Haley at stages of Migration of OPA

Hello

We can help with the steps likely to follow (can be experience) for migration rule authority of Haley to OPA. ?

Version of rules authority of Haley is 5.2d.

1. what I learned that there is no tool or assistants to these migrations. Is this true?

2. can we staright away to import a .akb file in the OPA?

3. If we are to make an estimate, how to get to the same (from previous experience)?

Kind regards

1.) there is no tool or assistants.  HaleyAuthority and OPA always were separate products.

2.) No. HaleyAuthority akb file was a proprietary format (this is the underlying database model and would be too complicated to glean a lot of info of) However, HaleyAuthority reports will provide useful information in this time the conceptual model can be declared totally and modules and statements can be reported.  This will make it easier to see which, if any, the functional differences between the products were obtained and must be taken into account in the planning of a transition.  (example authority supported a conceptual model of multiple inheritance and provided the ability to attach if and only if and unless statements directly to modules). On the other hand, OPA checks several rules with the same conclusion, provides a different way to express rules that loop through entities, etc. Keep in mind that the logical equivalence can be achieved between the two products, but requiring this logic to change expressions.

(3.) I would rely on the reports of the authority for you provide detailed specifications for the rules and the model and then use it to estimate the effort of the OPA.  In addition, you should also look at the integration of the complete system to determine if one of the OPA standard connectors can be used or whatever which needs to be developed.

  • CF9 upgrade to CF11 w/IIS is unable to get to the stage of migration/configuration

I'll finally approval to my update not as a stand alone, side-by-side upgrade which was make me do a significant Gash was not working because of our funky twists coding and security, we have implemented in the code.

Unfortunately, when I do the upgrade and installation it installs, but I can't move to the phase of migration/configuration of the facility.  I see nothing in the error logs.  Sometimes I get the message of 500.19 error when I try to connect to the administrator myself, other times nothing.  When I get the error HTTP 500.19-Internal Server Error it designates the file ApplicationHost.config or web.config that contains the malformed xml element.  When I look at the web.config file it contains about 9 event handlers use jrun_iis6_wildcard.dll or jrun_iis6.dll.  I do not have the IIS6, IIS7 configuration selected in the new installation of CF11, but I can't go forward.  I want to just copy these 2 files to my installation of CF9, but I don't know where to put them.  I even renamed the web.config file so that IIS would recreate it so he wouldn't refer to the Web.config CF9 old and stuck there, what a time error message referred to in these lines in the file web.config CF9.  I understand that this issue blurs the borders of category of ColdFusion/IIS.  I don't know where my error lies with IIS or CF11.  I want to just manually enter these managers in IIS 7, but my boss seems to think that we must have wsconfig do that for us in case it puts code somewhere else and we lose configuration changes that really puts us in a spiral.  Any ideas/suggestions?  I hope that I was clear enough.

Another thing is that we have our CFIDE to CF9 file located in a directory other than for security reasons I suppose, but I can't understand how CF is aware that he must go to run.  In the CF administrator, it refers to another for CFIDE folder that does not exist.  I saw a reference to the correct location, and it is in the registry while I was sure CF11 references have been removed. CF9 he had there. I guess I wonder if there is a setting somewhere that I need to change if CF11 will look in the right place and then run and go ahead with the part of the migration/configuration of the instalation.  I can't find it in any of my research looking for the foldername in the files.

I inherited this project and there is very little documented regarding configuration changes that have been made.

    Thanks in advance!

    Jennifer

OK, my installation works, although I always try to get the apps to work (I think that the problems of permissions).  Since I continued to have problems of migration we created a CAR first with CF9.  We were then just do an upgrade directly on our development server.  I performed the installation with the server configuration and selected configure my server Web ColdFusion 11, IIS. When you launch the browser to connect to CF11 administrator if you get 500 error may be because the SSL for the CFIDE > folder in IIS administrator is selected.  Deselect it and this error messge should disappear (if it is).  We continue receiving a message from 404.7 error refuse to file extension.  I thought it had to do with my cfm extensions because I was trying to open a cfm, but it wasn't the case.  The error mentioned isapi.redirect.dlls.  I finally found an error message under my FailedRequestLogs IIS that mentioned something about request filtering.  It turns out that .dll is not in his list of my virtual folder from Jakarta.  Once I added this and restarted IIS, I could enter my CF Administrator 11 and installed the file of the CAR.

Now I'm getting unauthorized errors and need to understand this. The permissions are similar to the cause of this.

