graphics card nVidia WDDM 1.1, 1.2 Graphics Adapter WDDM, another software update released material in October 2012

Why do I need this? Why it is "Important"? What is the same update that I had listed as "optional" for the last few months? Why is it not released by nVidia? Quite honestly, after a terrible experience update driver for this card on the site of nVidia a year ago I'm not inclined to make changes. Am I miss something, - apart from severe stress and the likely loss of display? EDIT: I've been Googling! http://www.TomsHardware.com/Forum/1250-73-Windows-Update-failing-install-WDDM-WDDM I must admit, the information is confusing the * outa me! It seems to say that these are relevant changes for W7 and W8! So why are we humble, kick drunk fist, short changed, disenfranchised Vista Ultimate mugs offered it? : D

====================================================
I'm guessing that this update is available from the Microsoft Update site?

Personally... I do not install the updated since Microsoft Update driver... I prefer
to go to the support site for the manufacturer of my computer or the support site of
the manufacturer of the equipment.

For what is a video driver update... unless you have installed a program that will
not work properly without updating your video driver, I would say that it
does not update

As you met... it is possible that an updated video driver may
not be compatible with your system and the version of driver, you already had.

As a precaution, it is always better if you create a system restore point
before installing any software or updates.

  • Satellite P100: Why the graphics card Nvidia 7900 is not available in the United Kingdom?

Why nvidia 7900 GPUs is not available in the p100 to the United Kingdom? Europe & Middle East the 7900gs is available in the continent. The 7900 gtx in the States is available.

    Why?

    Hello

I put t believe that it of not possible to buy a P100 with the graphics card Nvidia 7900 to the United Kingdom. If you can't buy it forms mobile phone dealer in your city, so I'd check the shops online cell phone.
I studied a little bi and found these P100 units with the graphic card nVidia 7900.

    Satellite P100-426; P100-194; P100-191; P100-196; P100-215; P100-222

I found three different cards which were delivered with the P100:
NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900; GeForce Go 7600 and Intel 945GM Express

Anyway, the P100 is a new laptop and eventually you can't buy it in every store, but in my opinion several times this unit should be available in the United Kingdom with the GeForce Go 7900

  • How to install the graphics card Nvidia Quadro 4000 in Dell R710

    Hi all

I read a lot about the installation of the Nvidia Quadro PCIe x 16 card in a Dell R710.  I know what parts I need to order (Dell GP347 PCI-e left Riser), but I don't know how to install the power cable 6 pin required by the Nvidia card.  Where would connect it to the motherboard Dell R710?  Is there a place to connect?  If not, is there some type of power provides I can hang the 6-pin power Cable from Nvidia and power the server?  Any help would be appreciated.

It's a bit old now, but thought I would answer that I had this work and very happy with the performance!

In addition to editing card, that I needed, there is NO way to provide the power that the card must provide without a power SUPPLY.  There is a really small box listed on Newegg called "ePOWER EP - 450CD 450W ATX12V/EPS12V modular juice dedicated to the area of graphics card and CPU of power".  Buy and run the GPU power cable to an empty PCI slot at the back of the Dell server.

I also bought some video cards NVidia Quadro 4000 2 GB GDDR5 PCIe for each of my 5.5 ESXi servers. Also, I left my active integrated video graphics card and it is always primary for my hypervisor.

Download and install the NVidia ESXi drivers on their site and follow the directions to install.  Reset.

I use sVGA with my Horizon offices and downloaded a trial version of Sketch-Up to test the 3D.  They have a community of users who post 3D renderings and you can download it directly from the Sketch-up program.  Cruise around and check the performance.

As a side note, I noticed IE worked worse way by using the GPU when browsing the internet.  Go to settings, advanced in Internet Explorer and has the option at the top of the page "use rendering software instead of GPU".  This change makes IE works as expected.

  • Pavilion p7 - 1226 s: card Nvidia GT 710 does not work with the P7-1226 Pavilion

I installed a graphics card from EVGA Nvidia GT 710 in my Pavilion p7 - 1226, and when I turned on the PC, he remained at the HP splash screen and all does not load more. It would also give a single beep every so often. I can not enter the Boot Options by pressing ESC. I removed the card and the PC worked fine again. I checked the card before removing it and it has been installed.

I had already installed a 430W power supply, so power in watts is not the issue.

I have studied the issue online, and it seems that the problem may be with the motherboard of the PC HP (IPISB-CU), not the card. Can someone tell me how to get this card to work with this PC, please?

    Thank you!

    SJTemp, welcome to the forum.

