of the relevant report is important. Unfortunately, is not easy to understand reports and most of the users computer need help with their interpretation. I have to say later interpretation.

2 Event Viewer includes three main newspapers of Windows. Here's the Application, security, and system. For purposes of troubleshooting system is by far the most important.

    3. to access the system log, select Start, Control Panel, administrative tools, Event Viewer, in the list on the left of the window select Windows and the system logs. Place the cursor on the system, right click and select filter current log. Check the front of the error and click OK and see you only reports errors. Click the Date and time column header to sort. You may need to click a second time to see the last report above.

    4. a tip for posting copies of error reports! Run Event Viewer and double-click the error you want to copy. Click the copy button to place a copy in the Clipboard and close Event Viewer. Now start your message and paste it into the body of the message. Make sure that it is the first dough right out of the event viewer.

    6. all reports have stamps date and hour and when troubleshooting, it is important to focus on the latest reports. Reports of studies from the point when the computer is started, and then check if a similar report appeared in the previous session. If errors do not repeat investigation as to why they happen is wasted effort.

    7. in the individual reports the most important information is the event ID and Source such as these help when looking for help on the internet. Looks like you may have a virus or other malware. Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.

If that suits him fine. If this is not the case, use system restore to go back to an earlier date at the beginning of the problem. To run system restore, click Start-> programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore. Click on the box that says show more restore points.

    -

You can check the corrupted system files. Open an administrator command prompt and run SFC if the above does not help. Click START, and then type CMD in the search box, right-click on CMD. EXE and click run as administrator. Then, from the command prompt type sfc/scannow.

    -

Finally if all else fails, you can look at the rather cryptic system event log. To do that click on start-> Control Panel-> administration-> event viewer tools. Once in Event Viewer system log-click and scroll entries looking for these "error" with indicator see if you can find guidance on where the problem may be.

    `

When you get your system in good working condition, I invite you to back up your system up to an external hard drive and make it regular periodic updates.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

I get a Microsoft Search Protocol Host has stopped working the alert box. How to solve this? It gives me the option to 'Search online (recommended)', but when I click on it nothing happens. Tried to restart and used Malware Bytes and my security suite Norton to seek something malicious, without success. Any suggestions?

    Hello

    1. have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

    2. when exactly you get this error?

I suggest you try to reset to a new start Indexing Options by removing and then rebuild the index and check if it helps.
Your search index requires virtually no maintenance. However, if the index looking for files that you know problems must be in a location indexed; You may have to re-create the index.

    To rebuild the index:

    a. open indexing and Search Options by clicking the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Indexing Options.

    b. click Advanced Options, click the index settings tab and then click on rebuild. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  • Impossible to get Google earth to work; Google Earth has stopped working

I can't Google earth to work after downloading Google earth, when I try to use it I get a message that Google Earth has stopped working. Is there a way to tell if my graphics card works or if I need a new graphics card?

As far as I know, these are the requirements for Google Earth - https://support.google.com/earth/answer/20701?hl=en. Make sure that your PC and graphics are satisfied, and that your graphics card drivers are up to date with the latest version of your PC manufacturer supports the web site.

Is there any (exact) error message and the error code given? There are clues that are recorded in the Event Viewer log? (look in "Local event viewer" - "summary of administrative events' - 'Criticism' or 'Mistakes' for any reference to the time and date of the accident).
