    My moden GPRS doesn't work when I plug it into the USB port of the docking station or if I use a USB port hub. If I plug it directly into the USB port of the laptop, I get an unknown device in Device Manager.

    I tried to reinstall the chipset of my Toshiba Tecra S11-15 t. I can't the device runs directly from USB port on the laptop. I have WIN XP Professional.

    Hey,.

    I n t have experience with such GPRS or UMTS modems, but you can try to remove the USB ports on the Device Manager, and then restart your laptop. After that the ports will be recognized automatically and USB drivers will be reinstalled.

    I guess you also need a driver for this USB modem so I would recommend also reinstall this driver after removing the USB ports from the Device Manager.

    Hello world

    I have some pre-sales questions on laptop nice R500 - 11 K.
    I want to install XP pro on this machine. The device is delivered withou XP Recovery CD. (model 11A C)
    There are beautiful collection for R500 XP drivers so I can install XP manually.

    NES http://eu.Computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=eu&mode=allMachi & action = search & teddProduct = 747

    Model K 11 has another installed UMTS/HSDPA/EDGE/GPRS module unlike models. Great!

    What about drivers for this module?
    There is not any UMTS/HSDPA/EDGE/GPRS modem drivers listed in the list of drivers for Vista or XP or device.

    So the question is, if I want to install XP, where can I find the driver for 3G module manually?
    Is the component of another driver driver?
    -Does anyone know the name and the type of this module 3G? In my view, the module is provided by aint Toshiba of the seller.

    Anyone have any experience with XP on R500 11 K?

    Seems that the driver has been downloaded not however the Portégé R500 was delivered with a * Novatel MSM6275 card * ThreeG (Qualcomm should be manufacturing the chip) and if you want, you could try to download the driver of the 3rd site part.

  • PROBLEMS WITH 3G DATA CARD OR GPRS CARDS - 10 ERROR MESSAGE

    Hi all, just found this Mobile tech support 3. If you try to install a 3G data card or any other card GPRS, before we do, please go to the control panel > system > hardware devices and disable the Toshiba Blue Tooth device. Next, install your datacecard/GPRS card.

    Once you have installed your GPRS card / Data, you can then re-enable your blue tooth.

    The reason is that blue tooth comms channel will be hogging the resources for that.

    Thanks to Peter @ 3 Mobile tech for this support.

    Good navigation

    Hello

    Dial-up connection will definitely work. I tried several times.

  • P850 satellite - cannot connect Magelland Explorist GC GPRS

    Recently, I replaced my Satellite A200 on Vista with a P850 Satellite running Windows 7.

    I never had a problem connecting the GPS to the A200, but he does not accept the P850.

    The rspg reports 'connected to the PC.

    The P850 responds with "USB device not recognized" (one of the devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it.). The GPS is listed as "Unknown USB device" and the recommendation is to "try to re-connect. If Windows still does not replace the unit.

    Most of the time Windows does not recognize it always, but the A200 has no problem, grateful that she, so there is no fault with the GPS.

    Several times I got a message something like "this device can perform faster if you connect it to a port high speed." Since all ports are at the same speed that presents a different problem, but from time to time over the years, I got the same answer on the A200 which has only USB ports high speed.

    When I bought the P850 the Getting Started Guide has indicated that I could choose between 32 and 64-bit installation, but Harvey Norman to Mildura seems saved the choice by choosing 64-bit. This could be the reason for my problem and if yes is there an easy way to figure out who or what I have to redo the last work of four weeks?

    Unfortunately I can't go back to Harvey Norman to Mildura until October of next year, and I don't know how useful a WA according to Harvey Norman will be.

    Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, as I am tiring of execution of two laptops for a job.

    Hello

    I don t think its Toshiba laptop related question
    Your A200 used Vista and the new P850 using Windows 7
    Maybe it is not compatible with the 64-bit... who knows...

    You should check if there are a few known issues with Win 7 and the Magelland Explorist GC GPRS
    For this I recommend to visit the support page of the Explorist GC GPRS Magelland manufacturer.

    PS: you can switch to the version 32 bit... do you must re-run HARD drive recovery (F8-> fix my computer-> HDD recovery)

    Maybe, he will work with 32 bits of the system

  • AT commands using TCP/IP connection with Modem GPRS

    Hello, I am trying to contact a GPRS Modem, with the controls, I tried this manually by sending commands through Telnet and software Hercules for modem responds correctly.

