GPS coordinates in the search for the card Module box
Can you put GPS coordinates in the search box of card module CC Lightroom? If so, what is the format? Support said it was for the names. I thought that I used to be able to do about 6-8 months ago.
You can put the lat/long coordinates in the map search box:
In my view, that he accepts all formats that Google agrees (although I have not tried all).

What device / gadget will track my GPS and create a log for the card module?
Hello!
My camera does not have GPS, and it's a pain to manually find everything if I want to record on the card module. I recently saw a video saying that I could wear something with me at the same time, and this would create a newspaper that I could download to lightroom and he would marry the two sets of information together. I don't know what to look for or to start google gadget. I have a garmin car sat nav, but I think this is a big bulky to carry around (and I only am unaware it would create a newspaper). I would like the price up the cheapest possible option for this see if worth it. Anyone know what kind of things I need to get, or can recommend you a cheap camera.
Thank you!
This came up several times recently, while I recorded and released a video to demonstrate:
If it helps, please be sure on this issue as "replied," to help others to find in the future.

How can I search for and work in the card module without losing my selection
I'm going through my old photographs which predate the geolocation and adding my best guess as to their sites via the card module, but I'm frustrated.
My biggest fear is selections. In the library module, I look at and find a set of photographs that were taken at the same place and I select them. I then go to the card module and move found, sometimes look, the place where the photographs were taken. Now I'll return to drop the selection in the map and... OH NO.... There is no selection. Double angst is I click back in the library and I scrolled to the beginning of my group of photographs.
Deselect photos is the biggest mistake of the UI that Lightroom is making in this sequence. I wonder if there is something I can do to avoid it being may have a second method of a quick temporary group of photographs.
The other related question I have, is if someone has a suggestion of how to mark these photos as the type of GPS data. for example, it could come from the camera, it could come through a trace log, or maybe it's just my best guess. Maybe it is already possible to determine.
When you find the photos you want to taken in one place, select them, then put them in a quick Collection (press B)
Select the quick Collection, then go to the card with the film Module running. You will then be able to work ONLY with this series of photos that are taken in the same place

convert gps coordinates in the text of the actual location
In the card module, I have information for photo tagged gps, including research actual address information. My question; is it possible that I may transfer this information to address (not gps coordinates) for the print module search without "copy / paste"?
Forgive me if I'm stating what is obvious, but if you have your image georeferenced and reverse georeferenced it (i.e. got city, country, etc.) info, and that is stored in the appropriate places (look in the metadata Panel 'location'), then that's all you need to do. You are always in Lr if the info is still there. If your wondering how to view the slide show, then it's as simple as choosing a text overlay, and then selecting the metadata you want in the overlay. In this case, to say 'city '.

Locations saved in the card module not migrated
Hello
I copied the mac to PC win10 Lightroom Catalog.
Everything seems fine, except that my locations stored in the card module are not there.
Where these are stored?
I looked through the tables with a browser of SQLite, but I have not found where location data is stored.
Thank you
Stefano
If you have the store pre-configured with the box checked catalog then you would have it transferred with the catalogue.
Now you can simply migrate Mac locations for windows in the following locatioon:
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Locations------my position.

The card Module allows to display the locations of the pictures in the library?
A lot of my photos are geotagged, but only a few (relatively speaking) were keyworded with place names. In LR is it possible to use the card Module to display the locations of the pictures in the library? Which would be quite easy to find all photos taken in a given area.
I read the help article: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/help/maps-module.html, but, it seems that photos in the film appear in the card Module, not all the photos in the photo library. And I guess you can not add 300 000 + pictures of the film to make them appear in the map display.
Hello
Greetings!
Yes, the photos must be in the card module to mark in the card module.
To put 300 000 images on film, you put all the images in a collection.

Trouble getting GPS coordinates in the Simulator
Here is the code I use to get the coordinates of the GPS by train. It seems that every time that it expires and ends by 0 for the latitude and longitude of return even if I put together a location in my simulation-> GPS location... window and entered in the Options-> advanced-> GPS-> was cool my main application class, this function is called by a button.
public void GetCurrentLocation() { Criteria ct = new Criteria(); //ct.setAddressInfoRequired(false); //ct.setAltitudeRequired(false); ct.setCostAllowed(true); ct.setHorizontalAccuracy(Criteria.NO_REQUIREMENT); ct.setVerticalAccuracy(Criteria.NO_REQUIREMENT); ct.setPreferredPowerConsumption(Criteria.POWER_USAGE_LOW); //ct.setPreferredResponseTime(10000); //ct.setSpeedAndCourseRequired(false); try { myLP = LocationProvider.getInstance(ct); myLP.setLocationListener(new myLocListener(this), -1, -1, -1); } catch (Exception ex) { return; } } public void GotLocation(Location myLoc) { if(myLoc != null) { QualifiedCoordinates qc = myLoc.getQualifiedCoordinates(); //Call webservice here. } }
In the myLocListener.java
package net.gasbot; import javax.microedition.location.*; public class myLocListener implements LocationListener{ GasBotScreen gb; public myLocListener(GasBotScreen gb) { this.gb = gb; } public void locationUpdated(LocationProvider provider, Location location) { QualifiedCoordinates qc = location.getQualifiedCoordinates(); //I set a breakpoint here, but it rarely gets called, and when it does, the coordinates are both 0. provider.setLocationListener(null, 0, 0, 0); gb.GotLocation(location); } public void providerStateChanged(LocationProvider provider, int newState) { }}
Can you get it someone please let me know what I am doing wrong? I'll put the listener null once it gets a set location to update as I need it only once. I also tried to use the.getLocation(-1) and it does not work either. Is there something wrong with my Simulator? Or just something wrong with my code?
I don't understand your code, in fact. Why are reset you the listener inside the listener?
In addition, you "eat" the exception where you get the provider. He is a likely area of failure, so I would put a trace and trace any exception.
Another thing to try: try to set criteria to null when you get the provider: gives you the provider "by default".

