Group administrator

Hello, I tried to download the Microsoft Safety Scanner and have downloaded fine, but when I went to the page downloads, and click on download, it comes up saying I need to be a member of the administrator group? I don't know anything about it, but I appreciate it if someone can tell me how I can get around that or what I need to do to become a member of the administrator group. Thanks in advance!

No problem. I'm trying to remember exactly, but I found these instructions:

http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/usercpl_change_group.mspx?mfr=true

It is said that if you are the admin level only account on a computer, you will not see the option "change account type", because he always needs to be at least one administrator (otherwise, nobody would be able to do admin things like creating a new user or install the updates).

I think maybe the best recommendation I have for you in this case is to create a new account instead and set it as the admin. If nothing else, at least until a user backup in case your main account never became corrupted or infected.

    Hello

My colleague has created a 'WE_PM_group' group and added me to this group with the "group administrator" role.
But when I connect to the tool "Create or add new members of the group", then after SSO and grateful the "read and understood the guidelines Beehive online", it does not show the "WE_PM_group" (it does show some groups) and I can only create a group.
My question: How can I add members to the group that my colleague created and I am the group administrator?

Note: When I connect to the Administration of BeehiveOnline tool, I indeed see my e-mail address in the 'WE_PM_group' group and with the correct role (Administrator of the Group)

You can add users to a group, your colleague whop created the group to add your email address in the field E-mail of managers. Any user with their email address in this field will be able to manage the group.

  • Impossible to remove from the user's browser grouping administrative tasks

    Hello

I work with HFM 9.3.1 and cannot remove access for the administrative tasks of the Consolidation of the view of the user's browser. I fill the group administrator field in the application of the utility of Configuration of FM Server tab, but it did not work. He is still able to create or even remove applications.

    The assigned provisions include:
    By default
    Read journals
    User of intercompany transactions
    Advanced user
Receive alerts by email for process management
Receive alerts Email for IC Transactions
    Extended Analytics

I tried to remove the role of the advanced user to force the display of project only, however, it is still able to access the Admin menus via the command bar or the navigation menu.

Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated

    Kind regards

These include create application, will exist for users in the Application of the HFM configuration utility Developer group. Provide a group, replace the default 'All' on each HFM application server in the environment. After doing this change and restarted HFM on all servers (restart all servers) then only members of this group can create new applications. If the menu may still appear, you will find that an "Access denied" error if anyone outside this group tries to create an application. Even the enable/disable connections is controlled by the administrator group of applications next to the app creator group in the utility.

This group and the related menu items have nothing to do with application roles.

  • How can I check if a user belongs to a certain group of field and see what are the permissions that the user has on a specific group "administrator, user and guest"?

I can't check in a group of area if a user is "administrator, user and guest.

I'm using labview 2012 in the windows domain.

I think that there are tools. NET to resolve this, but could not yet.

Attached a file that checks if a user belongs to a group in the area, but without the information of privileges.

In the past, I used the command line.  Use ' Net User % username / Domain % domain % ' to get information about the user.  Actually, I don't have the right to see the other commands, so I don't know how it works now.  .NET looks more elegant, but I never used it for that.

  • Group administrator cannot open Control Panel, Manager of tasks or access networked readers

    Hello

I have a little trouble getting one of our computers in the domain to cooperate.  We've added a bunch of user profiles of domain on this computer, all under the administrator group, but nobody except the local administrator can access network drives, open Control Panel and open the Task Manager.  Even our domain administrator cannot do the previously listed.  We have 3 other computers that use all the same members, and they are all very well, so I don't think that the question lies in group policy.  It's almost as if the local administrator group settings have been changed somehow?  I went into the local group policy and all settings seem correct.  I'm puzzled little at this stage.  This could be the cause of this problem?  What is a corrupt local administrator account?  For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated!
    Thank you!

    Hi Jay,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

The question you have posted is linked to the domain. It's going to be better suited than it pro. I suggest you post in the TechNet Forums.

  • The M1000e group administration

    Hello

I had to remove an Admin group configuration on a lead frame (this worked OK). I removed the lead chassis 001 002-009 servers. Then, I needed to select a former member of this group (002) as the new lead chassis.