Things I learned (you know already that):

    • CF9 may have placed everywhere CFIDE, but CF11 must keep where it is installed.
    • Cf11 didn't need metabase IIS 6 installed, unlike CF9 compatibility (at least we did)
    • We continue get a MIME Type error message also overlap for .air.  Which has been added to the server level and inherited at the Web site level.  I deleted at the server level and he added to the Web site level.

    I hope this helps someone.

  • OBIEE 12 c Analytics page is not opening after 11G migration

I installed OBIEE12C in the Linux system, that doesn't have any other application. All services were running after installation, able to connect to the analytical page.

Then I have a migrated application to oracle OBIEE11G 1.1.1.7 to OBIEE12C 12.2.1.0. We are after two stages of migration in accordance with the guidelines and using the MigrationTool.sh file to create the .jar file and then import to 12 c environment.

All the step of migration succeeded. After the Migration, it is watch successful message, but when we try to connect from analytical URL, is getting hanged with message "signing in" after newspaper correct userid and password. I can open the RPD migrated 12 c even system administrator after you download it and I can see the data of the RPD (see data). But when logign by analytical page, his request for user and password then get suspended.

I tried with simple migration of RPD also who has only a simple RPD and a dashboard, always after the migration cannot connect in analytics. It was working properly before the migration. That services are up and running I can verify with the same userid of the EM.

Something is migrated, but I guess it's just a piece of it (I planned to test this part in detail in the coming weeks).

But as there are tons of models of security different users can configure they can't really make a migration of "miracle".

I guess that it migrating application roles (default 12 roles have a different name if I'm not mistaken) and you saw that application roles were there. But it cannot migrate any user or group that is part of Weblogic and not really a component of OBIEE. So because of the different names in default 12 c the migration wizard cannot find the group that's wanted to attribute it to an approle and you close up with approles empty.

If you had an external authentication provider and you did before in 12 c installation migration I figured everything was fine...

The important thing is that you can now login and validate the process of migration on your system.

Can you maybe close the thread because at the moment it is still this question is no answer. ?

  • The EBS R12 upgrade and solaris to linux in a one-way migration?

Hi all, first post on this forum so bear with me.

I plan on spending 11.5.10.2 Solaris (sparc) 64-bit EBS EBS R12 on RHEL 5 x 86-64 a and would like to know if I can make in a shot that is the migration and upgrade in one step or I need to go to R12 first and then migrate first and then upgrade or migrate.

I understand the stages of migration and upgrade, but have not seen any documentation to support on the combination of them, someone does that?

    Thanks in advance
    Jeremy

    Hello

You can upgrade the application in the Solaris to R12 box then migrate the R12 to Linux application (since your target OS is 64-bit Linux, please note that you can not migrate the 11i application as 64-bit operating system is accredited as a layer of database for the Oracle 11i applications only).

To install R12 11i, please see:

  • Repaint problems with 4.0.2.15

    Hello

After the passage of 3.2.20.09 to 4.0.2.15, I have a problem with the window repaint: at some point (in this case ramdomly) when I change to another application (IE internet Explorer) and then I go back to sql ADNxtc appears that shponkah results. The worksheet is gone, the login window has disappeared, the menu went etc...

If I move the mouse on the screen, when I go to the menu then it appers, so it seems even some repaint problem (not sure about that).

In any case, is difficult to work like that because I have to select the text on the sheet or mouse over all the sqldeveloper window to see again all the things. Finally, I have to close and reopen the sql developer...

So, it seems that all is well with the memory and the JVM.  Strange that in your previous posts the problem manifests only after hours, but now quickly fires.

From scratch, after having eliminated the memory as the culprit, the standard advice when the user interface behaves badly are to try to rename or to delete the following folders, and then restart SQL Developer, jumping on the stage of migration of user settings...

  • Engine rules Oracle political Aitomation VS Oracle

Anyone have experience working with the OPA and the ore?

How the rules of the ore can be migrated in OPA?

Where can I Get ORE Documents and evaluation Installer?

    Side note:

WebDAV also provides a possibility to store your rules files in the management systems content such as SharePoint (which can have versions lit.)

As I understand it, the thing's not store/access/reviewing the OPA to pronounce on a Web site. The trick is the adding/changing/deleting rules outside the tool Oracle policy automation with a high level of confidence that the changes are correct.

Personally, I would limit people to insert comments and normal text in documents rules outside the ability to compile/test in OPM.

One last comment. You can, of course, save as documents such as "Web Pages" or PDF if you want to read only web pages of your rules of takeover by people who do not have Microsoft Office...