Search for wild-card using %
I have a question about wild-card searches. I currently have a behind the scenes as to search for a string within a string...
However, if the user wants to put in a wild card like '% report % AP... I would like to go back to all those who start with AP and relate to them - is - it possible using APEX? I currently do not receive all the records as the % is considered literally. As our users are used for Oracle, we will have users who will be key in a % when searching and we need it works!
Can someone help me with this please?
Thank you!
RobetAhh, one of us was on a red herring, sorry.
Not accustomed to see double quotes, don't think that they are identifiers case-insensitive to column do not.
Your original code
instr(upper("REPORT_DESC"),upper(nvl(:P11_REPORT_SEARCH,"REPORT_DESC"))) > 0
Is the same as
upper(report_desc) like '%'||UPPER(:P11_REPORT_SEARCH)||'%'
Then you may as well write it like this, and then the winning cards will be interpreted as such.

The search for SD-Card-Reader of M30x for Linux (Debian)
Hi all
googeling I have not found a way to get my sd card works in linux. As far as I understand that there are no drivers.
Well, Microsoft isn't not an option in my case I really need a work around short of switching to laptops and external card readers.
Can someone piont me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance!
NikoHello Niko
I put t know what laptop satellite model you have, but as far as I know, most units have driver for multicard reader. Linux is unfortunately Toshiba not picked up and because of this, it will be very difficult to find something.
Please check the Linux section on this forum and you will find some interesting links to Linux. Maybe you will find something interesting.

Satellite A50-110: the search for compatible memory modules
Im looking for memory, I can use on my Satellite A50-100.

The A50-100 doesn't support internal memory.
This laptop supports locations memory simple towing and both are expandable. So now for the decision-making modules support:
You can use the PC2700 DDR - RAM and these are compatible:
PC2700 256 MB (PA3311U - 1 M 25)
PC2700 512 MB (PA3312U - 1 M 51)

search for text in modules library
as someone new to lightroom, I'd appreciate a little insite in the keyword search. I keyworded lots of pictures as follows
James wedding
James wedding brunch
Joan James of marriage
find just with joan pictures, with joan as a keyword?
I show only the following columns, Date, camera, objective, label...
Click on any one of them (column header) for a list of other attributes, keywords among them.

Card module Lightroom 4 is empty
I upgraded LR3 to LR4 yesterday and has been happy to dive into the card module. Unfortunately, the plan seems to be empty. I chose an image with GPS information. The card module properly research the location of the photo (Magdalena, New Mexico). This seems to be a bug in rendering.
Update 1
Just to check, I installed another OS X 10.6.8 machine which had not previously had Lightroom LR4 and imported from the same image. The card module worked properly. So, I tried to reinstall LR4 on the original machine. Unfortunately, it does not always work. I tried to create a new catalog and backup and then removing all preferences. The map is always empty...
I'm open to suggestions as long as they involve the re-installation of the OS, as I just did a fresh install last night on this machine and therefore doubt strong who will accomplish anything other than wasting my time.
I'm open to all kinds of alternatives, including but not limited to:
- Execution of dtrace to Watch calls to the library
- fixing of XCode to debug (although I suppose that all objects have been robbed), or
- Starting a server of WebDialogs/WebEx/VNC/TeamViewer/etc for a dev to search around top or debug using XCode. Of course a debuggable build help greatly with this.
Update 2
More of default.
I created a new user on the system which is a failure, started LR4, created a new catalog, any photo test, changed card - blank module. Something about that particular system causes the failure of rendering.
Then I realized that the devil, just to make sure, why don't I have copy the soft LR4 system that works. Still a blank map...
My next thought was that maybe it was a problem with the graphics not accelerated. So I have disabled graphics switching. Still a blank map...
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I found an answer, now it works

Is this possible in LR4 to change the GPS coordinates of the individual images?
Also, if you drag and drop a "marker" in the map, which changes the coordinates of a photo as well. Does not work if the marker represents more than one photo, these markers cannot be moved.

Can't see the POI in the card LR Module
I use a gps data logger to record a tracklog for use in the card LR module.
If I remember to sync my camera with a website displaying the correct time, then the card Module works very well. Usually it is 2-3 minutes off which can be huge in certain circumstances. So a workaround is to take a picture while pressing the button POI (point of interest) on the data logger. Which will show you exactly how far the camera time is and you use LR to adjust the time on pictures.
The problem is that LR does not show POI markers, as far as I can tell. So I have two questions:
- Is there a way to tell LR to show POI markers?
- If not, is it possible to ask Adobe consider adding this ability? Since the tracklog is simply an xml file, it would be a simple thing to do.
Dale
> Is it possible to tell LR to show POI markers?
No, it will only show markers GPS for pictures or the gpx tracklogs.
