  I don't think it's a general or common problem. I have the Satellite P500 with the NVIDIA card inside. Pre-installed driver is Toshiba 8.16.11.8829 driver version, and I have never notice one problem with display or graphics in general.

  I watch blu - ray movies, very often HD trailers on YouTube, play games (for the time Medal of honor, Black Ops) and everything works perfectly.

  What NVIDIA card is in your laptop and what display driver is installed?

  Is someone can you please tell me if you can update the graphics/video card on this machine as we are having trouble loading and playing games (Sims 2 deluxe) and Tiger Woods 08 and a friend mentioned that the graphics card on this laptop does not support them. AFAIK there are here with 1 GB of memory, 128 MB graphics card and two games require at least 32 mb videocard support and yet they either load up, then stop responding or if I do get not one to play it crashes after a few minutes. Is there something that can be done to run one of these games?

  So, after messing around I seemed to have discovered to some extent what the problem is, Skype works like 32 x, and the games that appear to be the cause of the problem were x 64, after trying to run one of the games in x 32, Skype ran very well.

  If one of them is to run the x 32 version of the game you want to play, even if, another difficulty that I found to be more convenient was to go to your properties skype.exe and set the .exe to run in compatibility mode for windows XP (Service Pack 3).   What kind of video card do you recommend to replace the ATI Radeon HD 5450 that I could use to do things like

  I heard that the HD 5450 is only something like $40, so I think that this machine can do much better with better graphics
