GPIB PCI does not connect to agilent 35670 A * IDN? query does not

Newbie here. I try to get the agilent 35670A to transfer data using labview with gpib problem lies in the fact that I can't start because my pci card does not recognize the agilent. Ive downloaded a driver ahead of the hand. measurement and Automation Explorer is not with the entrance to the correct address. I am at a loss of where to go next.

It is simply not true. You do NOT set the address of the GPIB controller at the same address for any instrument that you have connected. You should have just left alone to the default address of 0. I would say that finding a GPIB tutorial. Each device on the bus must have a unique address.

  • Communication of visa with Agilent 35670 A dynamic signal Analyzer

    Hello

I'm working on a project that is to use a dynamic Agilent 35670 A and LabView 7.1 Spectrum Analyzer. Use the 35670 I downloaded the corresponding and registered in the libarary INSTR 7.0 LAbView instrument driver as should.

All the downloaded drivers require the instrument to communicate through VISA which is very good.

Now, I turn on my instrument, open Measurment & Automation explore and search for devices. Research has managed to find the device at the address (12) so I go to my Labview program and add a 'VISA Rescource name' control which should also the device in the menu drop-down list...

However, all it lists is the GPIB card to the address (0) and another address (26), I don't know where his acquired address (26) since there is no other instrument connected. There is no sign of address (12)...

Now, I check all my cables and connections and return to Measurment & Automation Explorer and "Analysis of the Instruments" and the message that no instrument is connected...

I try a few times but to no result so I was wondering is there a problem with the VISA for the Agilent 35670 communication (this could be a matter of Agilent also?)

    Thanks Dennis,

I have tried a few different things... changed the cables, used another computer with GPIB card, but it doesn't improve anything.

Then, I tried the connection GPIB-USB-B, which required and update to 2.2 OR-488, and the updated version seems to have solved the problem.

Thanks for the reply, it was late last night when things got sorted and I forgot to reply to this topic.

A form of engineering applications OR provided excellent assistance on this by e-mail, after several hours, it was determined the card cannot or is more than likely not a map OR but a card cleaner Mitutoyo.

Mitutoyo has been kind enough to leave out all pertinent information on the card to be of any help for the uninitiated, thanks a lot.  Allthough Mitutoyo delivered the software installation OR with the software package here it turns out that you do not install the software.

    Brilliant!

The configuration is done via TSNS (Top Secret Ninja Stuff), or information without papers.  More brightly...

And they want to upgrade me to a more recent software, DO NOT set.

Unfortunately, I assumed that the card was a material, OR because of the automatic install program supplied with the Mitutoyo software.

  • How to make calls to my board NI GPIB-PCI using VC ++ 1.52?

I'm making calls to my new NI GPIB-PCI board using an application which was developed using MSVC ++ 1.52 on a Windows 98 operating system. With the help of MAX I can see the Board of Directors and the instruments on the GPIB communication works fine but when I try to use my application it tells me that it cannot find the device. I think the problem is that the application cannot find the GPIB Board. I decided to rebuild the application using the new API, but then I realized that the new API is for 32-bit environments. 1.52 MSVC ++ is a 16-bit environments. Any ideas how I can make this happen?

    Thank you

  • GPIB write does not work, but ibwrt in MAX not

    Hi all

I am trying to send commands to a very old Klinger CC1.1 motion controller by the GPIB in labview 8.6.  I tried to use a GPIB-USB-HS and a GPIB-USB-B.  The Klinger takes ASCII commands simple adjustment of the speed, the number of steps, etc.  When I try to send these commands by using the GPIB write under VI in labview, the Klinger appears to be not getting properly (I put it move 100 steps, send the go command, and it will go all the way at the end).  When I send commands using MAX, they work very well.  I used spy OR moniter orders I sent and it seems that the only difference is that MAX uses the ibwrt command, while Labview uses GPIB write.

Is it possible to use the ibwrt command in labview?  If this isn't the case, why don't the controls receive correctly when transmitted via GPIB write?  I tried to use the initialize VI GPIB, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Depends on what you mean by "a path". Technically, you can call the ibwrt command by calling the DLL in which it resides. But I guess it's probably not what you mean.

New code should use VISA rather than the GPIB function. The problem may be with the mode used. You can download a NI Spy capture? It is better to download a capture you make using MAX, which indicates a reliable operation and a capture using LabVIEW doing the same thing.

  • Update of El Capitan 10.11.5 does card PCI does not work

When I upgraded to 10.11.5 my PCI-424 card (it's a MOTU audio interface card) has stopped working. Rather than appearing as 'PCI-424 In' it appears now as "optical / digital» Ditto for out when I go to System - Sound preferences.

I took the card and rebooted and it still showed the "digital optical". I put the card in another location and the same.

Clearly El Capitan is not to recognize the PCI card correctly but I don't know how to do this.

Also, I spent in El Capitan 10.11.5 10.8.5 Cougar.

    Help, please...

    Thank you!!!

It's what MOTU has to say about it. You have the right driver?

  • Compaq 6200 Pro - serial port PCI does not

    Hello

I have a problem with installing the correct drivers for HP Compaq PC 6200 Pro Small Form Factor,

I can't get PCI serial port to work on Win XP...

I tried all the official drivers on the HP support site.

The PC came with pre installed Windows 7, so I'm downgrading to Win XP.

    Hello:

It's like I initially thought... the AMT driver.

Apparently, you have to manually install by clicking on the device in Device Manager, click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver. Select the driver manually search in a specific location, and then go to C:\ SWSETUP\sp52247 and install the drivers for this folder.