But it does allow me to type in all areas. See photo. We are at version 5.01 of the firmware of the chassis.

    Any ideas around this?

    THX,

    John Bradshaw

    Bradje1,

For starters, the fields to the right of your screen will be unavailable until after Leader is selected and recorded the name of the group, then select apply. If it is not welcoming that then based on the screenshot, you have not completely dissolved the previous chassis group. I can determine this by the fact that the username and password are populated, that would happen only a previous membership. When he is not a current configuration, it will be grey and blank. Once the Leader is selected and the name of the group is entered, you would select apply and then these fields are available. Now to disperse a group of chassis the chassis of lead you follow these steps:

    1. Log on with administrative privileges on the chassis of the head.
    2. In the tree, select the chassis of lead.
    3. Click Configuration > administrative group.
    4. In the page group group of chassis, under the role, select None and then click on apply.

Lead frame then communicates to all members that they have been removed from the group. Finally, the lead chassis continues its role. It can now be assigned as a member or officer of another group. Now, if this chassis of members received the message through a network issue or be deleted. Then, you have to disable the chassis Members member to complete uninstallation. After that then you should be able to proceed...

Let me know if this helps solve the problem.

  • View groups of users and privileges

    Hello world!

I'm currently building a custom for TestStand operator interface with LabView. I've already done a VI whose façade contains a listbox where all available TestStand users (see file attachment) are displayed. Once selected a user by clicking on its name, it is displayed in the control of the chain.

Now, in addition to displaying the selected user name, I would like to display: in a list box, the list of groups (Administrator, operator,...) to which the selected user belongs; in another list box, the list of privileges belonged to the selected user.

    How can I do this?

    Thank you

    Thanks LiciaP!

Following your suggestions too, I managed to do what I wanted.

See attached VI for the solution. Because I am a novice, I asked if someone can check the block diagram to propose improvements of organization code.

  • How to determine a user group

    Hello

I have a tab control that has 6-7 tabs. I want to show some tabs to normal users and I want to hide some tabs from these users, only Admins can see them.  Is there a way to set the user access tab pages individually? In the tab control settings, there is only the security settings that apply to the tab control, not pages individually. I can show/hide the pages by program, but I need to know the name of groups (Administrator, operators, comments, everyone) to which the user is connected.

According to the page it is also not possible

Summary: How can I show/hide tabs depending on the user group?

    I use Labview 2014 SP1 32-bit on Win8.1 with the DSC module

    Ah ok

In any case, I managed to get this info with the palette of DSC security screws:

  • How can I connect on Windows XP Professional as an administrator?

Something changed my admin password. I am the only owner and user on this laptop...

I get the error of admin rights whenever I make a change to my system programs.

It has probably nothing to do with your password.

The quick check to see if you have administrator privileges is to right-click on 'start '.  If one of the options that appear in the pop-up window is "open all users", then probably have administrator privileges.

To check, the long run is to open a command prompt window (start-> Run-> "cmd") and enter the command:
    net localgroup administrators
This will provide a list of all users with administrator privileges.

Even an administrator can be deprived of rights to a file or a directory that can cause the error you receive.  The group administrator has the right to change the rights, however.  It is likely that some malware has gotten into your system and modified access rights of authorization in a directory of keys for the Administrators group.  Try to run a program like Malwarebytes freeware to search for possible infections.

  • Administrator password lost Windows 7 some kind around him?

Need a way to bypass the password on the administrator account in windows 7 new machine and in the pass of configuration has been
entered accidentally and don't know it.   Transfer of old data machine so I don't want to do a re install of full operating system or I lose data HELP! everyone?

What account are you talking about? The 'real' administrator or your normal "group administrator" account? If you're the normal account you have another account with administrator privileges?

Rather than wait for answers, I will cover the three options above. If it's something else I'm going to need more entries.

    (1) if he is the real Director, it is a fairly easy fix (I had to do the other day because my OEM set a password for the account).

    ·     Open Control Panel > user accounts and select the option that allows you to change other accounts;

    ·     Select the administrator account.

    ·     Disable the password required. Changing this option does not require a password.

    (2) if it is your own account, but you have another account on the system with administrator privileges, the above procedures will work here as well.

    (3) If you're clean and no other account has administrator privileges it will be much more complicated.