When I look at the level of the container, before the call, there a content of 0 length, so maybe that it is a mistake to good. Yet, I am passing the previous format of TLF API (container/paragraph/character for TextLayoutFormat), and I get this error when I've never done before.

From a code perspective, I'm essentially dependencies of the recomputeContainers function in the paging example that has been on your blog for a while, he performs a loop to create 10 containers at a time, then dial the call is made, and this process occurs until all the content was composed. This loop runs several times, but then around the 4th time (I have 30 pages and 40 controllers), I get the error when the call to dial.

My migration was not very creative, I just found all that I was using the previous format API and changed to the TextLayoutFormat. In addition, I make an important call of TextFilter.import of markup that I didn't do any changes to migration (should I?) at all.

Is there something at the stage of migration that I'm missing, or there at - it specific a reason why deal generates this exception now rather than previous versions of vellum.
Thank you for you attention to this point.

  • Migration to v10.4 OPA of Haley v9.4

    Hi all

I'm currently in the progress of migration v9.4 haley to Opa v10.4.

I imported the project v9.4 OPM v10.4 and created the new rulebases (v10.4) for the OPA v10.4 to deal with.

What is the right way to upgrade projects and the rulebases? Thank you.

As currently for Haley V9.4, we actually use the xml configuration file, so we have this migrate to the new config xml recognized by v10.4. However I have only migrate part of it and try to deal with the new XML, output are all empty so I wonder if there is nothing wrong with the new xml configuration syntax.

    Here is the example:

    Old config attribute:

    <>attributes
    < attribute type = 'Boolean' source-field = "account_mssl" source-table = 'account' target-attr = 'account_mssl'-l' target entity = ordinalite 'account ' =.
    exit '1' = 'true' / >
    .
    .
    < / attribute >

    New attribute Config

< mapping entity = table 'account' = "account" of the primary key = "#" >
    < attribute type = "Boolean" name = "account_mssl" field output = "account_mssl" = "true" / >
    .
    .
    < / mapping >

The mapping of the relationship, the new syntax is correct for the onetomany relationship?
    Old configuration
    < relationship source-table = 'global' target-table = "account" entity-source = 'global'-l' target entity = 'account' type = "1 m" key source = target "sett_run_id" key = "account_str_id" name = "settlementaccounts" reverse-name = "global_settlementaccounts_rev" / >

    new config
    < relationship name = entity-source 'settlementaccounts' = 'global'-l' target entity = 'account' type = "1 m" key source = target "sett_run_id" key = "account_str_id" reverse-name = "global_settlementaccounts_rev"? >

    Need some help here.

    Thank you.

    Kind regards.

    Hello

Batch processing, is a very different application since the old connector to 9,4 Data Source. Its much more powerful and easier to configure.

From batch processing documents to: developer of automation Oracle Guide policy

For a one-to-many relationship, the relationship mapping must be placed in the entity that owns the foreign key, it is usually the entity on the side "with many" of the relationship

    ...

    • Name, attribute - sets the name of public relations.
    • the source entity attribute - sets the principal source for the relationship.
    • foreign key attribute - sets the column in which the foreign key for the source entity is stored. This field must be an integer field that references a primary key in the source (or CSV) feature table.

So I think that your configuration should probably be the following

    1. put the relationship"element in the element of"mapping"for the entity 'account '.
    2. Make sure to set the "name" (public name of the relationship), entity-source (the one side of the one-to-many) and the "foreign-key (column database that is the foreign key).

In case you who should look like.

    ...

  • OPA vs Siebel 8.1 Haley business rule

    Experts

do you know if Siebel 8.1 engine Haley business rule supports the same functions as OPA which allows users using Word to write rules and import the word to OPA to run the rules?

    Thanks for your advice

    See you soon,.
    Eddie

    Hi Eddie

The Haley in Siebel 8.1 business rules engine is a family of products completely separated from the OPA. It is not possible to write rules of Word in the Haley business rules engine as you can in OPA.

The Haley business rule engine is no longer supported by Oracle and will not be updated in future releases of Siebel. If you plan to use it, you should think about OPA rather to use the current product.

  • 30EA2 - No. databases available at the stage of Capture with the MS Access Migration

I am trying to import an Access 2007 database by using the Migration Wizard. But when I get to step 5 (Capture), no database is listed in the section 'Available databases'. I have created a connection to the Access db and can see objects in ot of SQL Developer.

    What Miss me?

Can I use the SQL Developer Microsoft Access exporter to create the desired files. But I do not know how to integrate this into the process.