Please read this post where I helped someone with a similar machine (the 6200 is a smaller version of the 8200) in the forum of business support. He could not get the driver to install by running the file. He had to install it manually, and it worked for him. So, it should work for you too.

    http://h30499.www3.HP.com/T5/business-PCs-Deskpro-Evo/8200-elite-PCI-serial-port-driver/TD-p/4835455

You can use the drivers that I posted in the link above if you want to, but I think that they are the same.

  • NI PXI - 8361 PCIe card not detected

    Hello community,

I'm trying to mount this PXI system and running on a computer that is running Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit. We already have a system running on another computer running Windows XP 32-bit.

    Chassis OR PXI-1036

OR PXI-8360 controller connected to the PC via card OR PXI - PCIe-8361

    NI PXI-6220 multifunction data acquisition

    NI PXI-2570 relay module

    OR PXI-GPIB

I spent a day or two trying to download different drivers and could see the NI PXI-PCIe 8361 NI Max card, but I did not see the chassis. I then tried uninstalling all software of OR, so that I could do with care that it was installed in the proper order:

    1. shut down the PC and PXI system, disconnected from the PXI from your PC system.

2 installed Labwindows + Labview (Developer Suite 2011)

3 installed NI PXI Platform Services CD that came with the PXI (Version 3.2.3) system

4 installed 'System NI Driver Set 2014.05' a Flash disk that came with the PXI system

    5. off the PC and then on the PXI system and connected to the computer.

After turning on the PC, I see that MAX NOR does not seem able to recognize the NI PXI-PCIe 8361 card as I have before.

At this point, I thought that it would be better to ask the community for help rather than start abritrarily updated drivers again.

Thing some Chris!  HM this is interesting.  Looks like this might be a BIOS problem, in accordance with the following article -http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/81A788D0076390FA86257BF9002F9983?OpenDocument.  The link also shows that some BIOS update the troubleshooting steps.  I hope this will redirect you to a resolution.

  • Entered analog PCI 6251 not extent of tension of a mass flow controller

    Hey,.

I have a data PCI 6251 M acquisition with a break in Council SCXI 1302.

I'm trying to measure a 0 - 5v analogue output voltage from a mass flow controller (check picture of PIN)

When I measured with a digital multimeter the voltage of the flow signal (PIN2) and common signal (PIN12) I get a stable right tension between 0 and 5v depending on the flow set up. I can control the amount of the charge by providing a data output set point PIN8 and common PIN12 of the 0 - 5V analog signal.

Now when I connect the signal flow PIN2 and on my DAQ signal common PIN12 AI and AIGND, I don't get readings on my labview VI of the AI. In addition the flow does not meet the setpoint voltage, it get stuck in a range of values no matter how I vary the OD 0 - 5V of data acquisition in setpoint PIN8 and PIN12 common signals.

I have to add that I tried different ports HAVE with results of sam, and I also tried to measure my supply voltage with my HAVE and all the good work.

It seems that the entry of AI affects the AO output voltages to my charge. What would cause this? That would be a problem of impedance adaptation?

    Management or ideas are appreciated.

    Thank you

    Ali T.

Update for anyone that might interest you:

I not connected to the ground of the power of the mass of the signal of FJA FJA.

Once I did the acquisition of data reads all data as expected.

So it turns out not to be a problem of acquisition of data, OR at all, but a game of question for my part, as I suspect is the case with most of the problems.

    Jeff Merci for your comments.

  • GPIB pci windows xp

I have a map of National Instruments PCI-GPIB. Markings on the Board of Directors are N114, 109A06A, Assy: 1685138-01. The board is a low profile.

After installing 2.7.3, I insert this card in a Dell Optiplex GX520 with Windows XP SP3. Windows cannot find the driver for this card. It displays the yellow question mark with PCI controller Simple.

The vendor ID is 1093. The device ID is A 50, 1.

    What should I do next?

Is this Council just not supported?

    Finally solved the problem.

During my research on the problem, I installed 3.0.2, that has not fixed the problem. I installed 3.0.2 because it's the version that should be used according to the table at the URL, http://www.ni.com/white-paper/5326/en. This is a very handy table.

What I've found, is that I have three different cards PCI-GPIB form factors. 1 Board is not recognized as a plug-and-play. Tip 2 appears as a plug and play, but does not have a corresponding Windows XP driver. Board 3 installs properly in Windows XP 32.

3rd chessboard is a PCI full height with a device ID of C801.

Room 2 is a PCI half height with a 5A 01 device ID.

1 Board is a PCI full height, but do not plug and play and so I do not know its device ID.

All three boards are labeled PCI-GPIB. Two boards are labeled N114.

To be really more information on the different variants of PCI-GPIB cards.

    Just have the correct hardware.

  • GPIB read and write commands of Agilent 54642 oscilloscope

    Dear friends,

I would like to acquire a waveform of Agilent 54642 ocsilloscope in the LabView 7.1 via GPIB program. Can anyone mention the GPIB read and write commands for the oscilloscope even?

Furthermore, on the subject of the LabView program, is it fair to place blocks to write two GPIB followed by a single GPIB read block (everything series), as well as an indicator, in order to check the waveform in LabView?

Kindly help me with your answers...

    Look forward to y...

Thank you very much in advance...

Download the 7.0 driver that Albert gave the link to, make sure that you have installed NI-VISA and run the getting started sample which is part of the pilot. If it does not, please elaborate on the error codes that are reported.