    I want to do the same thing using a Labview VI, so when I'm runnning the VI, it seems that orders are send correctly but I get no response from the modem. I Don t know if I use characters \n\r ok.

    I'd appreciate any help

    When you press the Enter key in a terminal program he normally sends the line and return character jump. You must do the same in your LabVIEW channels by adding these characters at the end of a chain of command.
    Activate the backslash code in the right click menu of your control of the chain or the constant and adding \r\n at the end of your chain of command.

  • How to join a web server with a GPRS connection?

    Hello

    We have developed a cRio Datalogger and we control in a control panel with the cRio connected to our LAN.

    Now, we want to make the connection even the cRio with a Modem - Router Multitech GPRS (a Multimodem with DynDns capabilities). The problem is that our GPRS service provider gives a private IP, so we cannot access the cRio from the internet.

    We did a test with a sample that comes with Labview, a TCP connection multiclient, we run the vi client in a PC connected to the internet with GPRS Modem and server in another PC in our local network. The perfect example is run. In the vi client we have added a few indicators to indicate the network address a remote port, but we cannot open a table of customer order vi from the computer running the vi server, using the collected information. The network address, it is not an IP number is a name and to our surprise, the remote port number is different than the port used by the example.

    Conclusion, we can make a TCP/IP connection if the communication is started by the device with GPRS Modem, but we cannot do the opposite. The problem is the same to have a web server running on a PC in a LAN and want to access it from the internet without having access to the router configuration.

    And because the remote connection of façade is started by the PC who want to open us cannot operate.

    Any idea is possible, we want to do this?

    With the help of:

    LV 8.5.1

    Thank you

    Hello

    We solved the problem by using a SIM with mobile broadband enabled. With this service, the cell phone company has an IP address public (here in Argentina).

    Hi Ken,

    Thanks for the reply.

    I found that the services required to support the diap network are some corrupted how (in other words, when you enter Services, you can start/stop/restart the service. all options is disabled). I'm not looking for is the first cause, but I think so. FYI, I already turned off all firewalls including Windows Firewall.

    I will fix this by reinstalling a new copy of Vista. Tired of the trousbleshooting.

  • Z10 Z10 Blackberry BlackBerry will work on GPRS?

    I use Z10. For the first installation & registration Blackberry ID, sufficient WiFi or require a Blackberry internet service? Also for the use of applications like facebook, app world, youtube etc., does gprs connection sufficient?

    Hello and welcome to the community!

    BB10 devices no longer use BIS, so not that it is not necessary. Standard data plans are usually quite adequate to use devices to BB10 for exclusive BB services, including any that you listed. Your situation may vary depending on your specific carrier and their plans, so you really need to talk to them to be sure.

    Good luck!

  • Toggle the services(EDGE/GPRS) of data by program for OS 7.0 and higher

    Hello

    My application must disable WiFi and turn on the services(EDGE/GPRS) of data by program. And when data services are activated, send a request to the server, and after that, disable the services of data and turn on Wi - Fi.

    Using following code:

    1. to disable Wifi:

    If (WLANInfo.getWLANState () == WLANInfo.WLAN_STATE_CONNECTED) {}
    peripheral is connected via Wi - Fi
    Radio.deactivateWAFs (RadioInfo.WAF_WLAN);

    }

    2. to turn off data services:

    Radio.deactivateWAFs (RadioInfo.WAF_3GPP)

    3. to activate data services of:

    Radio.activateWAFs (RadioInfo.WAF_3GPP);

    Reference: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Java-Development/How-to-turn-off-Data-services/m-p/1171307#M1...

    This does not work for me. I don't get the persistence solution.

    I searched a lot but little do not a solution.

    How can I turn on/off data through code services.

    Thanks Peter!

    This API is works well at my end when I checked with BIS activated SIM:

    To activate data services:
    Radio.activateWAFs (RadioInfo.WAF_3GPP);
    It is located on the mobile network.

    To turn off data services:
    Radio.deactivateWAFs (RadioInfo.WAF_3GPP);
    It turns off the mobile network.
