H.350 directory

Hello

I am trying to install a H.350 AD LDS directory. I can connect to the LDAP database, but the book shows no contact.

I created a new AD LDS instance that runs on port 30389 and created OUs and and ldap user, which has read access. I added the commObject, H.323 and SIPIdentity to the schema. H.235 schema could not be added. I assigned the H323Identity and the IdentityURI SIP as a stand-in class for anyone and commObject.

I created a normal person and a commObject, with H323IdentityH323Id and SIPIdentityURI set, but none of them appear as contacts in directory of TMS.

I want to use the H.350 directory as a central repository for Cisco Systems and legacy systems of life-size.

What are the attributes or identifiers should be added to the user to show as a valid contact?

BR, Paul

I have only this set up with the help of openLDAP. Must be ad lds? If so I need to set up and test which can take some time.

/ Magnus

  • VCS for integration of advertisements

    Hi friends,

    I understand this topic...

(Direct) authentication of the Active Directory database can be activated at the same time as the local database and the H.350 directory service authentication.

In such circumstances, you could, for example, use Server Active Directory (direct) method for Movi / Jabber Video and the local database or authentication H.350 directory service for other devices that do not support NTLM.

Challenges of default NTLM protocol is 'Auto' sense decides to VCS, based on the type of device, either to send NTLM challenge.

Assuming it is that only VCs do control i.e. no VCS highway in game...

If I integration of ads and subarea area & default default value 'check the credentials' and I think connections MOVI challlenged via AD but normal endpoints will be authenticated through the local database. (assuming that they are in the subzone of the default)

If I integration of ads and subarea area & default default value "do not verify the credentials" then the Logins MOVI will still be challlenged via AD or rather they will be authenticated via the local database?

Basiclly I want to determine is challenges of the NTLM protocol default setting "Auto" be completely ignored if subarea area & default default value "do not verify credentials?

    Kind regards

    MILIN

    Hello

do not check credential is valid for the TMS agent however TMS - PE space default setting should be "credential verification".

and even if you have NTLM defined as 'auto' he does not have the AD users to connect.

  • iTunes not finding files in the same directory

I have about 350 missing files in my library of thousands of songs iTunes music - I do not know how iTunes lost track of them, because I did not move, but I replace the hard drive that my library had a few weeks back.  Apart from that, if I find a single file to an album, iTunes then asks the standard question, "would you live iTunes to use the < name of track > location to find other missing files in your library?  When I click on the "Search files" button in this dialog box, iTunes allows you to easily search the rest of the album that was missing.  However, he is not doing this and now impossible to find one of my other missing music.  I'll have to match every file missing one at a time, which will be incredibly tedious.

Is this a bug introduced in a recent version of iTunes?  This feature is used to work properly, although I have not used in the better part of a year now.  My PC is running Windows 10 and iTunes v12.4.1.6.  I've probably will eventually present it as a question to the support of iTunes, but wanted to see if another person had this same experience first and might know what is happening.

    Thank you!

The "missing file" error occurs if the file is no longer where iTunes is expected to find. Causes possible is that you or a third-party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, one of its parents, or the reader, records it feeds has been a change in the letter of the drive or you have moved a non-portable library to a different path (see make a split cell library for more details). It is also possible that iTunes has changed from waiting for the files in the presentation of pre-iTunes 9 post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice versa, and so looking for a bit in the wrong place.

Select a track with an exclamation point, use Ctrl - I to get the information, and then click No when asked to try to locate the track. Look under the file tab for the location that iTunes thinks that the file should be. Now look around your hard drive. I hope you can locate the track in question. If a part of your library has just been moved, renamed a folder or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse actions. If the difference between the two railroads is an additional music directory in a path, then it is a problem of layout. I can explain more if this is the case. If everything is where it is supposed to be trying to fix the security permissions for iTunes for Windows.

In some cases, iTunes may be able to repair itself if you go through the same steps with Get Info, or during playback of a track, but this time, click on search and browse the lost track. Then, it can offer try to automatically correct the other broken links. Although he said something like 'use the same location' I think he expects to find titles in the same provision, artist / album, they were previously, with a systematic change to the path.

If another application like Windows Media Player has moved/renamed files, or the library was moved from OS X to Windows, then chances are that subtle differences in naming strategies it will be difficult to restore the media to the precise path that iTunes is pregnant. In this case, as long as the missing files somewhere, you should be able to use my FindTracks script for reconnecting to iTunes. See this post for an explanation of how it works.

