had a problem w hile that burn CDs in my Media Player

IM those problem cd burning from my microsoft windows media player windows7 my riped to media player list. What can make cd or dvd burn never again drive

Hello

You might have problems to drive as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational parts while
others do it properly.

Speed used, the actual brand of discs, burning and that live file or ISO image all
come into play. A cleaning disc can sometimes help.

The rest of this section is information with the foregoing into consideration jump down for
the " Troubleshooting " and EVERYTHING below.

Troubleshooting : (everything below this level)

Follow these steps to remove corruption and missing/damaged file system repair or replacement.

Start - type in the search box - find command top - RIGHT CLICK – RUN AS ADMIN

Then run checkdisk (chkdsk).

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

Step 1: Please make all underneath the same if you have done some before as is often
the set of operations that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device.
The driver tab - click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then do a RIGHT CLICK
the reader - UNINSTALL - REBOOT this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if
disc does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, might have a
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, and then make sure that the cables
at both ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean the
power and data of the contacts with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the system
Designer and manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD
& Burn DVD and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 parts to no function
while others are doing so correctly.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
the correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys to what I believe are the ones in question - for the CD/DVD drive subkeys
course because there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask involved specific keys
as well as the parameters.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Hardware Profiles\0001\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE

You can probably find more info here and maybe even the exact registry for your CD/DVD settings
drive from someone with the same model.

Use DevManView to locate the CD/DVD in the registry (be careful and do a prior Restore Point)
nothing change) - find the DevManView device and then make a right click on it free in RegEdit.

DevManView - free - an alternative to the standard Windows Device Manager, which displays
all devices and their properties in flat table, instead of the tree viewer

  • Can't burn CDs with Windows Media Player

    Hello

I have problems with CD burning on my computer satellite phone. Had the laptop for a few months and have had no problems. However only found an extra software with the DVD drivers CD so downloaded it - big mistake!

I had to restore in settings a few weeks that I could not delete the programs. That s all is well now, but since I was unable to burn CDs in Windows Media Player. I click on "burn" and nothing happens, and the right side says CD has nothing on the subject (it s a blank CD).
All tried and checked my settings, etc, can't think of what it could be.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I would be grateful for any help.

  • Problem: Burning CDs with Windows Media Player

I'm having a problem with burning to a blank CD using Windows Media Player.  The songs that won't burn have a red "X" next to them and details of the mistake of saying "this file cannot be burned to a CD, because it is not on your computer."  I looked at the location of the file, and it is located on a web address.  I would really appreciate any advice you have to offer on how to solve this problem.  Thank you.

The files must be downloaded to your hard drive.  Windows Media Player cannot burn files on the internet.  Are these songs to a music streaming service?  If so, they must be purchased before burning.

  • text to burn cds on windows media player

I would like to know if it is possible to add text (the album title, artist name, song title) in the CDs that I burn on Windows Media Player.

    Hi FreddieHayes,

Windows Media Player does not burn audio CD, CD text, and it doesn't have the plug-ins Windows Media Player from Microsoft which will be added to this support.  There are many applications that make the third party CD burning. Moreover, if the CD supports playback of WMA or MP3, you can use Windows Media Player to burn your CD with more songs by CD and all track information.

However, there are third-party applications that will enable this feature. You can check on the internet for plugins like these.
Note: The use of third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • Impossible to burn CDs in Windows Media Player 7

I can not burn CD more. It just stopped burning. Some of the music I want to burn also has a red x on it. I don't know what is happening.

  • Too high bass after burning CDs with Windows Media Player 12

When burning the CD on WMP the bass is medium to high.  I noticed happens that on some CD burning, but the amplification of the bass is very noticeable.  Even if I turn down the bass on my player it still sounds weird.  There is a sort of change in equalization going on during the burning process.  When this happens on a CD, it affects ALL the songs on it. Then I will burn another mix CD and the same exact song will not have the bass amplification.  Is it possible to prevent this?  It might have something to do with the characteristic sound of leveling?  Or maybe the burning speed?

I record on CD - R discs.  It does not do anything on MP3 or Audio on the disc, just CD - R.  I noticed this on my car player CD system.

Audio/mp3 is how to actually burn the disc... Audio discs are similar to a cd... upto 80 minutes in length classical music, but many modern readers will also play cds that have MP3s on them.

If you want to re - rip to wma lossless format just make sure that you copy protect them. (under settings "rip music" in the options of wmp)... come back to me, if you need more advice. Best - R.

To resolve this problem, do one or more of the following and then try again:

    a. Verify that the CD burner is properly connected.

    b. clean the disc and verify that it is not damaged.

    c. try a different brand of blank discs.

    d. If another program is currently burning files on the CD, wait until the burning process is completed.

    e. Quit other programs that may be using the CD burner.

    f. restart Windows Media Player.

Original title: Net User ID & Net password

After the upgrade from Vista to W7-64 CV, I have a problem with an active WiFi Seagate GoFlex TV Media Player asking for a "Net User ID & Net password" to log.  I used all imaginable combinations of IDs & passwords, but they all lead to logon fails. I'm almost certain that it is a W7 security problem because others with the same players who went to W7 face the same problem.  I found many supposed fixes online, but none works.

I am aware that MS W7 works as it should and Seagate is not their problem, but if anyone can recommend a change of security to help this issue, I guarantee a pass towards the sky.

PS: All the sharing, etc. continuously.  are installed as they should be.

The only reference to Net User ID and password I can find is on page 46/47 of the User Guide. If this is not the user name and password of the Windows account that you want to share files with, I don't know what it is.

I guess patches that you tried to include those that are mentioned here:
