Cody, I'm brand new to this and this is my first request for assistance.  I'm looking for an answer to the question you answered on 10 June 2010, a person having problems with my HP printer.  I have the same request to disk GPBaseService2.

Here is my response from HP: I've almost worn out my printer installation disc in uninstalling and reinstalling.

Hello Robert,.

Thank you for contacting HP Total Care.

After reading your email, I understand you get error message "GPBase".
Service2 is missing to insert the disc.

Robert, I wish I could help with this issue however, I wish to inform you that you receive the error message isn't an error printer. It is a Windows error and you need to connect to Microsoft for repair.

If you need help, please reply to this message and we will be happy to help you further.

HP said guys must bail out their release they say that they are not of it.

Hello

1. When you encounter this error message?
2. this message of random error or you get while launching or using a particular application?
3. What is the number of the HP printer model?

Method 1.
I recommend you to perform a clean boot to find the application with which it is associated. See the article below for instructions on how to start your computer in a clean boot state.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: When the diagnosis is complete do not forget to reset the computer to a normal startup. Follow step 7 in the above article.

Method 2.
Similar problem is also discussed on the HP forums, where a user has solved this problem by uninstalling and reinstalling the printer software.

I hope this helps.

Thank you, and in what concerns:

What is the faulty drive, or the software that is missing

    Hello

What happens if you close all programs and then insert the disc?

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you have problems with CD/DVD drive:

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

    Hope these helps.

  • Whenever I have to play the game, I have to insert the disc 2 in my DVD ROM despite installing the game on my hard drive.

    Hello

Whenever I have to play the game, I have to insert the disc 2 in my DVD ROM despite installing the game on my hard drive.
Can someone help me with a cure for this (IE run the game without the CD?) I can run Microsoft Flight simulator without inserting the DVD in my DVD-rom.

original title: query on Microsoft Train Simulator 2001

I suspect that the game has Digital Rights Management in there (i.e., copy protection) and it checks for you ensure that you physically have the disc so that he knows that you are not a thief.  Many providers of game assumes that you are a thief and you prove that you're not demanding that the disc is in the DVD player when the game takes place.  What I do is to use a program like Alcohol 52%, a free program that can make a copy of a DVD/CD and include in the image copy protection so that you can use a DVD player virtual to mount the image file instead of having the real DVD mounted in a real drive.

    ·         What version of Combat Flight Simulator you try to play?

  • When I reinstalled windows xp media Center 2005, I get a prompt to insert the disc of windows xp professional service pack 2 CD, I don't have it, what should I do then?

When I reinstalled windows xp media Center 2005, I invited to insert the disc of windows xp professional service pack 2 CD, I'm not available, what do I do next? If I canceled it, I know that windows installed yet to complete the work. But I'll soon get error and windows do not work properly.

I am frustrated with Microsoft Corp., why didn't they make things easier for users to enjoy. I noticed all the announced sounds so pleasant during installation.  Everything suddenly it asks for windows professional service pack 2 CD.  where I go to get this information from?

Can someone help me right now, I am desperately wanted to complete this work. I left my computer hang for hours and hours. waiting for windows xp professional CD disk to copy and install.

  • Transfer problem - files Transfer Wizard says "Please insert the disc 1'... If I select OK it tells me the wrong disc is in the pc"

I did a PC Restore on my Dell, I saved my files on USB 3... now it's time to download them again, the transfer Assistant tells me that "transfer is underway" and files are "fly through the window". But another window appears on the screen telling me "Please insert the disc 1'... If I select OK it tells me that the wrong disk is in the pc... it isn't." The transfer takes an age without a movement minute on the bar "load..." Any suggestions?  Kind regards.

Did you just copied the files to USB devices or did you use some kind of backup software?

If the latter, what is the name of the application?

If the former can, you go to (at least one of) files on the USB key (for example, to open it)?  And what happens if you try to just copy one of the files (and use 'copy' rather than 'move' to ensure that the file on the USB device is not removed).

  • Error-insert the disc when try to open the flash drive.

Original title: why connect my USB drive as an external drive.

When the flash drive is plugged into the USB port, it seems that it will be added as a flash drive, but then the following equipment added window indicates that an external hard drive has been added.  When I go into windows Explorer to open the drive in Explorer mode, it says to insert the disc.

    Hi JimScottATO,

    We will try this.

First of all, make sure that you are connected under an administrator account on your computer. Then plug in your USB key.

Click START then right click on my computer , then click MANAGE

In the new window, click MANAGEMENT OF DISKS

Find the name of your flash drive and right click.

Click on the letter of change of road and railways

And then change the drive letter to something not already taken by another drive on the computer, such as "x" or "v".

    Hello

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

According to the request, I understand that your system is unable to recognize the F: drive after inserting a disc. I appreciate your efforts to solve this problem.

The issue could be due to one of the following reasons - the drive might be bad, might have a cable loose or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Given the clicking of the drive I suggest you to clean the optics on the drive by wiping with a barely damp q-tip.

If there is a possibility of cables in bulk. I suggest to remove the power supply, then make sure that the cables at both ends. Remove and replace firmly. For laptops, you can often clean power and contacts data with a pencil eraser.

    1. Open the Control Panel.
    2. Click on Device Manager and select CD/DVD.
    3. Double click on the drivers tab.
    4. Click update drivers and right click on the Uninstalldisk.
    5. Reboot- it will refresh the default driver stack.