If you want me to try to provide specific advice, please post back the following details:

    1. The location of the media under Edition folder > Preferences > advanced

    2. The location of a sample of missing follow indicated under Get Info > file > location that begins file://localhost/

  • The real path to the file which you gave 2 details

  • The missing files (NOT deleted) of the file/directory of the system drive NTFS

    Greetings!

I have a WinXP SP3 system with a SATA 2 TB to the additional internal address as a data reader. This player has only the data (.mp3, video) files in a directory and has never been used for anything other than data files. There is only one directory for the files, and although it is four levels of subdirectories to the bottom, the tree is only these four subdirectories.

A week ago, I noticed that the free disk space on this drive jumped from 350 GB up to 1.2 TB, leaving about 600 GB of data on the disc (about 2 500 files). After checking what is obvious (Rebreather, etc.), I noticed that the missing files were all from one file *. * to n *. * and [0-9] *. *. All files beginning with o *. * to z *. * are still there. So, essentially, Miss me about 9 000 files.

I checked to see if the missing files could be cancelled or retrieved and downloaded several utilities 'undelete' recovery or data. All public services showed that there was no data to recover, that is, the files just disappeared or evaporated.

Where did they go? I'm totally distraught about it.

The files are not hidden, because the reduction of space disk; hidden files still take up the space.

I didn't something in training in the hope of recovering the data. I thought that perhaps an index obtained corrupted or deleted because files deleted did not appear in the correct order of the directory index. I ran a chkdsk on the volume, he came to own, and the files were still missing. If the files have been deleted in alphabetical order, they would still be "deleted", recoverable files?

I also tried to see if I could do a restoration of the system to the point in time before the files have disappeared, but my System Restore says there is nothing to not restore, no action to take.

    Any ideas appreciated.

    ....k

R - Studio found the files missing, but only about 75% of them were really recoverable. Those who were not recovered was a length of zero byte. The advantage is that the names of the files were still intact, so at least I know which ones to re - create. The downside is that it's a few thousand files that need to be redone. That will take time, but a lot less time that I would have had to spend to recreate all missing files.

R Studio also found entries previously deleted files, and I got these, too. However, the recovered files are damaged and unusable. Given that I didn't really need those, it wasn't a problem. I mention this simply as something that R-Studio accomplished (and the other tools do not have).

The recovery is complete in terms of finding the missing files and restoring their readers to spare.  It took a lot of time, about three days I was doing piecemeal in bursts of 500 GB move the files recovered on spare disks. I'll move the files that I had not lost before out of the disc problem, as well, and then replace it. readers are cheap these days.   :-)

Thanks for the help! Also, thanks for the recommendation R-Studio; This is a very useful tool and well worth the expense!

  • Cannot delete the file/directory/app in Finder

I tried to update WhatRoute but something went wrong. I rebooted the update and that worked well, app works.

However, since that time I have a file in my trash, called 'WhatRoute.app' which cannot be deleted. Finder said "cannot be deleted because it is currently in use". Activity monitor shows nothing. Restarted several times, also I tried mode secure but nothing helped.

Tried to use Terminal using the "sudo rm... / WhatRoute.app", but get an error message indicating that it was a directory that cannot be deleted.

While it is now? an application in use or directory? And how do I get rid of him?

    Help, please!

Make sure that Whatroute isn't in the login items, then restart the mac and try to empty the trash again.

  • Open migration to Active Directory directory Windows vs Mac

OK, so I help my old school to their IT needs, because they do not have a person hired for this role.

Currently, they have a center where the staff use computers based on Windows 10 10 (systems of Core 2 Duo, especially assembled; all about 3 years) connected to a Windows 2008 Server (from Dell; about a year). As the institution wishes to expand the computers available to their staff (from 90), my suggestion was to move to Mac (probably 11 '' MBAs), with a MacBook Pro 15 "is the duty of the server.

This migration can be done in one shot and would happen progressively (probably MBAs purchased each year for the next four years, 20-25).

The current configuration is that there is a local + Admin user configured on each of the 10 Windows PC - based, with all personnel having access to the user not local administrator.

In order to facilitate the management, I would like to move to the logons on the network, as we begin our migration to a Mac OS environment.

