  Thanks for posting the details of your system. I'm skeptical about the "CompTool0234 Community Toolbar". Could you disable some add-ons and see if that helps.

  On this tab:

  Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Plugins category

  Disable «Conduit Plugin»

  On this tab:

  Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category

  Disable the CompTool0234 community toolbar.

  Then very probably a link will appear to restart Firefox to make the change. Does make a difference?

  When you are working in several different programs (Auctiva is one) I get a message that Firefox blocked my attempt of Web pages to direct me to a new page.   1. In the address bar, type Subject: config and press enter. The subject: config "this might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
  2. Click on I'll be careful, I promise! to keep the comments: config page.
  3. copy (from here), accessibility.blockautorefresh and paste it into the search field

  I use Dreamweaver cs4 on a windows pc. I have 12 pages of my site with a spry vertical navigation bar. Whenever I create a new page I then add that to the spry navigation bar. All other pages do not show this new page in the navigation bar. Thus, the spry NAV. must be site wide update. Is it possible to update the spry navigation bar site wide in a few clicks?   Yes, there are ways to have all the pages to be updated when you make changes to a navigation bar.  However, the way you describe the situation you currently do it all manually.

  The easiest way to update a navigation bar:

  1. the use of serverside includes: this is a basic tutorial explaining what is a SSI and how it's done.

  That's where you went wrong, you save the template with a new name, and save it as an html file.  You must use: Create New > model.  This way, you create a new page of the master model and save it in the root of your site - and this is what is called a "page of the child".

  The differences between the use of SSIs and DWTs (template file):

  With a SSI file, you make changes to the file and all the pages, the inclusion of which will update automatically and you need only download a SSI whenever you make a page.

  If you use a model, whenever you make a change, once again all children pages are updated, but you need to download * all * changed pages.

  I'm kinda new here and I would like to ask a question. I now use an iPhone as a primary device, instead of Android. But is there a way to make the safari to remove all tabs when you close, and when you open it, it just opened a new page or a blank page? My phone is just laying around sometimes and I let my friends to use. But when I close safari after I order something or when I'm checking my bank account, they can all see when they open up safari...

  All I can think is to close all tabs before close Safari, or use it in private Mode:

  There is no built-in feature that allows you to do it directly in Acrobat. You can use the harvest tool Pages to remove (or rather, hide) half of the page, but this is a manual process.

• Fonts on the new BBC News page are distorted

  Recently, the BBC revamped its news pages. Seen on a desktop PC with a screen resolution forced down to the equivalent of 1 366 x 768 fonts small look sharp.

  However, if I find the same page on a laptop with a resolution of 1366 x 768 fonts are deformed and broken. I combined two screenshots to show the problem.

  On the left of the picture below is a close-up of the display of the laptop and on the right is the same page seen on your desktop with the screen resolution changed to give a vertical resolution of 768.

  I tried to download an image, but the hourglass just kept turning. I checked the font for both PC settings are that they are identical. These are the Visual settings for Windows 7 on both computers.

  I tried to search to see if others have reported the problems I see, but cannot find anything. I'm puzzled as to why the BBCsite would look so bad. I hope you can help.

  From what I see, Freesans is not a downloaded but police that Firefox would need to find it on your system. If you see the Windows fonts folder (or Panel), see you there? I don't know how it could have got installed, but maybe it can be removed...

  In another thread, a method was proposed to substitute a locally installed font for that specified by a Web site. Is to apply a custom style rule (using the stylish extension or a file userContent.css) along these lines:

  I have not tested myself.

• Why focus/cursor selects the address bar when you click in a new page?

  This happens all the time, but most of the time... When I browse a site by clicking on the links, whenever a new page load the address bar is chosen to start typing. When I go to scroll down (using the down arrow/page keys) he'll scroll rather recent page URL in the address bar, instead of scrolling to the bottom of the page.

  I'm trying to add some model VM to VAPP using recomposeVApp (...). And it works well except that I can not change the name of the virtual machine while recomposing. It takes the name of the model. But how to add VMS to model with the specific name? I use the v1.0 API.

  For after this code fragment:

  vmTemplateRef.setName ("MyNewVM"); This name is ignored. The name of the model is taken!

  The model name is ignored because vmTemplateRef is the only reference to the object that will be used for the operation of recomposition. If changing the name it will be always ignored.

  I think that changing the name of the virtual machine template for recompose cannot be done as follows:

  (1) operation recomposeVApp().

  (2) get the recomposed VAPP

  (3) download the children-> VM you want to change.

  (4) change the name of the virtual computer.

• How can I do if my client can modify the links in catalyst for business when they create new pages?

  OK so, essentially, I built a site in Muse downloaded to the catalyst for business and I install a site template so that the client can create new pages as each new course arrives, but how can I get the link from the home page to post a link to the new page? Basically, I need the link is editable.

  What would be ideal, it's a sort of portfolio, where there is a sticker and a new page but for my client to be able to add a new project and it would create a thumbnail on the home page and a new page he can edit. Someone knows something like that possible in Business catalyst?

  I use DW CS4 and have CS5 but have not yet used.  It is tedious when I create a new article to the page history, then he must go to the homepage and create the link and the order of the day for this new page.  Is it possible to create somehow DW so that when I post the new article or page history, the title and a few sentences and a link will be automatically added to the home page for this new page in the history?

  It would be easy to do if your news page have been data-driven, which means that you have a database containing news items, and the news page simply creates a recordset to display news.  Then, you could do the homepage always draw on the latest issue of news from the database, display the first 150 words as a teaser and a link to the news page to learn more.  This would require access server database and scripts to accomplish.

  There is no way to accomplish such a thing in HTML pages, other than by your manual approach.

• Once again the model regions

  I created a template to work on our new site I'm developing and using CSS for a stronger than our current site.
  
  I have two editable regions, one of 'content', I'm having a problem with. Two optional regions called 'css' and 'w3c' that work great.
  
  When I apply the model to a page and line up the "incompatible" regions to get the text of the page based on my "content" region It works; but the content is flush with the border of the left hand rather than use my 'content' CSS rule to apply a sufficient margin so that the text is 'in' page.
  
  Incorrect page can be seen here.
  
  The only way I can get the content to sit within the content (with margins applied) by creating a page "empty" based on the model and copy the text into the "Div".
  
  Any help would be appreciated, thanks