The GT 730 graphics card requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS / Legacy.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  There is no way to upgrade the BIOS in the UEFI.  I suggest you to contact EVGA Tech Support (1-888-881-3842) to see that if they can help you make the card work.  Otherwise, who needs no UEFI cards of the GT 640.

  • Can't play CRYSIS and GEARS OF WAR on portable computer with card Nvidia 7900 GS?

I wonder if anyone here have the chance to play two games CRYSIS and GEARS OF WAR on PC Toshiba laptop with Nvidia 7900 GS cards.

The reason why I asked this question-> because I have 2 problems:

    (1) GEARS OF WAR first need new driver for Nvidia telling me this massage * to run Gears of War with your current hardware configuration, you must install the following software update or updates: *.

    * + NVIDIA ForceWare 163.44 driver *.

    * If you do not install this software, at some point, the game ends and your progress will be the lost.* and give me another massege when I click on play

the massage is * this application has failed to start because xlive.dll not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem *.

    (2) on CRYSIS game working, but with very poor quality and a few fast breaks during playback I tried to graph affecting minimum put the same thing happen...

I hope that someone here can give some advice on the above issues, and a suggestion for a new driver will be appreciated ;)

    Hello

    _ _Regarding point 1)

Check out the www.laptopvideo2go.com site and to update the graphics driver!
This site contains some useful nVidia drivers that can run on laptops.
But note; pilots can be used only at your own risk!

    _ _Regarding point 2)

Crysis needs huge resources for laptop. I think that the card Nvidia 7900 GS is not strong enough to run the game with full graphic details!
I read on some game sites that you need a desktop PC of very high technology with that of the new series of nVidia 8600 to the smooth running of the game!

  • Card NVIDIA 9800 GTgraphic / Windows Vista issue

I reformatted my computer using windows vista and the same computer parts who have worked for more than a year. After installation, I received a message that my Windows Vista was an illegal copy. I contacted microsoft and after checking that it was not an illegal copy they gave me a code to enter to activate vista. I have a wide screen monitor and now I have a 1 inch black border that surrounds the display. After several attempts to solve this problem, I discovered that my graphics (Nvidia 9800 GT) driver will not be installed. I get a triangle with an exclamation point on the pilot. I have uninstalled several times and tried several drivers, most recently and several former drivers and get the same result. This graphics card has work without problem for more than a year now, but since the incident of "illegal copy" now I'm having this problem. Can someone please?

It is NOT a problem with activation - which is completely separated.

Try to remove the card and then put in place to ensure that it is conneccted correctly.

When you double-click on the driver icon with the yellow triangle what should I know about the problem? Is there a conflict?  The driver is not installed at all?  Did he say EXACTLY?  I don't think it's a Vista issue but rather a NVidea problem (card, driver, firmware, software, whatever)- but will help to know what Device Manager.

You seem to have tried all the logical problem solving techniques.  Absolutely certain that you got all the drivers, firmware and/or software do you need for the card and compatible with the card and your version of Vista - bad ones can not only work, but can cause damage?  I think the next step is to contact Nvidia Supporthttp://www.nvidia.com/page/support.html where they have a base of knowledge, access to a forum like this but dedicated NVidea and options hardware support depending on how you acquired the card.  I couldn't find a phone number, but I suspect that the material support section will lead you to one.  They should be able to help better than us because that's their product.  That's what I would do next in your situation.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Dell Precision M90 recently upgraded to x 64 Win7 can not get correct graphics, stuck with the Standard VGA Graphics Adapter Card

I have a Dell Precision M90 laptop and recently upgraded to Vista 32 bit to 64 bit Windows 7.  Everything worked perfectly, except for my display drivers.  Windows 7 installed a driver called Standard VGA Graphics Adapter.  This driver has a very low resolutions only and cannot deal with games or same Aero.

I had an experience with updated video drivers with Vista.  My graphics card is a NVIDIA Quadro FX 2500 M.  When I had Vista there is no Vista compatible driver for this card, so I used the Geforce 7900GTX driver (which is inspired by the FX 2500 M) and it worked fine.  Of course, the Quadro FX 2500 M doesn't have a driver compatible windows 7.

I downloaded the driver for the 64 - bit Windows 7 Geforce 7 series so I could upgrade and use, however when I used the NVIDIA installer it says that my computer has no compatible hardware for this driver (I tried to install it in Vista compatibility as well).  I tried to force the upgrade by using the option "have disk" and choosing the .inf directly file.  This did not always and said that he could not work because "the selected driver for this device does not support this version of Windows" even if it is the version of Windows 7.

I also tried to start my computer in safe mode, uninstall the VGA Standard driver and then install the driver NVIDIA, but it does not work either.

Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to add as much information as possible I hope to solve this problem.  Thank you for taking a look and thanks for your suggestions!