It seems the only available migration technique is to click on the MS Access connection and then click on "copy to Oracle.

I use SQL Developer 3.0.02 and MS Access 2007 (although I tried with MS Access 2000 as well).

    Hi Ken,

Cradle of the last sheet code developing sea jan 12 - in my view, there is little or no substantive changes required for the release of the adopter later than at the beginning.

1/create and populate/associate one repository: connection (with sqldeveloper specific tables)
Create the connection to the new schema
Right-click on the connection-> rtepository-> associated migration reposiory Migration
2/create a login for the online move data
    3/create a destination oracle schema
    4/kickoff of the exporter:
Tools-> migration-> Microsoft Access exporter-> (choose the version)
The Microsoft Access exporter you choose Exit to SQLDeveloper (which is
-a xml for the metadata file and
-possibly move the dat files for the data in the table offline)
and you can choose the microsoft access file
-the access file you need to modify the access file to allow access to the metadata needed to create the xml file: see before the migration of Microsoft Access Help.
5 / the kickoff of the wizard
    Tools-> Migration-> migration->
    in the wizard
Then-> choose repository-> then connection-> the name of the type on the top and a new directory (or a directory previously used for this purpose) on the bottom, it's a base directory for example creation generated script output and possibly given offlline move scripts-> next-> offline, choose your xml file created by the Microsoft Access exporter (it must filter down xml files to make visible the xml files (, the file selector)-> then-> (note contains selected databases ) next-> then->
    Choose the destination oracle schema
[I guess it comes to your own instance of XE small scratch - otherwise, you'll need to make sure that you grant privileges to this scheme, in my case that a schema has been created, called ]
[suggest drop oracle targets option if you've run through it before]
-> datamove online, choose source (access) and the destination schema (oracle)
[suggest data truncated if you have lived this before]
    -next-> finish

This kicks off you could get errors in the cmd window you launched it in by
    CD sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\bin
    . \sqldeveloper
    or in the logging pane.
There is a .sql file generated (a subdirectory off) the output base directory.

    (1) SQL Developer 3, I don't see the possibilities to specify one file, xml or otherwise, during the migration Assistant before step 5. Can you be more specific on where you're talking about choosing a file?

("To pick up in access file is an .xml file of the exporter instead of a .ocp file (you must change the file type in the file dialog box) (the main file seems to default to the .xml)" ")

You can choose the option offline (as indicated in the instructions above), which will then choose a file (by default .ocp but a .xml filter files is also available)

  • Passing the values in calculated fields / attributes of Siebel to OPA profile

    Hello..

I'm evaluate OPA for one of my clients in order to replace the authority of Haley integrated Siebel 8.x. As a first step, I would like to know if we can get the values of the profile and "Calculated fields" attributes of Siebel to OPA to be evaluated in the logic of the rules. Second, can we use OPA to run different validations of Siebel BC events such as BC_PreSetFieldValue, BC_SetFieldValue, BC_PreWriteRecord? My concern is that more than once, the values that must be validated are 'in flight' and not stored in the Siebel database yet. How would such be values passed Siebel OPA?

Are there standard guidelines when migrating to the authorization of Haley to OPA rules, specifically in conjunction with Siebel?

    Thank you...

In regards to calculated fields - as long as fields are defined on a business component you should be able to include them in the rules of the takeover bid.

For events such as BC_PreSetFieldValue, BC_SetFieldValue, BC_PreWriteRecord you can define, evaluate the rules against an active business object which will include the changes until they are saved in the database.

  • How long to migrate old Mac to new Mac?

I'm migrating my old Mac to my new Mac. I'm in year of transfer stage information for 3 hours now. How long does take the migration?

You ask a good question on migration data from an older Mac to a new. The answer, of course, is "it depends."

    Relevant issues-

The amount of data is moved? More data takes more time for obvious reasons.

How the two computers are connected? Wired Ethernet connections are generally faster than using a Wi - Fi connection.

What is the speed of the network?

That being said, I saw data transfers take more than 3 hours several times.

    Good luck.

  • Assistant Migration - copy a folder after a migration to the new computer

    Hi-

Today I created my new MacBook Air. I used Migration Assistant to transfer, wireless, my old MacBook Pro. I didn't have enough room so I disabled my music folder. After the migration is complete, I made little place on my new Air and represented the Migration Assistant. This time, I chose only the music folder. But the problem I have is that, at this stage, I am prompted to overwrite my account or duplicate... I don't want to do either... I want to just copy this folder on my existing account.

Sorry, this should have been posted under El Capitan. Just realized.