First of all, try changing the account that you are in administrator. It is unlikely that it will work and would be a major security hole, but it is worth it.

If this does not work, try to start a command prompt and activating the true administrator. Procedures at this link will guide you through the boot to the command prompt. Once at the command prompt, type the following two lines:

NET user administrator / Active: Yes
                    Net user administrator p@ssw0rD

Notes: 1) these two lines can be in any order. (2) ""p@ssw0rD " is one example, type any password you want;" and (3) the password line may not be necessary in your case. I added it because as my OEM set a password on my new computer. If they did as well on yours, you must start the return to a command prompt to change the password later, so may as well do it now. You can always disable it later.

Once you ask the real active administrator, start at the top and connect to the administrator account. Once there, use the procedure in "1)" above. This third option may not work, I've never had to try it this way, but it makes logical sense.

    Good luck.

  • How can I get the administrator rights on my user account?

    OT: Without administrator rights.

I don't have my active administrator account.

I had a user account that I removed myself from the group administrator.

Now I'm locked to do anything.

I can't assign me to the admin group, I can't allow the user to administrator, I can't edit some files or delete some software...

I tried cmd but get access denied when you try to activate the administrator account. It does not help if I open CMD or anything else with administrator privileges.

I can't open the recovery mode, tried to start in safe mode and all the rest.

How can I get the administrator rights on my user account?

I had a user account, which I removed myself from the group administrator.

-> This is called "paint yourself in a corner.

I tried cmd but get access denied when you try to activate the administrator account. It does not help if I open CMD or anything else with administrator privileges.

-> Is normal. Either you are an administrator, or you're not.

How can I get the administrator rights on my user account?

-> Ask a friend to burn a CD repair system for you (Control Panel / backup and restore). Now to use this CD to start the machine in Repair Mode, and then use the system restore to set Windows to a point before you downgrade your one and only the admin account.

When you're done, plan ahead a little and create, test and document a spare, even admin account that you have a spare House key. This will save you a lot of trouble.

  • How can I view the administrator account, which is not even in SafeMode (Windows 7)?

I was instructed to set up a Windows 7 PC. It has been used before, but I don't know by whom or how it was used. In order to do a bit of setting up I want, I need access to the administrator account. I have an account that is in the group administrator, Admin, but the account itself seems to be hidden or missing. It does not appear when I boot in safe mode. How can I access the administrator?

I found my own answer. The administrator account is disabled. Enable it, run the policy group, then Configuration Editor Local computer--> Windows settings security settings local policies--> security-> accounts options-->-->:--> Enable Administrator account status.

After that, I was able to connect to the administrator.
  • BBM BBM change group Icon in BBM10.8.5.15

Is there a way to change the Group BBM icon after it's been created?

I'll assume that you are referring to the avatar of group that displays at the top left of the screen to group chat.

Yes.  There are several ways to do it, it's more easy for me.

Open the group or the group chat.  Tap the avatar - this brings you to the info of the group.  Tap the avatar again.  This brings you to a screen where you can select the default icons or click 'Add an image' on the bottom bar. This will bring you to the photos app where you can choose from one of your images as when you add a photo to a contact.

Note that if you are a group administrator, you will change the avatar for everyone in the group.  If you are not an administrator, you can always change the avatar, but the change will be visible only to you.

I found it very convenient when I am in two different groups with avatars that are too similar, and made a comment in the wrong group.  I changed the two (at my end) to be radically different.  No more problems.

    I hope this helps.

  • Data level security group does not

I'm testing the security level of data at the level of the group.

    Here's what I did

    1. went to security-> groups-> Permissions-> filters
2 the name added to the fact table on which I want to filter.
    3 choose 'enable '.
    4. in the filter column, I added a filter on a column in the dimension. (I don't use any session variable in the filter)

When I create a query responses with the column of the dimension (that I used in the filter) and of the fact table where I set the filter, the filter is not applied.
Did I miss something in the creation of filters?

    Thanks in advance.

    Rama.

    Hello

If the user is a member of two defined by the user and group administrator without filter apply to them because the group administrator will take precedence and no filter can be applied to Administrator.Even if you ooen administrator group, you will see this tab permission is disabled for the administrator group.

    I hope this helps.