Fixed!  Finally!  Dell.com took the pilot... but the link that they had posted on the page of Precision M90 was mislabeled.  I tried another way, found the good pilot, and got, it works.  Solved the days and days of frusturation.

    Hello = D

I would ask for advice, if I should download this new update of the SM (Microsoft Window Update). And I have no problem with my driver. I'm just asking if it's necessary for me to download this update :D
      Thank you =)
    JetLee_A

    Hello

As a general rule, if your product works very well, and the update of the driver does not provide a previously unavailable feature, don't fix what isn't broken.

What you don't say, is whether your current driver is Microsoft Windows 'Approved' / 'certified '. What is my personal opinion, I am a firm believer in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it.". I saw that too many products otherwise good (video cards, sound cards, etc.) get sacked because someone downloaded and installed a new driver more than one that worked very well.

As long as your machine works well, leave well enough alone would be my advice.

Let me know what you decide.

    Kind regards

  • NVIDIA Quadro: I plug 6-pin power adapter or connector 8 pin?

I am trying to install my graphics card Nvidia Quadro 6000 on a HP Z820 with a PSU 1125W

The Quadro card: 1x8pin auxiliary power connector and power connector auxiliary 1x6pin.

    My questions are

    1. in the connection of my power adapter, do I plug the unit into the 8 pin or 6 PIN auxiliary connector?

    2. where can I connect the other end of the power adapter?

    3. the power adapter must be a HP one or can I use any brand.

4, if it's HP, what is the part number

I would appreciate help on this.

Edit: Here is this link related to this issue.  It goes also to other topics with excellent similar information:

    http://www.TomsHardware.com/reviews/power-supply-specifications-ATX-reference, 3061 - 12.html

First, it is important to know that there is another interface "6 to 8 pins" which is a feature of power-for - motherboard power ... you don't want that, sure, and connectors plastic is having different shapes.  You can see that he has 4 yellow wires (usually the supply wires) and would not have the sequence of correct wiring of a PCIe 6 to 8 pins supplementary power converter:

I don't know the show, too, is not what you want.  This looks like an 8 pin to two adapter 6 pins.  You want a 6-pin to 8 pin adapter.  Is attached another picture of the nVidia type tells you to do.  If you look at the hyperlink at the top of this post you will find the wiring of 6 pins on 8 wire and for your project, you will probably want to follow the advice of nVidia for best results.  There is power to the ground and 'sense' son to all be correctly connected to the adapter.

There is also some PCIe additional adapters that allow you to convert several sheets supply 4 son "molex" grouping in a single 6-pin PCIe or connector 8.  It is best to not do this if you have a power with official ones built in.  Your the fact, and to check the manual, it looks like your top rated power supply has 3 of these auxiliary PCIe power cords (G1, G2 and G3 will be printed on the side of the end of your 3 card).  On the other hand, offer reduced rated power of the Z820 has only 2 additional PCIe (auxiliary) cords supplied by it.

I don't know if you are forced to use a good 6-8 converter or could if away with plug 6 pin right in the correct position on the plug 8 pins of your videocard directly, according to article of the hyperlink.  I, personally, would get an adapter.

EDIT: Here is a picture of two ends of what is supposed to be a PCIe 6-pin supplementary power adapter PCIe 8 pins.  The first and third power pins 6 pins are officially DC 12v (some references have each of the first 3 pins being 12vDC) and subsequently, the rest are supposed to be a 'sense' or earthed.  When I look at the plug 8-pole end wiring I do not see a ground wire or ground jumper coming to pin 8.  I would not recommend it, unless I'm wrong about his son:

  • Display the adapter set to Standard VGA Graphics Adapter on Aspire AX3950

    Hello

I have an Aspire AX3950 supplied with Windows 7 Home. I had to recreate the image on the computer to Windows 7 Professional so I could install Visual Studio 2013. I got my MSDN subscription software.

After successfully reimage the computer, the system only recognizes one of my monitors. It worked correctly with the same two monitors before updating windows. I checked the graphics card and it shows "Standard VGA Graphics Adaper". It was my mistake of not checking the adapter before the system update. From what I found on the internet this AX3950 has a graphic card coupled with the motherboard. My question is, how do I get the original graphics card working again?

    drivers can be found here:

    http://us.Acer.com/AC/en/us/content/drivers/2187;-; Longs % 20 X 3950

What is your VGA, click twice on the standard VGA adapter on Device Manager, select the tab "details" in the menu drop down choose 'hardwareIDs', select the first channel, copy and paste in google and see if it is Intel, nvidia or ATI.

Then select the proper drivers from the link above.