Should we configure AD on Windows Server and bind it as MBAs, and when to buy us, with the final being the MBP 15 "for server-buying functions, or is it possible we can get the MBP 15" now and use Open Directory and binding the existing 10 10 Windows-PC with the macOS Server?

NOTE: The school operates Google Apps, and all employees have a Google Apps account with a custom domain name.

You can't link PCs to Open Directory without using 3rd - Party (page). In addition, depending on the operating system will not work reliable? You'd have to trial it first. Beyond bond and provide a home folder there will be nothing else. No management, no policies etc Open Directory to your PC.

Support way to achieve this is to use Active Directory and complete with OD to manage your estate of mac only. Again, you can apply GPOS for Mac without 3rd - Party help which can be very expensive.

Not that it's something that you would consider - although you could do? It may be preferable to go ' all the mac "If your intention is to switch to Mac OS. If your PC using the software that is available only for PCs consider using virtual machines on your Mac to keep this aspect of the school.

I just noticed that I just send a message to someone, I've never heard of. • Why finder hide Documents and office files in the home directory of the user by activating iCloud drive? What about the behavior of Time Machine backup or third-party applications?

I'm under MacOS Sierra. I am connected to my iCloud account. I activated the option Desktop and Documents, but I did NOT activate the option optimize Mac storage, because I wanted to make sure that all my files would be available locally, just in case, I would need to work without an internet connection.

-J' noticed there now a menu iCloud in my sidebar in the Finder, with links to Documents and desktop.

-J' also noticed that Documents is no longer presented in my favorites in my side bar of the Finder.

-This last suggests that files saved in 'Documents' are not saved more on my HD... but only in iCloud, which isn't what I want.

-Then, sailing in the Finder Macintosh HD/users / 'My account' /, I noticed that my Documents and desktop folders are more visible, as if these files are not saved in my home folder most. Which raises the question: where are My Documents and files on my HD, so they are still?

-Using a shell session in the terminal and again navigate to/Users / 'My account' /, I noticed that my Documents and desktop folders are still there. Which suggest that records and records of office reside actually still in my home folder under users, but Finder actually hide it and present them as being stored in iCloud only disc. It's very confusing.

    This raises several questions:

-In the first place, why Apple hide Documents and office files in the directory? Why not view these folders in iCloud and directory?

-Whence the iCloud folder or drive, reside actually on my hard drive?

-What time Machine. Is it still back up my document files and folders?

-What games third-party app mirroring backup of My Documents files and folders? They still work properly? (I use Livedrive backup and Sugarsync for files mirrored across several macs).

-How can I understand that Apple is doing with my folders and files? Some users might be happy with the iCloud drive concept, without worrying about how it works, but I don't take chances, and I want to keep a good understanding about the functioning of my system.

Could someone explain what is exactly happening?

With office and selected Documents, access to these files are now in the iCloud Drive, not in your home folder.

My guess would be that they do not appear in your file because it would be confusing for many people to make them in two places.

If you want in the Favorites, open iCloud Drive and drag them in the sidebar here.

All about iCloud drive has been saved on your Mac. With the exception of the office and the Documents, they are in ~/Library/Mobile Documents. However, if you choose optimized storage, older documents are removed from your Mac. I don't know what is "old".

~/Documents and ~/desktop have new metadata indicating probably Finder does not display them in a Finder window, only in iCloud drive. They are not hidden in one of the normal methods of unix.

I have not tested Time Machine or any other backup program. The folder still exist in your directory home, and they still have all the files, I don't think that changes anything.

There is no way to tell from a list of directories. You will need to inspect the content. Even in this case, it is not possible to say. Apps often use cultivated files hidden like this for license codes and other DRM strategies.

  • Legacy FileVault Home Directory question

    Hi all

I have a clients computer which executes 10.11 but always uses the legacy file Vault. Here is some of the best. The sparsebundle is 480 GB but computer customers is only 600 GB (old Tower of Mac Intel). For obvious reasons the client wants the file disappeared, but since this is the encrypted version of the base directory I cannot remove it (tried and have reconstitute with TM). I can't turn it off because it requires a lot of space to turn off filevault.

Any suggestions? I'm at a point where I just want to reformat, but I hesitate because I would have to restore with Time Machine and just to bring back the old file not to mention disk encryption that already scares me.
